Is the Marvel Legends Nemesis Wave hitting Wal-Marts? [Archive]

Some guy on the Fwoosh claims his buddy bought some. Then the buyer posted about how they were packaged/displayed and what they were shipped in and even posted the UPC numbers from his receipt.

I have called several Wal-Marts in my area and the UPC is a match for the specific figure it's used for.

I literally had an employee read back the description of what the UPC was for and she said Legends Bolt.

I know no pic equals no haul but the info I have been getting is leaning towards these things coming out.

is that the reason the Astonishing Beast from this wave is so hard to find right now? B/c they haven't actually hit stores yet? I'm not paying $40+ for a Beast figure, but I really do need him to complete my AXM set

So far they've only been from online stores.

Unless this report of a walmart is true....

I HOPE it's finally coming out, it's positively ridiculous on a legendary scale that this damn wave hasn't come out yet. It's hard to even give a damn anymore, but, yeah, I do hope these make it out, and damn well before Christmas.

One Wal-Mart near me shows 24, the other shows 5 but no one can see them at all in the store.

Maybe they are in transit, beats the hell out of me.

Yeah, I had to buy the variant Punisher on Ebay. I gave up on waiting for them to show up at WM. If they ever do, I think I just want Nova.

Forget those Punishers - I'd rather see the Thomas Jane Punisher from '04 (I think that was the year...) get a re-release. I never managed to get one.

That Punisher was really nice. But the Cammo one is pretty damn good too. It's a toss up for me.

Its about time these hit stores. I didn't wanna pay $40+ a figure either to get them all. It's been what, almost a year since they were supposed to be out? Technically 2 years? Utter BS imo. But its about fricken time.

The 2nd pistol does NOT come with him. And I painted the tip of it silver myself to match the other one since he had 2 in the movie. But they're not 1911s like they're supposed to be. Look a little like glocks but its hard for me to tell with how small they are. He only comes with the 1 Pistol, a Bazooka, an AR, and Railgun. And the jacket and stand too.

From what I have heard most stores did not get them period...I only saw a few cases of the Aries wave and none of the Nemesis figures at all!!

I didn't think it'd be that rare either. I saw them everywhere. I bought mine as soon as I saw it, cause I love the movie and Tom Jane. But I never pegged it as a "rare' figure.

They may have gone all PC and tried to rename the character, but the BAF isn't "nemesis", it's "Holocaust".

The Nemesis wave is still on hold with no confirmed release date - but trust us when we tell you that we’re working hard to nail this down. We want these to hit shelves as much as you do! The good news is that the next two waves of two packs should be arriving at retail in August - these waves will be available at Toys R’ Us and through Diamond Comics.

I have no idea why Wal mart is still seating on these and not trying to get them out ASAP. Maybe they're holding them for Christmas.

I figured with the amount of those stupid mini-figs ( Wolverine & marvel universe) that walmart was trying to push those and didn't want the real marvel figs distracting kids from buying the crappy ones. ;)

I hope to see them eventually there's a few of them in that wave I'm really wanting and I really don't have the $$$ for the ebay prices. And as for the small ones the only one I like is the Captain America and that's the only one I have.

The guy who found them was "Waiting" a memeber and the guy that does marvellegends.net and it further made this more believable.

However I greatly apologize if I have put anyone on a wild goos chase cause I have certainly done my share of chasing. :(

I hope that Walmart releases them! I actually saw them at my comic store a while back before I was interested in them. I think I saw everybody except Black Bolt. When I decided that I wanted Nova and Daredevil, they were long gone. I did end up buying Warzone Punisher for $20 cdn which is his standard price for all new marvel legends.

Another one of those shoulda bought it when I first saw it!

There is an old saying "no pics = no haul" but given that these already have had some limited release (Canada, eBay, e-shops) a simple picture will not suffice. So a scan of his Wal-Mart receipt will put this matter to rest. :)

It's not ML.net anymore, it's ActionFigures.net or something like that. He changed it since there's Halo and DC stuff on there too.

And I think thats a little fishy too.

There's no doubt he has (or knows someone who has) a full set, as they're up on his site.

I just found it odd that he happened to be the first. (and to be honest, I don't really care on e way or the other)

(I'm in Canada, and have not seen these retail yet... I got my set through BBTS)

Hi,

I can't explain why no one else is finding these, but I assure you that its true. A fellow collector texted me, and I left work immediately before even calling him. He bought one case and I bought the other. They had not been taken out of the boxes yet, which is why we both got full sets. The only fig that was 2 to a case was cammo Punisher, so we left two on the pegs. The rest of the figs were from the Ares wave; I believe it was Ult War Machine, Heroes Reborn Iron Man, and I'm thinking maybe Spider-Man 2099, though I was really focused on the new figs. The case had a end cap display box, so its possible they could be displayed that way.

I don't know if this store got them on accident, as Canadian WalMarts have had them for a long time, and the regional Wal-Mart warehouse is not far from Canada, or if they were just ahead of the curve. I can't tell you why there haven't been any more reported sighting, but I can tell you that they were indeed found at a US Wal-Mart on July 1st.

That was the breakdown of the case I got from BBTS, including that grey display box. (except it was "Scarlet Spidey" from the ares wave, not spidey 2099... but I'm guessing that's who you meant ;) )

You might also note that the Ultimate Warmachines helmet is glued on, and if you pull it off, the head underneath is unpainted, unlike the orriginal release of the figure.
