So here she is. My baby. Something I've been pinning for 3 years. AT&T finally got service here but they still wouldn't transfer my number. So I ported my old number to a Pay As You Go service (boost). So I'll rock two phones for awhile till everyone starts calling my new number. Shouldn't be that big of a hassle?

Now, I'm sure plenty of you have iPhones so please recommend me some apps. I've browsed the Top 50 and now I'm gonna start hitting some gadget sites looking for the best apps in the world.
p.s. I hate Apple but they've made one of the best gadgets ever. I can't even imagine my life without an iPhone and I've had it less than 24 hrs.

Excellent haul. Not crazy about the white, though. I'm looking to get one here in the next month - Black, 32GB 3GS.

I have an Itouch, so you should be able to get the same apps. It depends what your looking for, there are lots of fun games that can be downloaded for free off iTunes, (jellycar, various brickbreaker games, etc.) But if you want more, I would reccomend jailbreaking it, I have lots of original NES games and stuff on mine now :D

Yeah, Jailbreaking should be available soon enough for the 3GS 3.0. They are waiting till Apple releases a 3.1 update. I'm pretty sure I will be doing that.

Geez...lots of good stuff here. I'll start checking these out. Seems like there is just a ton to do with this machine. Thanks for the reco's.

Got it on there before I went to a party last night. We were all sitting around the campfire and I got up to grab a beer. Two girls were debating who sung the song on the radio so I whipped it out ( ;)) and settled that debate. Mwahahahaha, god I love this.
I don't even want to call this a Phone because that is the least attractive part of it. I mean it's nice that's it a phone but I bet people spend 90% of the time on it doing other things. It's like it's an added bonus that it also is a phone....

just ditch the old number, 99% of people don't call people by their number anymore, they call them by their contact name in their phone.. ;) program all your old numbers in the new phone and then call everyone to let them know your new number to change in their contacts info.

Yeah, for the most part yer correct. My problem is that I run a side "business" if you will and it's very "seasonal".... So some people that I don't hear from for awhile will up call and order a bunch....so I really don't want to lose that #. Plus, it's super cheap to maintain. $50 for the phone and 10 cents a minute after that. Hopefully after 5 or 6 months I won't even get a single call on it.

FYI for ya'll, found a pretty good site for wallpapers. sciphone.net (http://www.sciphone.net/). Pretty impressive selection, loads of comics and anime stuff plus all the regular hot chicks type ones.
Anyone have any reco's on a case? Been checkin' this Switcheasy (http://www.switcheasy.com/products/Rebel/Rebel.php?color=tiger#) one out. Not sure what color but they look pretty stunning. We'll see.

I ordered the Switcheasy case. One thing down, time to power forward and get the in-car solutions. I have a 93 Ford F-150. I'm done with FM Adapters. I think I'm gonna get a new Deck with an Audio In. I've seen some plug in solutions but I'm not sure if that's any better. Any reco's? Thanks.

I just got an Iphone and I refuse to pay for apps. That can get way to expensive way to fast and my phone bill with the iphone is already alittle high. I do love the phone though.
As for music in your car get an alpine deck with the Ipod cable. I have yet to try it with the iphone (plus I have an older version of the ipod connect for my alpine deck) but I love it with my ipod. It keep the ipod charged and everything gets controlled via the stereo so no messing with the ipod of phone while driving. Plus the deck decompresses the files so the music sounds better. The decks are about $150 for the cheap ones and the cable is only $35 on top of that. I would just ask the place you buy it from about the iphone or check out alpines web site.

I did see some stuff from Alpine, most of which was kinda $$$. I'll have to do some further investigation. I'll go chat with the local Audio guy here in town and see what he has got to offer as well. Thanks for yer help.

Wow, I totally forgot about having a .cbr reader. Good call. I have tons of comics online. I haven't downloaded anything lately but maybe I will.
Still working on getting a Facebook account. I told all my friends that I would get one once I got an iPhone so they're holding me to it. OWell, I guess it could be fun. I already piss enough time away on the internet, I don't need to add Facebook to the mix. Might as well join WoW as well right? Just live on here....

Awesome. Thank you so much for the list.
Anyone have any good Push Apps yet? I wanted one for Baseball score updates. There was one I found, SportTap (I think), but it didn't install correctly...I've noticed some of the Apps have some trouble with 3.0 so far. Thanks again everyone for the apps.

Just a heads up for all you fellow iPhone users, Statefarm does indeed have iPhone insurance. $30 a year with a $50 deductible. Not only does it cover damaged but it also covers STOLEN! So if some jerkass decides to boost yer cell, not only can you kill it remotely, but you can also get it replaced for next to nothing. It's well worth the $$$ IMO.
