I used to go on road trips to Montana (they have Shopko stores) and I used to have great luck finding SPs regs & variants. I can make some phone calls to see who took my place at my old job, but I can't promise anything because I was the only SP collector at the job. I was pretty lucky before, but I don't know how many more collectors popped up along I-25.Shopko and Meijers aint the same are they??

markm25, I'm not sure. If you can find out where she works, I can tell you. Due to my job, I come in contact with a lot of people everyday and I'm not sure which Carpenter you are referring to. I more than likely know her.

I wish I were back in the states, I was pre-registered for Cruising The Coast but had to miss this one due to this deployment to Iraq. I hope everything went OK with the car and the cruise. The Cruise went pretty well for most of the week. It rained Fri-Sun, a lot. It was pretty fun, though. It was my first chance at seeing the whole week run. I retired from the Air Force in July (too many deployments, then I got hurt in Kuwait so it was my time) and live in Louisiana.

I hope you guys stay alert & safe out there. You're in our prayers. Get back here safe & soon. See you at next year's Cruisin' the Coast.

I found a white McNair 12" (TRU) that I've been seeing people want on the BST board. Saw a Tim Brown no-towel or mouthpiece at KB's, and a couple of Ogdens at another TRU. No new anythings anywhere else I checked.

Will there be all 4 Gretzky teams represented with a fig? I really just want a Rangers Gretzky. I see on the boards that the Kings and another team (I forget right now which) are the regular ones.

There's a Walmart I've been meaning to check again. They have a lot of SPs on the clearance rack. Maybe they're getting new stuff, or even Coops.

Was you by chance talking about the Chase Holmes( white jersey ,white socks??) BTW there hasnt been any other collectors in there there was 3 white lightnings on the pegs the $50 to $60 WLs so it was worth his trip.

hey everybody, I live in Griffin GA just under an hour south of Atlanta. I collect both SP's and the non-sports stuff TMP puts out. So basically, most sports collectors think I'm a weirdo who lives in his parents' basement for collecting non-sports stuff, and most non-sports collectors think I'm a knuckle-dragging caveman for collecting sports figures. Anyhow, only place in my hometown with SP's is walmart, and it hardly ever has anything worthwhile. Found an Ogden there recently and got it for a gift for my dad. He was an offensive lineman growing up and he loves it. Other than that, not much lately.

Our Walmart (Covington, LA) had 2 Portis/Lewis on the shelf last night. I'm pretty sure they'll be there all weekend.

That was the only new find around here. I tried both Targets near me and they didn't have the 3" singles anywhere. At one store I asked the stocker, but without moving (except for standing up to answer me) he said something about not all stores getting all toys, and said I should keep checking back because they're preparing for the holidays. At some stores, that's the most help you'll get. At one Target in Colorado, one guy actually went into the store room to check on stuff, and brought out a new case for me. Lucky me, but I don't live there anymore.

I found NFL10 at Babbages in the Slidell's North Shore Mall last night. I bought a variant Roy Williams (saves me from having to buy the blue jersey Williams-I just don't like that jersey) and looked through the rest. No other Williams fig, nor a Vinatieri figure. I stopped by EB Games near Target, and they said they won't be getting any more SPs because they don't sell well for them. By the way, they only had Plummer and Bell remaining from the last two NFL series they had. I wonder where they all went if they aren't selling...

I asked about NHL Legends, and they said those will be there after the 16th. I just want a Rangers Gretzky, if I can find it. If not, I'll take what I get from the other teams.

They're building a Gamestop across the street from the mall. The sign is up, but it looks like it won't be completed before the holidays.

I just read another post that said the white jersey Roy Williams is actually the regular, not the variant. Suits me fine since I won't be chasing the blue-jerseyed fig.

I tried stopping at the local EB Games, and the guy told me I could reserve individual figs. I tried it, but after some computer inputs, he told me the figs had a D code on them, and he couldn't do it. He took my phone number down and said he'd check on it this week and call me with a status. One minute I was thinking, "Oh yeah! I can get the exact figures I want without having to buy the whole case!" and the next minute, I think they're being discontinued at EB Games, even though they're advertising them in their current flyer with pics.

I'll let you know how it turns out. It could mean SPs will go on the clearance rack there for 70% off really soon, but there wouldn't be any more for sale there. The hunt contiunes....

I just got my case from GS all regs (veniteri also) and a Williams chase (it looks good) there was a lady who also reserved a case she got out 4 pieces and left them one of them was a Delhomme chase so I got 2 the GS guy told me her case only had a williams chase

Yeah Ricky comes in light green (corrected) and blue or dark green/blue (error). No word on which is rarer, but since corrected are showing up so early, I'm saying the dark one is gonna be the rarer of the 2. Another thing on the Trent Green fig, I've seen reg with dirty towel, but all the variants I've seen have clean towel. You know anything on this?

Anything new guys? I just learned a couple of things. 1, Sam Goody here in Corinth is moving to a better location in Feb to the new mall. But after talking with the manager today, they may no longer be carrying sps. 2, also in Feb, EB Games is opening a store in the new mall. I don't know if they will carry sps as some do and some don't, but maybe.

If any of you collect the movie maniacs, Sam Goody got in 3 cases of MM7. And the Hicks figs have the motion tracker. They are not on the shelf just ask them and they will go in the back and get what you want.

I highly doubt anyone else around here will carry these since the WM's hardly ever get NHL and TRU has been selling theirs for $5.

Our TRU had NHL Legends. The only variant I saw was a white Cournoyer. I went there after Babbages told me they were selling them for $12.99. TRU had them for $9.99. I didn't like the way Gretzky's faces were so I didn't get them. I'll get a future Rangers Gretzky when it comes out, no matter what. I originally wanted all 4 teams, but I'll settle for the Rangers where he ended his playing career.

Target got restocked on their 3" football.

Still no new NFL 10. Good thing I got my Roy Williams when I did.

Went to see The Incredibles today with my family. I liked it a lot. That's a future DVD purchase for us.

I think everyone knows it, but I meant the KG/Ben Wallace 2 pack. The Ben/Sheed is gonna be a Meijers exclusive. I don't think we have any of those around here do we.
But on the KG/Ben pack, there are 2 diff ones. One has Ben with afro, the other with cornrows. Also Mark Weber said that the NBA 7 Ben got out in both versions as well. The afro version was supposed to be exclusive to NBA 7 single pack while the cornrow version was supposed to be exclusive to the KG 2 pack.

If anybody spots any of these please LMK. Cause I want 2 each of the singles and prob 2 each on the 2 packs

Okay, I just got back from a trip around town. I found a white Tomlinson and Gretzky at KB's. Picked up Tomlinson, left Gretzky. EB Games got nothing, and they say will get nothing as far as SPs in the future. Babbages had leftover regs of NHL Legends and NFL 10 from a couple of weeks ago. Target had leftover NFL 10 and 12" Sosa and Moss. Nothing special there.

TRU here has the $19.99 promo ($10 off at the register) on all 12" figs (NFL and Sosa & Ryan). Not sure about the Gretzky 12" figs (Oilers).

Here's something neat. I walked through the mall and found a kiosk (cart?) with SPs on them. They had regs for $9.50 and variants going for anywhere between $15.95-$29.95. I didn't want to say anything to the guy, but he had 2 Vinatieri figs up there for $9.50 each. I figured I'd come here and announce them first in case people still needed them for C&S. I think if he got word how many people actually wanted them, he'd jack up that price as well. He has a Deuce McAllister up there for $29.95.

Mark, on the Wallaces, so far I have seen a pic of blue fro with the sticker and white cornrows with the sticker. I have a white one on the way from DallasStarsFan, I'll put a pic up as soon as I get it.
I didn't even pay attention to whether the Force had sunglasses or not. I'll probably swing by there tomorrow and pick it up. I'll lyk.
