Was she hot? You should have gotten her digits. You could have never forgotten her birthday, it's the perfect setup. All you'd have to do is try to remember anniversaries and if you asked her out on halloween you would have been all set.

Archive (http://games.espn.go.com/cgi/ffl/playernewsarchive?statsId=2869) | ESPN Content (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/content?statsId=2869)
Miami Dolphins
News Frerotte has taken all the snaps with Miami's first-team offense this week, and head coach Nick Saban essentially confirmed Frerotte was still his starting quarterback, the Miami Herald reports.
"We are still competing at that position, but Gus has taken most of the reps," Saban said. "A.J. (Feeley) has done better and is competing well. We'll make that assessment day-to-day as the week goes on, but that's the way it is right now." Frerotte is expected to start for Miami in their exhibition game against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Miami Dolphins
News Although Feeley continues to improve in workouts at the Dolphins' camp, head coach Nick Saban says that Gus Frerotte is still the team's starting quarterback, the Miami Herald reports.
"A.J. has done better and is competing well," Saban said. However, when asked if Frerotte was still the starter, Saban replied that "we'll make that assessment day-to-day as the week goes on, but that's the way it is right now." Frerotte is expected to start for Miami in their exhibition game against Tampa Bay on Saturday, with Feeley probably entering the game in the second half.

Miami Dolphins
News Brown will get his first carries as a Dolphin on Saturday against the Buccaneers after ending his contract holdout nearly two weeks ago, the News and Observer reports.
The Dolphins have to be excited that they finally have the chance to showcase their number one pick. With much of the Dolphins' focus on Ricky Williams' preseason performance, it will be interesting to see how Brown responds to his competition in his NFL debut.

Archive (http://games.espn.go.com/cgi/ffl/playernewsarchive?statsId=5499) | ESPN Content (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/content?statsId=5499)
Miami Dolphins
News Chambers is excited about the progress and the changes that the Dolphins have made in the off-season, the Orlando Sentinel reports. "We had no identity last year," wide receiver Chris Chambers said. "We're building one already."
Chambers caught 69 balls for 898 yards and 7 TDs in 2004, and hopes to improve on these numbers in the upcoming season. With coach Nick Saban calling the shots, the Dolphins are optimistic that they can rebound from a 4-12 record a year ago. However with Gus Frerotte stepping under center for the Fins in 2005, Chambers might see a decline in his numbers considering the Dolphins' shaky QB situation. Chambers' offensive production will totally depend on Frerrotte's ability to get him the ball.

With neither Frerotte or A.J. Feeley taking charge in the starting QB race this preseason, The Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are considering a two-quarterback system. ''Well I've never done the two-quarterback system before, but I'm not opposed to anything that's going to help us win,'' offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said.
As if the quarterback situation in Miami wasn't bad enough from a fantasy perspective to begin with, it may have just gotten a whole lot worse. Unless there is some huge development and Feeley or Frerotte solidifies himself as a reliable starter, stay away.

09-11-2005, 07:42 PM
Our defense is 10 times better then yours (if you try to argue that you deserve to be shot)
And a McGahee hitting on all cylinders is better then any rushing attack you can put together. I'm so happy to see you guys get some life thrown into your franchise but no more then 24 hours ago each and every one of you were looking at an 0-4 pre-season and likely a less then amazing regular season. Now all of a sudden you play a weak broncos team weakened even more by a million injuries and you guys are the underdog pick to make the playoffs. Every dog has it's day, just because you got yours week 1 doesn't mean your season has magically been turned around.
Yukoner
09-11-2005, 08:00 PM
Our defense is 10 times better then yours (if you try to argue that you deserve to be shot)
I'll argue that. Absolutely. Ten times better... looks like math skills aren't very important to Bills fans.
Here's some more math that Chugga might need some help with:
10-6 > 7-9 (Last year's records by the two opponents)
275 > 170 (Passing yards)
2 > 1 (TD's thrown)
And yeah, your rushing attack gained a whole extra yard than the Dolphins. That's something to hang your hat on, eh?
Goalkeeper
09-11-2005, 08:05 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
listen, i'm not here to dog the Bills- they are a decent team and are better than the Fins (i'm under no illusions just because the Fins had a good day) but you need to lay down the crack pipe.
i know it hurts you DEEPLY but Willis is NOT an O.J. reincarnate (unless he decides to start killing people) and, quite frankly, isn't even a top 10 RB YET.

hmmmmmm
Ronnie Brown 22 Rushes for 57 Yards
Willis McGahee 22 Rushes for 117 Yards

And please fill me in on what passing yards have to do with a rushing attack.

actually THESE are the REAL numbers:
MIAMI: 33 attempts for 151 yards
BUFFALO: 36 attempts for 152 yards
so unless Willis and Ronnie are the only two people allowed to run the ball i'd say that your numbers are completely off.
nice try, though! lol
Chugga
09-11-2005, 08:22 PM
And once again let me point out the fact that you had a trick play that works about 1% of the time in the NFL....thats a big 61 yards off of your rushing total. If you can't look at your stat line and see that your rushing attack absolutely sucked then you are blind
Chugga
09-11-2005, 08:23 PM
You combine every runningback on your team and they couldn't even break 100 yards. You've got some gems in the backfield

dude please stop while you're ahead because you're totally destroying your credibility with this board. you're reaching and getting desperate and it's showing!
"padding the stats"
"half a brain"
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, OKAY!
so the next time we shouldn't count plays (or the stats) which you deem to be 'fluke' plays? so the next time a team scores a TD on a non-traditional play we should take the points off the board?
jesus. LOL!!!
last time i checked that play counts for rushing yards... not to mention you give ZERO credit to a coaching staff who probably busted the broncos for overpursuing the run and almost took it to the house. (too bad he stepped out at the 20)

In all actuality it's funny watching all of the dolphins fans hearts fill with joy after 1 week of play. 2 days ago they were talking about drafting Matt Lienhart, now they've got a rushing attack that even the Chiefs would be jealous of (granted their RB's couldn't get over 100 yards...but apparently wide receivers having over 1/3 of your rushing total is something to be proud of...reguardless of the fact that your RB's couldn't get over 100 yards).
Well it will be fun watching you be the Jets rebound ***** next week. Then we can start focusing on more important things.....like you'll be taking with the number 1 pick overall.

Man I missed a great flame war! Personally I give this one to Brian and not because he is a fins fan because he put chugga into his place! I know that the Bills think they have the best Defense in the history of the NFL but remember last year, you let the dolphins score what 32 points in a single game? One of the worst offenses in the NFL last year and you gave us the most points all season, the first game you guys won by a touchdown, 20-13, our defense has always been one of the best in the NFL. Last year it was an upper ranked D, and this year will be no different. I was very happy about yesterday but like Brian I am not saying we are going to win the superbowl this year or even make it to the playoffs, infact I have yet to see a dolphins fan say that, any of us on here. As for Bills fans, not you, but others after one game some bills fans want the whole damn team to have an sp because they "know" they are the best after one game! 22-7 against the Texans, congrats on a win, 34-10 against the Broncos, GO FINS!

It is funny, I have kept this thread going for a year now and when I originally started it, I was poking fun at all the nimrods posting after their first and second games how there team was the best! I deleted that part early on but I try to keep all my updates still on the first page!

I think Dolphins fans are the only ones not saying how they will win it all this year after their first win! Everybody else knows their team is the best! If dolphins make it to the playoffs this year I think we will all be supprised. This is a rebuildling year and we know it! Give it a couple of years or maybe even as soon as next and I think once again we will be a contender.

the most impressive thing about the Fins thus far has been the play of the defense. i thought we would see a significant dip in the play this year and the D has put the team in position to win both games. mare missing that field goal really killed me yesterday! the game would have taken on a different complexion had he converted!
i'm not going to dog the Bills just yet... they have a great D and Losman is going to be just fine... he just needs some time! frankly, i envy the Bills fans! at least they get to suffer through a guy who is probably going to be the QB of the future. we've got Gus! something tells me he's not going to be our starter in two years! :)

Losman actually hasn't been half bad. Our o-line is absolutely horrible a high school JV team could get a decent pass rush on us. We can run block like no tomorrow but there was a falcon in the backfield within 2 seconds on every play. Hell halfway through the game they started using a clock to show how much time Losman had to throw the ball and one of the times he had .9 of a second. But even when he gets time he's not seeing the whole field he missed moulds about 3 times...1 of which was for a sure td. As the season goes on I think he'll progress but right now he's got alot of learning to do
Chugga
09-25-2005, 07:49 PM
I'm not looking forward to this year....our line is making things difficult for Losman and it looks like Takeo Spikes may be out for the year. They said he's injured his ACL and thats NEVER good. Reguardless of how minor the injury may be it's still the ACL. Losman is basically a rookie QB so it's not like I'm hoping for a superbowl this year....I'd rather go 1-15 and let Losman, McGahee, and Evans get in a good rhythem then go 14-2 with Losman benched. I think he'll be alright in the future he just needs time. I figure Losman, McGahee, and Evans are around for the long haul so I just want them to mesh this year. Even if that means taking a backseat to the dolphins and jets...although we'll still sweep the season series.
I'd almost compare us to last years bengals when Carson Palmer was still trying to get into a groove. It took a while for him, rudi johnson, and chad johnson to mesh but once they did look what they are doing this year. I have too much faith in the bills scouts to not see JP Losman as a pretty good qb of the future. Everyone doubted the Bills when they picked Clements and now he's one of the best corners in the league. People couldn't believe we took McGahee and now he's going in the top 5 of alot of peoples fantasy drafts. People thought we were stupid for wasting such an early pick on an injury proned Lee Evans and he came out tops of last years WR class, and well I still think we were crazy for drafting JP Losman but I have this weird feeling he's going to prove me wrong just like everyone else did.

I still think we were crazy for drafting JP Losman but I have this weird feeling he's going to prove me wrong just like everyone else did.
i don't think the Bills were crazy for drafting Losman but I do think they were the most ******ed team in the history of the NFL for letting Drew walk when the team was in the PERFECT position to make a deep playoff run. The SECOND they named JP the stater they went from a 10 or 11 win team to a 6 or 8 win team.
chugga you KNOW i like the long-term future of JP but i do NOT think he was ready to take over as the starter of this otherwise talented team.
i was listening to NFL radio on Sirius and Malarkey was a guest on the show and he said after 3 weeks JP was making EXCELLENT reads and they were VERY happy with his decisions (making read/decisions guys his age and with his experience do NOT make at this stage of their career) but that it was all boiling down to excecution for him and that he simply needs to marry the perfect decision with perfect excecution.
i am going to curb any outward ethusiasm until 8 games into the season. at that point i think we'll know how good the Fins really are.

LOL THE CURSE IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Miami Dolphins today acquired quarterback Cleo Lemon from the San Diego Chargers in exchange for quarterback A.J. Feeley and an undisclosed 2006 draft choice. Also, on Tuesday, the team released wide receiver Cliff Russell, who was signed on October 12.
The 6-2, 215-pound Lemon is in his second full NFL season with the Chargers, in addition to spending 2003 on San Diego’s practice squad. The 26-year-old has served as the third quarterback for all six of San Diego’s game this season, while he was inactive for all of the Chargers’ 16 regular season contests and one playoff game in 2004. In the 2005 preseason, Lemon completed 34 of 49 passes for 369 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions for a passer rating of 111.7. In the 2004 preseason, he completed 17 of 27 passes for zero touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 66.6.
Following a stellar four-year career at Arkansas State (1997-2000), Lemon went to training camp as an undrafted free agent with Baltimore in 2002. He was waived by the Ravens on August 26 of that year, following the team’s third preseason game. San Diego signed Lemon on April 4, 2003 and released him on August 31, 2003 before signing him to their practice squad two days later. Lemon was re-signed to the Chargers’ roster on January 12, 2004.
Born, August 16, 1979, Lemon attended Greenwood High School in his hometown of Greenwood, Miss., before playing 42 games at Arkansas State. In his collegiate career, Lemon’s 7,706 passing yards, 49 touchdowns and 551 completions are all school career records.
Feeley was in his second season with the Dolphins after the team acquired him in a trade from Philadelphia on March 3, 2004. He started 8 of the 11 games in which he played last season, completing 191 of 356 passes for 1,893 yards, 11 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He was inactive for the Dolphins’ five games in 2005.

JP Losman will wet his trou when he faces this defense. Man, what a game.
I believe the trou is dry

It definately hasn't been a pretty game....watching Losman throw for 3 TD's in 1 quarter was pretty...but otherwise still pretty ugly.

Chambers, Taylor, Z. Thomas Selected To AFC Pro Bowl Squad
December 21, 2005
For Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor and linebacker Zach Thomas, it has become a common way for them to conclude the season. For wide receiver Chris Chambers it will be a brand new experience. All three will be representing the AFC squad in the 2006 Pro Bowl, it was announced today. The game will be played on Sunday, February 12 at Honolulu’s Aloha Stadium starting at 6:00 p.m. (ET), and will be televised live by ESPN.

The Miami Dolphins are expected to name former Houston Texans head coach Dom Capers as their new defensive coordinator, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported.
Richard Smith and Will Muschamp essentially served as the unit's co-coordinators in 2005. Smith had the title of defensive coordinator, while Muschamp's title Assistant Head Coach/Defense.
Recently dismissed as the Texans' head coach, Capers posted an 18-46 record in four seasons (2002-05), including a league-worst 2-14 mark this year. He was 31-35 in four seasons (1995-98) with the Carolina Panthers, and Capers was the first head coach in the history of both teams.
In only the second season of the franchise's existence, Capers, 55, led the Panthers to the NFC Championship Game in 1996. He was unable to register the same kind of results, though, in Houston, where the Texans never won more than seven games in a season under his stewardship and regressed badly in 2005.
Capers interviewed Friday for the head coach vacancy of the Buffalo Bills.
