I have a few NBA 8 regs (extras) F/T or F/S on the B/S/T board and wanted to include my bros in the PI.

In most cases, packages are opened in the Postal Office or Customs to check the value of the content but the presence of the addressee is needed. :mad: Custom fees... %$^*! If you are sending in bulk, it's better to send it via Balikbayan Box because it never pass Customs and it is much cheaper than USPS (EMS, Airmail, Surface), UPS, FedEx, etc. but it takes two months (they are all Legends when they arrive here - LOL) :( NBA regs would cost $14 up while Chase/Variants would cost $25 up depending on the player and the rarity. :D

Thanks for the pics. It really helps seeing them in the pics, but darn, it's not a Keyshot. Those rackets are premade rackets. The blade and the rubber sheets are glued together with a strong glue that makes it difficult to take the sheets off. They don't give you much of an option when it comes to mix-and-matching the sheets to the blade. The Keyshot is a bare blade and I glue the rubber sheets on myself. Thanks for looking though.

My wife an I are planning a trip to the homeland, but she's a bit worried about all the politics and turmoil you see on the news. I haven't been since 94, but I just want to assure her it's safe to go, she's a little hesitant. We palnning on going in November and plan on staying about 3 weeks:D Any advice would be good:D

My parents just went there this last April and stayed til' June. They stayed in Paranaque most of the time, didn't have any problems. As long as you're in the Metro Manila area, shouldn't encounter any problems.

As it is with visiting places one isn't familiar with, it helps if you speak the language and have family or friends who can take you sight seeing, show you the best place to get your dollars exchanged for Pesos, & what areas aren't the best places to be at...

I was born & raised in Cali, but studied there for a few years, so learned to speak Tagalog. Speaking English there w/o an accent tends to draw attention to one self as a tourist, so be weary in that regard. Not saying they target tourists, but sometimes they do give "special" rates in currency exchange or add "extra" charges :)

You know, I have a lot of friends and relatives who they themselves are apprehensive in going back home. Especially in taking significant others. My cousin especially is worried about taking his girlfriend who is Italian/Mexican.

I've been back on several occasions and nothing happened. I even went during the Marcos revolution in '86. The best thing is to not sport anything fancy or crazy like don't be wearing your Air Jordans shoes or your authentic Bush jerseys. Those will garner huge attention, and you might get jacked from the jealous types. But other than that, you shouldn't really have any problems. The people there are super friendly and accomodating. They'll know you are Balikbayans because of the way you talk and your lack of speaking the native dialect or your "americanized" tagalog etc. Most of that terrorist stuff that was happening used to happen way down south in Mindanao, so if you're anywhere but there, you should be fine.

I have a friend who is there right now with his girlfriend. First time for both of them and they are loving it. No NFL, MLB or NHL Sportspicks he says, but all NBA. There are collectors there, so don't be expecting to find a stash of black Finleys or anything. ;) I think you guys should take the opportunity to go. You will love it and not regret it. I was hesistant to go back in '99 for 2 weeks, but ended up extending my ticket dates for an extra 3 months. Had the time of my life. I think you guys will too.

BTW, sweet @$$ ****erson customs, what do you charge?? Also how much would you charge to get some nameplates made with a space for autographs, like you did the ****erson. I figure that would be a hell of a lot easier to send in for autographs, SHoot me a PM, thanks for the advice
