Hey, rb do you know what the best thing about watching a game in Mackey arena is? You don't have all those banners in your way!
I'm sure you've heard it but it's still funny to us Hoosier fans.

rb
09-21-2004, 10:18 AM
WRHIII,
that's a good one, eventhough I hate basketball, never heard it.
but it's not as good as the strange white substance they found at IU that everyone was afraid of, turns out it was....THE GOAL LINE!! :p

WRHIII

Also a good one! Maybe one day our football team will be decent again. I think the last time that happened some guy named Branch was running things for the B-ball team. The Hoosiers did put up a few points against Kentucky this past weekend. To bad the D gave up over 50! That's crazy, I thought the Colts D was the worst in the state.

Bump for a "GO COLTS!"

Not sure who nabbed the Sapp and TO 49ers from the 10th Street GameStop, but to he11 with you! :)

The GameStop still has tons of NFL 9 and 10. 2 Urlachers, etc. if you need anything - call them to check. I want this stuff moved out of there so they have plenty of room to order NFL Legends cases. :)

Born and raised in Kokomo. Moved to Kansas back in '99 for a job at Sprint. I was laid off from there back in '02. Met a girl, got married with a baby on the way! Indiana will always be home for me. sremmaz,
good luck in Lafayette, the meijer there sucks and the TRu is picked through before it makes the pegs, the wallmart is crazy, but I think they might still have Thomas-McAffery 2-pack. but the target is ususally pretty good, found a white Gretzky there last week.

thanks guys... looks like I will almost definitely be moving out here. Just need to figure out the logistics of how to most economically get my stuff from Sunny Southern CA out here.

checked the target today - nothing good - and both wally worlds, only the one on 52 carries them.

Oh well - thankfully I only collect regs and retro's so I'll just pick off what I need from the bay.

hope to hook up with you guys.

bishop, they were actually in Muncie today at 3:00 at the mall, the cheerleaders were handing them out and giving out autographs
the remaining posters are at all surrounding Union Federal Banks tomorrow while supplies last.
and the car magnets are at certain Marsh's at 6:00am around indy while suplies last

Posters (http://colts.com/sub.cfm?page=events&id=685)
Magnet Info (http://colts.com/sub.cfm?page=events&id=686)

I'm going to try and get a few posters but we'll see, I'm sure there is a limit.

All regulars of course. They also had about 15 Lewis/Portis 2-packs.

That was my Spreewell! After seeing every other Wally World in the country discount their figs, and knowing Fishers has a ton of them, I asked the toy manager if they were going to discount them (I figured I'd pick up a bunch for customs). She said they weren't planning on it because they sell too well (they've got at least 40 regs).

I got tired of waiting them out, so I returned 8 old figs I had planned on customizing but never got around to for NFL figs. When I went in the other day, the only one still left was a Hinske. I might have bought them back if I'd have known they were going to mark them down to $3. ;)

The local taxes are a food taxes in certain communites and the they will get to keep half of the money. This should pass easily as most of the communites have asked for this taxing power.

rb
05-08-2005, 04:01 PM
the indy star had an article last monday breaking down the tax. it will effect downtown restaurants as well as restaurants in surrounding counties, basically 5 cents on the dollar with 1/2 of that going to the particular county and the other 1/2 to the stadium. i'm all for it. especially if we get a Super Bowl.

Got the last Dawkins/Vick 2 pack at Target on 116th and 69 in Fishers today. They're tri-carded if you care about that. They also had the 3" NFL. I got 9 and left a Sapp that was scratched. Still need Favre, too. I must be missing someone else- can't find a checklist.

They had 2 Manning 2 packs, for anyone who missed them. One had some damage to the box.

I stopped by the Super Target at Southport, Target on East Washington as well as TRU and Meijer on East Washington and no two packs. In fact - neither of those Targets seem to carry SPs at all. Anyone else find anything? When do you think NFL Legends will hit?

I am a Cowboys freak and hope to get an Aikamn chase (assuming it's a blue jersey).

Purdue_Pete
08-28-2005, 08:04 AM
NFL LEGENDS ARE IN INDY

Just found two cases at Meijer on East Washington Street. Check the rest of the Meijer stores before the flea market guys get them all. There were about 16 left, so not sure how many there were originally. NO chases left though. I'm looking for a Blue Aikman. I would actually pass on a White Elway and no helmet Unitas - so I'll let you know if I find them. I may want a white Sanders if that is the chase though. Anyone find anything else?

ruggerx
08-28-2005, 04:14 PM
Noblesville Meijer had nothing (as usual). The Fishers (96th St.) had 2 of everyone except Unitas (1) and Sanders (3). The chase was gone (Unitas?).

The face sculpts are disappointing, but they all look good overall, especially the LT.

Hey Indiana crew. Anyone need a White Chase Elway? GameStop on 10th got in two cases and I took the No Helmet Unitas - but already had a white Elway. If you call they might hold it - otherwise I might be able to stop by on the way home and pick it up for you. Let me know (QUICKLY)...

ruggerx
08-31-2005, 03:30 PM
I can use the Elway if it's not too late.

Also, FYI, the Castleton KB has a bunch of NBA 7 & 8, plus Coop2 for $7. The woman working there snagged 3 NBA chases for herself, so I wouldn't count on getting any there.

Circle Center Mall is cool and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is open everyday except for Christmas day. You can tour the track in a tour bus, go in the museum etc.

I'm too tired to type the Pacers/Colts info now - but will get back to ya! :)

I'm new to the area, just moved down a month ago from Minnesota. Live about hour and half from Indianapolis. Going to go up there once Pacer single game tickets go on sale. Do they have a Saturday party thing at Conseco. I can't wait to go see the building. THe Timberwolves always had a big promotion for single game first day sales. Also, do any Colts due a regular Monday show at restaraunt. Would go check that out. Also, is there a big Mall are something in Indianapolis to take little kid too, that has some sports shops in it. I really no nothing about the city, but can't wait to check it out. One more, is racetrack open every weekend, do they have tours and stuff there. Really want to check that out......Oh, and checked Mejeirs down here tonight, no legends....

Castleton Mall is the biggest mall in the state. Quite large. Northwest Indy on Allisonville exit off of 465.

Thanks for info shelton....Does anybody have any idea when Pacer single game tickets go on sale. I believe the Timberwolves usually had them go on sale about month before the season starts. So early October. Is there any big sports themed restaurants in Indianapolis, near Conseco. Also, does Reggie Miller ever do any signings in the area, got a couple great 8x10's... I wouldn't mind getting signed.......

Where in Indiana are you? I live near Bedford and work in Bloomington:D.

Pacers tickets should go on sale in the next two weeks. Preseason games start the second week of October:D I've never known Reggie to do any signings but I've never really looked for them either.

Conseco is the most amazing in-door arena ever! Every seat is awesome, there are so many things to see and do it's awesome! Club level is the best seats in the house I think.
