Also, do the Toys R Us stores in BC carry a reasonable stock of McFarlane sports figures? I check in from time to time at the Coquitlam location, and see 'Toys R Us Canada' listed on the McFarlane website, but don't hear much chatter on the boards about it. I would be interested to know.

Still kinda new to this whole Mcfarlane deal, but its still pretty cool none the less. I am a huge Oilers fan and actually have a room painted in the old Oiler blue and orange, I have a few figures already, but I am looking for a regular Fuhr(away blues), a Series 5 Messier in the away blues and a heritage series 2 gretz in the old blue aswell. Been checking ebay but wouldnt mind supporting a local if possible, (pickup from inlaws in Seattle is becoming annoying). Lemme know folks what kinda prices I am looking at and if you guys have em for sale.

What, you know I am a diehard fan, and they went right back into their lazy, half-*****ed mode last night, and got killed by a GOOD hockey team. Come on man, I want to see them make the playoffs as much as anyone, but right now they just look awful. Real fans can admit that! I will still cheer for them, but can be honest in my opinions of my favorite team.

I've been a fan my whole life and I think the best thing for this team is to miss the playoffs so we can unload the dead weight and rebuild, start over with a younger core, bring in some good free agents and start from there, this group has gotten stale and I think their window to win was in 2003, when we lost to Minnesota, that was the year to win, now the management is holding on for too long, it's gotten beyond loyalty now, this team does not have the right mix and should rebuild. As a fan, I am willing to sacrifice this year if we are better for the next 3 or 4 years.

I honestly thought he should have made a bigger splash before this season and spent some of the money he gave cooke and Morrison and gone out shopping for guys like an Amonte, Gelinas or McCarty. Alas, he stuck with Burkie's team, and now we are seeing the results. Carter obviously was a nice signing but no one, not even the Canucks, could have expected what we are getting out of him!

I can only speak for myself, but I watch every game on TV, PPV or if I am lucky enough, go in person. I consider myself to be a great fan of the Canucks, as I dont jump on and off the bandwagon, and even if they do suck I will still wear my jerseys regularly and still do my best to watch every game. That being said, the fact that I criticize them for playing poorly makes me no less of a fan, it makes me a fan who expects more out of a team of well paid athletes. A team and organization that has taken up a lot of my time over the 27 years of my life. A team that I will continue to support by cheering loudly for, spending dollars on merchandise and tickets. However, being a fan, and knowing what kind of talent this team has on it, it sucks to watch them go into a tailspin like they are in right now. Its frustrating when, for the past 6 or 7 years, the teams GM, coach and players continue to say, next year is it, thats when we will win it all...blah blah blah. Get off your arses and play the kind of hockey that everyone knows you can and has seen before. Show some heart and determination. I could accept the losing if they were skating off the ice, after the 3rd period with blood trickles on their jerseys, and looking like they have just been to war. What I dont accept is when they hardly look like they have broken a sweat! Thats why I am a harsh critic. I have seen the best and worst of this team, and right now they SHOULD BE IN A PLAYOFF SPOT, not struggling for 8th place, and looking like an NHL bottom feeder.

They are never free. I would like a base signed as well . Beliveau auto would probably be 15-20 dollars. Whatever happened to Classy Dave and his Sportscard shows. They were HUGE ?? and always a good assortment of celebs at his shows.

I emailed the promoter. An autograph ticket costs $25, which includes a photo you can get signed. One item per ticket. Or else your own item is $23. They also have cards they made especially for the show which are $30. The autograph tickets are numbered.

Madchild, I think you should put on a sports collectibles show try to get 100 tables paid for, pay for advertising, arrange to bring in a legendary NHL HOF signing guest and then cross your fingers that you'll get a big enough attendance to cover your costs. Anybody want a signed Markus Naslund jersey? Its in a frame (a cheap one, I would recommend upgrading) and he signed the number 9 on the back in silver sharpie. The name and numbers were pro-stitched on by the Hockey Shop in Surrey. the jersey should stay in the frame as there is a black spot on the front by the Canucks crest, but when framed to display the autograph you cant see it. I got it signed at the Best Buy in Surrey when he did a signing at their grand opening. Have pics. PM me with offers!

NHL 12 looks pretty good by the way, cases were pretty much even. Got the Roenick chase, looks great.

Those new NHL 2 packs look like they'll be cool, I hope they won't be store exclusives.

I'm thinking about making the 10% off a standard on all reg price items for board members, SPs and other figures, kind of a collector's club thing, eh.

I've been doing the subscription thing, kinda like how stores do with comics, if a person collects sets, I get'em a set, person collects only Habs stuff, I set aside Habs stuff for them. It's worked out pretty well so far.

Both have roenick chases. $29.99 at the lansdowne one, $19.99 at the metrotown one. Friend also told me Victoria Drive London Drugs had nhl 12, all but crosby, no chases.

Try John's collectible in Richmond. I'm not sure if they have anymore but when they first hit they had 4. I think they wanted 34.99 each for it though.
