Gillis is a dork. We get Bernier from Buffalo because we were going to sign him to an offer sheet and Buffalo wanted to work out a deal. We DON'T sign him right away, or at least have a deal worked out with his agent before the trade is done. Now St Louis "pays" us back for signing Backes by signing Bernier to an offer sheet. I thought the offer sheet for Backes was an overpay, and all it did was piss another GM off. So when we got a guy that would be good for the team, we get screwed. Way to go.

No, I didn't find one but I think I came close. On a Saturday afternoon way back I stumbled upon a display of 11 figures from that series including a tiki barber chase. I often wonder what that 12th figure was and I think there was a good chance it could have been the NH Brady. Did you or any of your pals scoop up Brady from the Rupert Superstore and leave the Tiki behind?

I don't recall anybody getting a NH Brady with a Tiki chase !!!
The SS that I know had NH Brady's were North Van X3, Coquitlam, POCO,104th Surrey, Scott Road and Marine Drive X2 !!

How's it going? I haven't seen you in Langley for awhile. Like i was saying, i don't get out much anymore. Still collecting Marvel Legends? My youngest is right into Transformers & GI Joe's, so i picked him up a bunch of Target exclusives for him when I was in Seattle last weekend for baseball.

I've scaled back the toy collecting. I was a little disappointed with the new NHL figs and it seemed like a decent time to stop. I still pick up the odd player I like. The limited Brodeur and Doan are the only figs that interest me now.

Same with Marvel Legends. I collected a bunch of the Ultimate Ironman from the Hasbro Series 1, but then stopped.

I still don't know what to do with all the trade bait I've accumulated over the years. I've been collecting autographed hockey cards for the past year. I only need about a dozen more for an auto from every player with over 1000 points. Not sure what I'm going to do after I'm finished.

Wow. Good for him! I totally forgot about the superchase. I went to 2 LD's and didn't even bother looking at the back. Both had Sanders there.

I think I'm only looking for a S1 logo Belfour, S2 Salo white MOMC (the one I have is damaged).

I've got to get rid of some of my extras too. My wife and I are expecting our baby boy at the end of October. So we've been madly getting the house ready. Was out in vancouver today. DIdnt get out of class till 1030am this morning and had a 2 hour break so i first went to the oakridge zellers. 1 case of ovechkins, and a case with sittler, brodeur, kipper, koivu, and alfredson. As i was leaving i noticed a sundin figure hidden at a top shelf which i picked up (dont know why).

Seeing as that zellers got them, i went over to the next closest zellers in landsdowne, in which they also recieved a full case of ovechkins, and an assortment case containing a sittler, brodeur, kipper, koivu, and alfredson and a SHANE DOAN! 1668 of 1996.

Was really hoping for the brodeur but not bad, looks like NHL22 has hit BC!

No I didn't get to talk to him too much. He did like the card. I'm sure he's completely unaware of stuff that is out there of him. There were a couple of other huge fans waiting to get more pictures with him, so I got bumped. Plus I didn't have that much time to think of questions. I would have asked him a lot about the 72 series, who he thought was the best player in his time, most underrated etc.
