Most talk about Wiser's Is how they rip people off. What would make me wanna go there? ...Tell me this Shawb?

For NFL Variants, apart from what is on our online store we have jake plummer, shaun alexander, tim brown, priest holmes and the sp of junio seau.
As for the alegations of ripping people off, I don't follow. Someone said we have white gretzky mcfarlanes for 49.95 hidden, whereas we actually have them for 29.95 out in the store. I dont know if this seems like alot to you, but it is what we are getting as they are flying off the shelf. I've actually heard from most of our customers who come into our store that we have excellent prices. Sure there might be a few items we have that are selling for a dollar or two more than wal-mart, but it is VERY rare. Most of our newest stock is less than all of the larger retailers.

prolly just because they saw how abundant it was... might of priced by ebay at the time and now the market is flooded everyone has one. Wiser's has been good for regs, variants are sometimes a bit high but thats expected. My only problem is the customer service is to the point of irritating, trying to push new series on you :D

This goes out to everyone really... if you are looking for figures being variants or regs be more specific. Say you need "all NFL 10 variants" or "I need a NHL 9 Sakic variant and a Datsyuk variant". I think there is enough of us on here now that we can help each other out. I mean, I'm not hard pressed for cash so if I see a variant I just buy it a sell it or trade it. I haven't found a lot of variants at regular prices in my days but I've never left one on the shelf either.
Nobody asks me for anything specific yet I've had about 30 variants in the last 2 months. TheBreeze8700 keeps taking them off my hands though! Hehe... Now that I've said that... I don't have many right now cause I listed everything on Ebay. User name Plooto for those of you interested. I will do local meetings (at my convenience) to save you the shipping. If you ask me for something specific I will hold it for you and not list it on the evil Ebay. Once it is listed though, it is fair game. Cheers!

I have heard a few different stories, some say it is harder to find because initially the white #99 and 'C' error verions were plentifull and the corrections were actually the the more rare one. Looking to add to my collection and just wondering ball park what people have paid for these. Ebay sometimes isnt that reliable as people try to envoke some sort of false scarcity of a certain product. Thanks all.

The 12" Blue Gretzky was pretty plentiful. As of yesterday, there was still 2 on the shelf and they were marked down to $30, while the White Gretzky and LA Gretzky was still $40.:confused:

NHL 10 is on hold and will be for a while. We won't see it until there is some kind of deal with the CBA. As soon as the NHL starts getting some good publicity regarding resolution then we'll most likely see NHL 10 and 11 real quick.

I remember when we had a shot at Khabibulin and when I told people we'd win the cup of we got him they all said "a Habby what?". The other goalie in the league people don't give the respect he deserves is Thibault. Chicago has sucked it up BAD for a long time and he was out with a hip injury. IMO the Jovo fig sucks. The body is too big to be Jovo and the face sculpt is terrible. I just wish the would have used the Lidstrom body and maybe gave him a goatee.

It's not even a close likeness. Chelios series 8 is a good example of bringing in more of a likeness of a player but if you look at Robitaille from the same series you wouldn't even know it was him if they didn't number him and put his name on his back. I'll still be getting a Jovo.

UPDATE: Someone has asked me again about the Protech cases. I have ordered them but they were out of stock on the regular size. I requested they ship together and they were supposed to ship this week with email confirmation. I have not heard from them yet but mid-March is when I expect them. Costs will most likely be $5 for regular and $6 for the large. Shipping is far from cheap which causes the higher pricing. Obviously at these costs you'll probably only want them for variants and/or your absolute favourites. LMK if you want on the list and for how many as they are pretty much all spoken for already.

As a collector -and- seller myself, you guys have to understand something... some people will put a price (a -very- hich price) on an item and it may -never- sell. They don't care because they don't need the money and they still get to look at it everyday. If it does sell then they make a huge profit. I sell a lot of figures -very- cheap and below market value and still have guys say "you're trying to rip me off". Everything is worth what someone will pay for it. Period. If I had a Ray Lewis chase right now you'd have to give me $250+ to get it outta my hands. Would I myself pay $150 even? Pfffft... yeah right. Thats why I don't have one.

Breeze.............Wiser's got all Shaq chases; Collector's Den had all Shaq chases; Big Pete's in North Van had Shaq's and a Carmello; John's Collectibles in Richmond got a Carmello in their one case...........and finally, a couple of other shops ended up with no chase cases !!!!! These places are just a phone call away...............!
