I don't know what I'll have but I'm assuming I'm going to get the same variants everyone else in Canada has been getting. Seems like the same batches came up here this time round. Sterling............most of the TRU's in the greater Vancouver area skipped bringing in NFL 10 because NFL 8 and 9 did not sell real well for them !!! They also overdid it by bringing in way too much NHL Legends..............BTW, how are you coming along with your tri-logo NFL 5 chase set ???

I know exactly what you mean guys. TRU here in Victoria is the same way too. Employees grabbing them for their friends. It's a pure fluke if I see chases at TRU. Only chases i've ever seen at TRU are: Owen Nolan, Steve McNair, Micheal Redd and Kevin Garnett 2.

Apparently, the Coquitlam TRU put out their case of NBA 8 15 min after opening........it's part of their "game playing" to make sure collectors-scalpers don't get all the good stuff !!
They treat collectors, drug addicts, pimps and criminals all in the same boat .......lower part of society .......... though the behaviour of some collectors don't help matters much either !!! I did score a Maggette chase at a TRU during a random part of the day so employees do not necessarily take everything !!!!!! But I also know as a fact that at least three 3rd jersey Roys and all the NFL 5 chases were taken by an employee who was also an ex Spawn boardmember at the Coquitlam TRU !!!!

I saw 2 Starting Lineup 2-packs. One had Nabokov (can't remember the other player) and the other one had a Phoneix Coyotes player (I think Jeremy Roenick) not sure on the other player either. Boxes are pretty beat for both. They've been reduced from $20 down to $14 each. Also saw a Roy Williams Reg, and tons of 12" Gretzky Oilers and Kings. I saw a guy pick up a 12" Gretzky Oilers.

Just got back from Wal-Mart Victoria and they just put out 1 case of Cooperstown 2 and 1 case of NBA 8. Also there were some McFarlane's Dragons on the shelf. The case breakdown for Cooperstown 2 is as follows:

Yes Wisers has Cooperstown 2. They sold a whole set of regs (6 figs) at the auction for $60. Not sure on the reg Ruth price but the variant is $40 if they still have any

Checked Pitt Meadows SS today for Cooperstown 2 and looks like 10 figs were gone of 36. So probably a set + 4 chase. Not bad if it was... 4 chase across 3 cases? Probably... and they're only $9.98. Anywhichway, 26 regs left if anyone is looking.
Oh yeah... and I've still got lots of Protechs (both sizes) if anyone is still looking. Had 100 regs and 50 large but about 2/3 gone. No worries Ryan, I've got that large I owe you set aside. ;)

Canada post ships big boxes, biggest I've gotten is 22 x 22 x 18

All depends on where it's going too. Sometimes it's cheaper to UPS, sometimes it's not a big difference.

See if there's a "Mail Boxes Etc.." Or UPS depo near by. Get a qoute from them, then check with Canadapost.

There's always somebody somewhere. I'd look into the smaller shops though. I find most of my tresures in small shops, pharmacies, etc. I've only gotten 1 chase in 5 years from places like TRU, SS, Walmart. Mind you, I never wasted a lot of time looking either. Enjoy the hunt!

I went to Zellers when they put out a whole case and I went into pick up the Roy for a friend. They had the variant so I bought it for him. But since I didn't know they switched that on us, I got the reg instead!

Hey guys, I'm thinking about making a documentary on this great hobby for my Media Arts Movie Making Class. I think it would be a great 15 min documentary, but I do need some interesting collections and inverviews. I would need maybe one hour or so of your time when we could both get together and just chat about the hobby and what attracts you to it and keeps you collecting. For example: In the interview you could describe your first fig, your favourite figure or what you like/dislike about the hobby. This video would only be seen by my class and is like 40% of my overall mark. It would be greatly appriciated if anyone could help me out. Thanks for your time!
