I didn't waste time and gas and I knew not to expect much. My wife and I were planning to have an outting with the kids anyways. We were either going to go to the Gilroy outlets, but I told her about the show and she was down for that. I spent my time and money wisely. Went clothes shopping and had dinner in Milpitas with the fam. I've gone to most of the bay area shows, solano, sacramento, serramonte, and great mall. I don't expect much from dealers. The only good one in my opinion is Anthony. I try to buy older regs from him to clear his inventory and he usually hooks me up.(where's my PM about this weekend.):p I bought stuff from Benbbad1 too, but he wasn't a dealer at the Serramanila show, we just met up.....so yeah, I would agree with BigC Great Mall wasn't great at all SP"s wise, if that was your only reason for going to the mall...but for me, I wasn't complaining. Like I said, I did pick up a Tiki Chase and a Corpse Bride from Media Play and spent quality time with the family:D

nope just at the Denny's right off the freeway. Don't like taking the kids to D&B's...too crowded and too loud. My daughter would just end up playing games. Denny's nice and quiet and kids eat free on Tuesday's and Saturday's. haha!!!

It was only for today.
It was a part of the "Red Fog" day.
The throwbacks unis were supposed to be from 1989.
Also, they have had the dark red unis for about 10 years now.

Hey I have not put together a list of what I am taking with me for Sunrise Mall yet, I have been a 1 man show at the store for the past 10 days or so, and we've been busy. I will get you a list.

Just to note on Alex Smith NFL 11, its not a common regular, it has always been said that the figure was going to have simalar production to Jonathan Ogden, which was hit or miss, but Ogdens were left at some places because he's Ogden. Now as I have said before be patient with the Smith figure, there are going to be many waves of NFL 11, just like NFL 8 & NFL 6, they were the first sets of the new NFL years when they were released and there was a ton made, including 6 waves of NFL 6, plus leftovers that were made and shipped to certain McFarlane Directs that had the Corrected Holmes chase, and NFL 8 well that set is a joke... by the way I still have sealed cases availible if interested! LOL.
So just wait and see, he will drop, and by drop meaning $25-$30 secondary market (In our area), not $50-$60 that they are now.

Guys: I know some of you already know, but Kids Dream in South San Jose moved a few doors down to a space twice the size. Chris will have his grand opening this weekend with Sports Picks a plenty. Older NHL, MLB and NBA are 20-50% off. including some varients. Shop looks great and his wall of SPs is bigger and better. Down in San Antonio, Texas for the next couple of days! Hit a bunch of stores today and found absolutely nada! More NFL 11 out in NorCal and I am here?!! Arghhh!!!! Well, at least Amazon just shipped a Chase Horn tonight! Trade?

Saw several boardies post that the DS2Pack hit down here in Texas. If I hit the jackpot, will have to buy a huge, cheap suitcase so I can haul em back to trade with ya'll. BTW, there are tons of Raiders Moss on the pegs here!

Bump for NH Brady's showing up at Wally World... had a Star Wars customer that hits a few stores come in today, he picked up 3 NH Brady's :eek: at Wal Mart the past couple of days, and knowing I still needed one without eyeblack for myself brought me one today while the other 2 were going on eBay... then when I offered him over 15 times what he paid for it he told me it was not enough...:mad: I would think thats a great turn for a figure that up until last week I told him to keep his eyes opened for he would not have picked up.
Sorry just wanted to vent... NFL 12 is good, but nothing but Boldin & McNabb chase from our cases thus far with more to be opened by customers in the comming days.

No the guy is a white guy who is a cop, he is/was one of my customers. He's not a show guy or anything, just someone that disapointed me today. I usually would not have cared but I sold him a Factory Sealed case of 12 Lava Vaders at $200 less than eBay price a few weeks ago just because he wanted it...

No I am not going to do the show, I might go though... I just cannot bring myself to do a 1 day show that charges $5-$15 to get into the show, unless its Tri-Starr.

I would be happy to be able to get away and go though, but the store has been so busy lately and with Christmas comming will get worse I may never get a day away...Especially on a Satuday.

Update to my fellow NorCals. I'll check the "Tuesday Mornings" stores around me. Went to BigLots to see if they had SPs, none. :( Some one on the boards sited NFL1-2 3" at BigLots for $2. Have only seen NFL11 at TRU, KB, and Wallys. None at Target yet, only NBA Legends and MLB13. Hope to see some of you guys at the SJ Toy Show Dec. 3. Happy hunting b4 T-Day. :D

Hey all, just want to thank Matt (groommat) for the heads up on Hotgear in Livermore. Hildo set me up with openers Favre LT & Brees. Favre is very cool looking and so is LT. The Brees is a horrid fig but I had to get it just to see if I like the way it looks with LT. Better watch the paint and decal application on these. Its pretty rough on Brees and LT.

Also saw the chase Favre, McNabb, Boldin figs. The black jersey looks good, the towel looks silly, and the Boldin scuplt is very nice. The reg Harrison looks goofy, maybe it looks better out of the package.

May go back for an Arrington and Mawae next week! That Mawae looks like a good one to match up with the Sapp! :D

I think it will look better once it's out. If you look at the arms they look turned in order for the fig to fit in the bubble. It looks like they need to be moved to get the correct pose once it's out. I bought an opener Harrison from Hildo yesterday but have yet to open it up. I'll let you know how it looks when I do.

My TM searches netted a white Mahovolich chase for $4.99 and 3 NFL 2-packs: McNab-Strahan, the Mannings and Portis-Lewis...Also saw some Yao-Shaqs and left them; saw hardly any other single packs. Thanks for the heads up Anthony! ;)

Hey guys, just wanted to throw out a friendly reminder about the Nor-Cal board. To give you a quick update, in case some of you may not have visited in a while. I am now the admin, Kensjca, as well as Avsbruins65 have been making appearences. So there is still some sign of life. My hope is just to try and get the board back to how it was. A nice regional & former nor-cal'r board. Where there was a lot of trading between everyone, lot of info, they even did get together(I never made it to one, but wanted to, but was going through some stuff in my life, and dealing w/ issues, i digress), but the reports from the get together were awesome, bbq's, trades, wagering figures, watchin sports, bs'in, as well as kid friendly!!!

So, I am not asking for you to go there everyday, but let's just see what we can make of it. As alway, and Nor-Cal(that includes former, as once a Nor-Cal, always a Nor-Cal) folks are welcome to join. I am always open to suggestion. I will be cleaning it up, and making some changes over the next couple of weeks. So I hope to see you guys there.

I also wanna give a thank you to Honolulu Blue for hooking me up with his extra Varitek/Ump figure (When it arrives), like for Bonds WS I did not get chosen...

Out of last year 2 pack. That is the only one I saw, never seen Manning, or McNabb\Strahan at all. Of course, I too did not buy, as the box was momc. Oh well!!!

I got my Rice/ Sanders 2 pack for eBay a couple of nights ago. The paint job on the Rice is pretty sloppy and the face mask on Sanders looks a little small. I'm not as excited about this 2 pack as I was when it was first announced.

Bargain shopping update: Found a very clean Nolan 12 inch at Tuesday Morning on Monday night :confused: for $9.99. They apparently just keep putting toys out almost daily, so you just have to keep looking for stuff every few days. Tonight hit Big Lots on Camden, SJ and found 4 unopened cases of 3 inch NFL 2-packs. There's still about 3 cases left if anyone wants them for $1.99 each. A case for $24.00 ain't bad.;) Chased Vancouver Canuck autos today...got Linden and Bertuzzi on their figures. Gretzky and Fuhr coming on Saturday :D !

Hype will die, but either way $400 is'nt going to change for a while. But its funny to read all of the different stories, but there is likely none until January, and even then they will still go over retail for a bit I would think. It was still crazy picking up mine this morning that I put a deposit on and seeing the clowns who camped out for 2+ days to try and get one instead of putting out $50 in July :rolleyes: , at least at TRU, a local Gamestop pre-sold 50 even though Microsoft told them to sell no more than 10 units, out of 50 pre-ordered they got 3 :eek: the others will not arrive until first week of January...
