can anyone give me the address for curious things? i havent been there yet. and was meanin to check it out.

LOL. Just got back from there. Not sure the exact addy, but he's on Broadway in Redwood City. exit whipple from 101 and go straight. Turn right on Jefferson. Turn left on Broadway and it will be 2 blocks up on the right side. He's open at noon or 1 till 5 mon - sat. He's closed during most weekends when there are big shows and will be closed this wednesday. So call first to make sure he's open before you make the trip. 1-650-363-9384

It's gonna be tough, but with Norv calling such crappy plays, and Collins executing them so porely, it's not like we're Superbowl contenders this year, as it is. I think it will be interesting to see how the rest of the unit plays. Who's in for him, and how well they do. I was much more upset about losing half our secondary, but they seem to be stepping up pretty well. Sapp and big Teddy can't play forever. I think Jasper and the others we rotate in there will do fine.

OT: I would love to see Walter get in there and see what he can do with the first team O and against first team D's.

It just looks like they need to get use to each other. They will be good if they can keep the team together a couple of years. Any chance they will win the Reggie Bush sweepstakes? That would be scarey for my Chargers....

Around here you have to spend major time at a store or have major connections to get any kinda variants/chases that are worth anything. Would like to have the towel Farve, but instead I only got the regular.

I know what you mean. I live only a few blocks from the SF TRU yet I rarely check there because of all the collectors and scalpers around. They get a lot of shipments but I only go when I want to pick up a regular.

Plus they charge an extra dollar there too. :mad:

I opened up all of them and I'm having a tea party with them.
I gave one to my five-year-old to play with and another one to the dog as a chew toy.
I took another one and removed his head and put it on a Joey Harrington and painted the hair black.
I left one outside in the rain and another one as a bath toy.
Don't cry about Tom Brady, I'm giving him the five layers of protection he needs.:D

I don't like Dunleavy. I think his game is too passive and timid. I think his contract will be such a cap killer that the W's won't be able to sign Pietrus next offseason.

BUT Dunleavy has played solid in the last three games though, so hopefully, for the Warriors sake, he proves me wrong while Pietrus is out.

I find it ironic that on the day that I criticize Dunleavy's game and Baron's three point shooting, BOTH play well against the Kings.

Got the chance to check out TRU in Soquel today. They had:

NFL 12: 1 Farve, 1 Arrington, 1 Brees no stripes, 1 Mawae, 3 Dillons, and 5 McNabb. No chases

12" NFL: 1 Bettis, 4 Brady, 2 TO, 4 LT. The Bettis had a cut in the plastic, but all the rest were in pretty good shape.

I agree with BigC, best local show I've been to as well. Indeed, $8 parking is steep for a toy show. Alternatively, drive to the next driveway where the school (?) will charge less or park (limited) on South 7th or 10th Streets & walk in. Obviously earlybird price is the premium one would pay for the rare/hot/bargain items, provided the BigC doesn't beat us to it. :D

For Humdinger, park down on Monterey Highway and walk in...Lord knows the admission is steep enough as it is, which is why I stay away. I hear there will be several no-helmet Bradys there...Alex in Redwood City got 8 from his cases, and some other guy got a bunch. This could mean regs from series 11 will go cheap.

Sharks are looking like a totally different club...now they have one of only 3 superstars in the Western Conference. Thornton repaint in series 12 lets hope!

Nothing new at TRU Blossom Hill...Winchester has residue of some stuff, but no 12 inch except Elway. Mike, sounds like Soquel is getting lots of product. They never used to get much new.

Still no Rice/Sanders 2-packs?

Nothing new spotted at Tuesday Mornings for over a week.

Not a lot of people attended, but there were some great deals there, at least for NonSP's. I saw a few 20 - 40 dollar figures go for $5-7. Some of them went to me. :D

Heard that TRU Blossom Hill had 1 case (2 boxes) or Rice/Deion yesterday morning. They also had a case of NFL 12; I got the Mawae reg last night. Also picked up 2 Helton/Sosa packs for 98 cents...I see a custom Rickey Henderson in my future :D . Kids Dream in South San Jose got 2 cases each of NHL and NBA tonight. North Stars Modano repaint was in both NHL cases; Wade Red variant in the NBA cases. Sooooo, after setting aside a full set from each sport for reg customers, Chris has 3 Thorntons for sale, 2 Aebis, and one each of all other NHL. (except Nash...I bought the other one-only one Nash to a case surprisingly) Only one J Rich to a case, and both were reg Blue jersey. No Okafores, 2 Kobes and 3 Wades (including the variants) in the NBA cases. All pieces look very clean, very little damage, NHL goalies were packaged well. Go get em! ;)

Anyone know why, when I did a price check on a sosa/helton 2-pack at the Emeryville TRU, it came up $12.99 still??? I wanted one to crack open for $.98. Anyone know any other TRU's that have them still for $.98??? I only need 1 to open.

I guess all TRU stores have their own clearance prices when it comes to the sosa/helton 2 pack. Foster City TRU has them for $12.99 and Redwood City TRU has them for $3.99. They may eventually mark them down to $.98, I'll scan them again next week.

Oh yeah, the arcade next to the ice rink. I actually grew up in South City, but moved to FC, closer to work. KayBee Toys (remember when they used to spell it like that) in Fashion Island was 1 of my stops on my toy runs.:D

Nah, I collect and open NBA figures. I went last night and picked up an Amare. There were 10 total figures on the pegs - all figures except Kobe, Jrich and Okafor. I went back this morning and they must have opened another case, because I saw alot more figures and several Kobes on the pegs. So I ended up getting a Kobe and Dirk. Sadly, I probably just missed out on a JRich.

The Wade figure is HORRENDOUS. The paint job is nasty and the face is terrible. I'll be waiting to pick up a Wade from the later shipments.

If they have identical records, then the tie goes to the Niners because they have the weaker schedule. (Texans played Indy twice).

49ers will not Draft Reggie Bush if they have the # overall pick, there is no way they can afford to put $110 Million into Smith & Bush for the next 5 years, not unless they are putting nothing but league minimum contract players on the field with them. GM was on 680 2-3 weeks ago saying the same thing.
If they get the pick, it will be traded away. But as far as strength of schedule goes Houston would not have a tougher strength based on having Indy in the division, as Seattle has the same record in the 49ers division.
