Just a note on TRU closings, I was in Fairfield on Friday, that is one of the many closing stores. They have yanked all of the "Green Tag Clearance" and are now selling everything from 10%-30% off of the regular price, so all the green tag SP's that were $3 are now $9 that makes alot of sense.... Anyone else hit any of the bay stores that are in Closing mode yet and see anything?

I'd say it's been the best Nor Cal Mall show every year. A lot tables selling SP's. Some a little too high priced, but there are some deals. Way better than Sunrise Mall shows anyday...except for Capital Sports' Table!!!;)

Great Mall show is a turd, its put on by "The Event Productions" they put on bad shows, they are bad promoters, and at the end of 2004 they were asked not to return to promote at ALL of the malls they put on shows at.

Serramonte is the best show for SPs I agree, prices are good from most everyone but Warren.

Oh yeah! Glad that a boardie got it. :D Yup, Pro Star Sports in Great Mall across from the food court. They have lots of chase SPs but kinda $$$. Last month/year I saw two White Tikis, one with blue socks and the other with red socks. ;)

Got the case and man it has a big slash on the bottom of the case. He also just wraped the case with cardboard no box.:mad: Lots of issues with this case. I might file a claim.

2. Mike, I'll take you up on that offer...you don't even need to give me the Tix :) I already got tickets for the 4/5 game vs. Yank Dogs. Why in the world is the Street Bobble giveaway on Easter? :confused: A person would have to give up Church and family to get in line in time...not willing to do that. Can't you use some of your USC clout and get the schedule changed? ;) BTW, I have a few autographed hockey pieces you might be interested in..such as Giguere. LMK.

Hey all, Great Mall show this weekend will be like the last show. Not much SPs, so if you're coming from afar, I recommend to save your gas if you're only interested in SPs. Only Warren (in front of the old Media Replay) and the Wheaties guy (near KB Toys) had SPs today.

I'll be at the WonderCon show tomorrow. Last year they had few SPs there, so if you're only into SPs I recommend not going unless you collect comic/anime related stuff. If anyone is going to WonderCon, look for me in the Anime room taking breaks throughout the day. :D

Found 2 cases of Team Canada at Hayward TRU. Snagged Iginla chase. Only Lecavelier missing from assortments. Mike...autos I have gotten this year at the hotel on SPs include: Selanne, Giguiere, Iginla, Gaborik, Modano, Bertuzzi, Linden, Khabby and Lucky Luc. Got the extra Iginla for Chris. Detriot comes on the 28th with lots of possibiliites, but the autos will be tough to come by.

Well, had a great day today. Great weather for a road trip. Drove to Sacto with the tunes on and the sun roof down and confirmed a new $10,000.00 contract with a client. Went by TRU and found a white Orr and Tony Espo on the pegs. Then drove over to Anthony's shop and traded for the Modano Northstars repaint I've been searching for. For those of you who haven't been to A & B Cards...check it out! Nice display of SPs and fair prices = a winning combination. Since I'll be frequenting Sacto for a while because of this new case, I'll be stopping in again. It was nice to meet Bob...I'll have to get that red Gretz you've got when I see you at Serramonte. ;) Yep...its all good today...

Went Sunday, spent $1,300 having Pro-Bowl items authenticated by PSA/DNA.

Spent $3 in the actual show on 3 packs of Sponge Bob cards for my son.

and got Bush,Leinardt,McClain,LT & Marcus auto's, then drove home in the pouring rain because I waited for Leinardt.

Looked like more dealers than last show at Cow Palace, but still not a great SP show, saw Warren's stuff and Charlie Manson's that about pretty much it. \

I was at the show. I wasn't expecting much in the way of SPs and so I was not disappointed. The selection is always better at their Labor Day show for some reason.

Got Marcus Allen on a 1981 SI I had been saving, then Bush and Leinart on my USC helmet. Bush was nice and so was his signature. I got his sig on a game issue jersey a few weeks ago in LA and was impressed with it as well. Leinart was over 2 hours late and his signature was a little less than desirable- it was like he scribbled on my helmet. I saw some other people's sigs and they turned out nice though. I guess it was just luck of the draw; I may take it off and try again.

I jumped the gun on NBA 10 last week, my rep said I would be able to pick it up Thursday, well today is the following Thursday and they are still holding everyones cases hostage, except for those going to TRU from what I hear.
Maybe tomorrow, I would like to have them for the show.......!

All in all, not a bad Serramonte show yesterday. Sold enough to make it worthwhile, and picked up a few things, including a Liberty Gretz Legends 3. Went to the San Rafael TRU (apparently the only one that's still open around here) and found unopened cases of MLB 14, Coop 3, MLB 3", Yankees 3 pack, and Red Sox 3 pack.

I was only looking for the Cubs, so I was able to get my 2 Aramis Ramirez and the 3" Wood. I left a Jeff Kent Giants there (uh, because I hate him) - and on the way home realized that I could have picked it up to trade or burn. :) Sorry guys - don't hate! Celebrate! There was nothing in the Coop case and I already have a set coming so I didn't pick any up. Didn't touch the 3 packs. There was also a case with Military boxed sets in it, and I have no idea if it was a new one or not.

Hayward TRU had Coop 3 and MLB 14 yesterday. Several chases were gone by the time I got there, around 12:00 noon. They had all the regs. There was one odd looking Jackie Robinson, but I didnt' pick it up. I came to log on here, and realized it was the sepia toned Jackie Robinson. I went back to TRU at 7 pm, but it was gone. Whoops...

Oh yeah, and they had two Mantle shiny helmet chases, but the packages on both were crushed.

Still waiting for NBA 10 here....

Coops 3 at TRU Blossom Hill this morn. Only 10 figs left with no chase when I got there...picked up regular Mick. Went to Winchester TRU about 7:00 p.m. No Coops...but at least 5 cases of MLB 14. No chases left. Unbelievable why one Bay Area store would open up so many cases of this series. There is no absolutely NO room on the pegs for anything else. Probably 20 A-Rods, 10 Dodgers Kent, Varitek, Abreu and Ramirez. Mulder looks to be the short pack fig. Yikes! Lots of peg warmers are in that store's future! Both stores also had at least 3 each of the Yanks and Bosox 3-packs. And both had MLB 3 inch. Go get em! (if you want em).

I got into 9 total cases this morning at a TRU that shall remain nameless in the Suckramento area.

5 Cases of MLB 14 = 1 Giants Jeff Kent, 0 other chases :(
4 Cases of Cooperstown 3 = 0 chases at all :mad:

Also 2 cases of Yankees & Redsox 3 packs, I actually like the Redsox one, they look cool.

But I did end up spending about $300 on regulars since I will not be getting my Cooperstown 3 until next Wednesday, and those cases are guaranteed to be loaded with chase figures ;) just for those that pre-ordered them! :D

Oh yeah and I got into a case of new Hot Wheels Classics (Left them all including VW Trucks x3) and a case of WWF Classic Superstars 9. The Godfather figure is a total disapointment, Papa Shongo was cool & Kamala looks like he is wearing a mini skirt.

The "Foster City" TRU, is actually the SAN MATEO TRU. I went there Saturday. I forgot all about ML 14, but they had all the regular Coop 3 there. No chases. I picked up the BoSox 3 pack. I got the Robinson chase in a trade.
