I like it. The team can use more agressive, creative scorers. But how is it going to work? McGrady wants the ball, James wants the ball, Yao wants the ball, now Francis. Is Alston now expendable? If he leaves are we now back to the Francis/Mobley days when we didn't have a true point? I gotta say though, I'm psyched with how much talent the team has added in the off season. Now about that gaping hole at the 4...

Found some MLB 19 @ Wal-mart in Deerbrook. They had 11 figs, only the chase was gone. I picked up the only P. Fielder, but there was still at least one of each fig when I left.

Mark, do you live in the Humble area? Lagoldenboy and I are the only ones that I know of and both of us have kinda given up the hunt around here. Together I think we've totalled zero on the chase/surprise fig finds. I did find a Hardwood Classic Francis at TRU but he was left there for obvious reasons so I don't really count him.

Trust me, you need those;) . I actually hate to sell them because the Maravich and Wilt can go for a pretty decent price just by themselves. I haven't seen a Hawks Maravich on ebay in forever so who knows what they go for. I just don't have the room and would rather give somebody in Houston a shot before I go to ebay.

I actually got those for pretty cheap because the boxes had a few dings in them. I don't mind because it's hard to keep 12" boxes in great shape, especially the Cal Ripken box. The only other ones I'll have trouble with are 12" White Favre, Jeter, Team Canada Gretzky (White and Red) and the impossible CC White Avs Roy:eek: (the last figure that I'll try to get).

I got my Pujols in today form TRU. I didnt get any superchase, but I did get in 3 grey chase figs. They are up for trade for whoever is interested. They are not mint, but I wouldnt consider them openers.

Spotted two cases of MLB 19 at the TRU on Whestimer. Pujols chase with a squishy bubble but I left it and a Pedro chase which I picked up. The inserts and stickers were pretty off and looked bad on most figures. I wanted the Kazmir but a bad sticker kept me away but I'm sure I will find another one of him.

Not rally a Pedro fan but this is a rpetty nice figure I might keep him, I haven't decided yet......

If you like asian food hit up Kim Son. Good food at a decent price. They've been around ever since I was a kid. It's a family owned business but they've grown considerably and no, they're not a chain :D

I went to TRU(Willowbrook) this evening before closing and see NFL Legends reg BarrySanders on a peg. I could tell it was either hidden for some time, or "lost" somewhere in the stockroom because it was very dusty and kinda sticky. I'm not sure what the chase figures are, but if Staubach has one, I need that one. I will trade whatever chase I get in my case (assuming it's not Staubach and assuming I get one) plus a regular figure that I get an extra of for the Staubach chase.

My wife and I went to the 'stros game today to see Bagwell's number retired.

Ausmus, Bidge, et al had nice things to say about Bags, naturally.

Drayton had to have a commercial tie-in with the event, so Continental Airlines gave Bags two round trip first class tix to a dream golf vacation all up and down Scotland, which sounds awesome, of course.

All the previous Astro retirees were there to witness Bagwell's passing, if you will.

My wife and I laughed as Purpurra got boooooed upon the mere mention of his name.

There was a nice video tribute at the conclusion of the ceremony, as well.


In all seriousnesss, though. I estimate a minimum of 5,000 people exiting Minute Maid Park upon completion of the ceremony. I know that the 'stros are bad this year, but damn!

It only makes sense to stay...you bought your tickets, drove up from wherever, paid for parking, got a Bagwell jersey pin...why not stay for the game?

Granted, it was a yawner for almost the duration, but we actually won 2 games this week:eek:

I think the universioty of Texas is opening up a new co-op store in houston this weekend.

(a fund raiser of sorts for UT) the cost is $30.00

He will be at the co-op from 1-2 on Saturday signing for free.

Picked up 2 Campbells today at the Sugar Land WM - looks like they got a full case in since there were about 8 left and no other Legends. I hope they do the same for NFL 15 and VY. Someone at TMP should know that he's got a huge TX following and distribute accordingly even though Romo plays in a TX city.
