Well kids, today was it. I just got back from removing the last things from my shop at the Market Place. After talking it over with my wife she suggested I just close shop since I'm usually only there once a week and just keep the online business going. I'd have to agree with her because lately I haven't even been able to be there during the weekend at all and it was just a waste of money to pay for something that I'm not even using. Other than that though the online store is where I do most of my sales anyways.
So if any of you need anything just give me a ring or drop me an email. Other that that MB 10 is about to hit so if you want a case plmk asap! The price is $110 if you're in Houston or the surrounding suburbs. Also if want to get on the list for the Series 10 Petitte or Clemens I need to know now! I've already sold 3/4 of my figures so the longer you wait the slimmer the odds get on scoring one. They're both $12 plus tax :spawnorb:

Went to GS in The Woodlands today and brought back a Gray "Poo-holes", reg Pettitte, reg Garrett Anderson, and Rangers Palmeiro. I left a BoSox Schilling, Mulder, 2 Jeters, and a Delgado, and reg "Poo-holes."

TRU in the Woodlands had some MLB 10 but I only saw a reg Palmeiro and Delgado, in addition to 1 Jeter/Garciaparra 2 pack.

I found NFL 9 at TRU on FM 1960 West this afternoon - they had at least two cases worth...no chases, though. Somebody got to them already. Plenty of Urlacher, Holmes, Culpepper. A few Chad Johnson, Bell, and Plummer. TRU also had 2 12" Urlacher and 3 12" Randy Moss - the third Moss was stuck on the RC car aisle.

I was at both those TRU's looking on Friday last week, looks like I was too early. Timing is the name of the game though. Have seen plently of 12" Moss, and McNabb only at Target at Memorial City Mall. Haven't seen any other 12" Series 2 anywhere yet. Knowing that NFL 9 was supposedly hitting the GameStops today, I kept my eyes out for the UPS truck at the strip center across the street from my workplace where the GS is....I have gone to this particular store before on "truck days", only to find a couple of guys who apparently do Sportspicks for a living hanging out waiting.....so. it was lunchtime, and the truck was gone, so I go over expecting there not to be any chase left. As soon as I walk in, the dude working there greeted me and announced that "it just came in" followed by "and no ones bought any yet".....so, I pick up the Urlacher all blue and, yes, what I was looking for, a White Culpepper. ;) Picked up the reg Pepper as well, that is one sweet azz sculpt!

Case breakdown:
Additional figs were : 2 Plummer, 2 Holmes, 2 reg Urlachers, 2 Johnson, 1 Bell. No Ogden.
2 other GS I went to after work had no Ogdens either. (And of course it was 6 pm, so no chase) Picked up an Ogden at TRU along with the 12" Urlacher and the rest of the NFL 9 set....expensive day today!

Also got a orange name plate w/white lettering Johnson for another board member.The case had an Ogden in it as well but I passed on it. That's the way it's always been. I don't know where people got the idea that they could cherry-pick reserved cases. A buddy of mine, actually two are GS Managers and they told me that when they first started doing this.
If you reserve a case at GS you must buy the entire case, no cherrry-picking. Also they can't be returned. Kinda sucks but I know some people that just took the ones they didn't want to WM and got credit for them.

Hey everyone. I've just recently moved to Houston from Halifax, NS. I've been slowly adding to my SP collection since I've arrived, but I haven't found very many good places to find them. I frequent TRU on OST and Target on S Main. Are there any decent Wal-Mart's around? The 5 or 6 I've been to only have old baseball and hockey. At this point I have little interest in the chase figures, I just want to keep up with my collection of the 'regulars'. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone. I've just recently moved to Houston from Halifax, NS. I've been slowly adding to my SP collection since I've arrived, but I haven't found very many good places to find them. I frequent TRU on OST and Target on S Main. Are there any decent Wal-Mart's around? The 5 or 6 I've been to only have old baseball and hockey. At this point I have little interest in the chase figures, I just want to keep up with my collection of the 'regulars'. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Holy Toledo! I was fortunate enough to be at the game last night and, based solely on the game of baseball and not the overall significance of game 5 of the NLCS, that was the absolute best, hands down, baseball game I have ever been to.

It was gutwrenching throughout...Backe and Williams were going toe-to-toe, pitch-for-pitch, and whatever we hit the Cards would catch it, and vice versa.

It's official: Beltran is SUPERMAN! First the handling of Tal's hill with aplomb (and going up the hill backwards, to boot) and the soon to be famous flying leap in the top of the 7th to rob Edgar Diarrhea of what would have at least been a double if Beltran would have missed.

There is no momentum for St. Louis...it's all Houston now, baby! I think we should start Munro tomorrow and if we win, great, if we don't, great. It'll be our throw-away game if we lose. Clemens in game 7 for the clincher. I wish the Red Sux would hurry up and realize they are not going to sweep the Yankers at Yanker Stadium and just roll over and die.

Oh, and America: Thanks for NOT WATCHING THE GREATEST BASEBALL GAME IN THE PAST DECADE last night. We appreciate it.
