Hmm, NFL 10 hasn't hit on the SW side yet so I'm guessing it'll be here Monday. I did go to SWM last night though and come across a fresh case of NFL 9....snagged the Johnson(orange nameplate), Ogden and white Holmes.

Also a heads-up for you guys, buy the WIlliams when you see them. My distributor told me they're going to be very short-printed, even more-so for the variant. He hasn't steered me wrong yet so I'll take his word on this info to ;)

Had another good day today guys:D Scored a white Gretzky and a Vinatieri today out in Pearland. Then on the way back home stopped at another GS in Mo City and found a Raiders Sapp, white LT, reg Ricky, white Roy Williams and another white Gretzky. To top it off I completed two trades today as well, got a McNabb/Strahan 2-pack in one(Thanks Steve;) ) and a reg Vinatieri, Ogden, Ricky and white Roy in the other.

I was at the TRU on Fairmont last night 8:30...& they had a new case of series 10. I bought 2 Williams (both White), 2 Randy Moss (1 variant) 1 Ladanian, & 1 Trent green

I left...ricky williams, Ladanian, Vinatari, Delhomme, 2 TO's (none were variants)

I was told by management that the Clear Lake store got 4 cases yesterday...I don't know if any has been put out yet? I am headed there at lunch time...

Okay, so I get off work late today and check the Super Target across the street for NBA 7 and/or the KG-Wallace 2-packs....nada. I then drive down to the Swee****er TRU and notice that a new case of NHL Legends and another case of NFL 10 were put out overnight and of course it's all been ran-sacked, no biggie. Wow! It looks like we've got a few new Houston members...welcome to all of you :D What do you all collect and what are you all looking for?

Saw some NBA 7 and 4 KG/Wallace 2-packs at the Swee****er TRU today. There were 2 afro and 2 cornrow versions. I placed one of each on hold and will be picking them up tomorrow. I did get the Yao today though. That is one HUGE figure! I really like the scale they did these figs in compared to the other series of NBA.

They also had a new case of NFL 10 put out but no chase of course. There was a white Williams hanging so I did take that and before leaving I did check the usual spots where the stockers stash stuff and found more NFL chase figs. I walked out with these today...

Question: What do you all think of having a swap meet one of these days? We had one of these waaaaay back in the day and it worked out pretty good. There were some pretty high dollars figs moved that day. I think of all the guys here with the exception of myself only Dane(Vikesguy) and NME(Eddie) were present. We had it at Two Rows in the Village and it was a good time for all. Not only were the figs moved but it was good to put some faces to the names here. Any thoughts will be welcomed :)

The figure is so huge and they give you a microscopic piece of hard rubber to use as a peg...what was TMP thinking! At least make it metal! So now I have him propped up again my speaker and it just looks goofy like that. If any of you have a remedy to this I'm all ears.

The TRU in Humble had a few of Ben Wallace singles with cornrows and some of the cornrowed 2 packs. I bought one of the singles yesterday so there may be a couple of them left.

What is up fellas? I have been so busy here lately. I haven't been out on the hunt in forever, and I can't remember the last time I bought a figure. I'm mainly doing just Cubs and Cowboys now. I guess I'll have to get out and hunt that Roy Williams figure down now, eh? Anyway, if you guys still have my e-mail, shoot me one, or post a line here. We'll have to catch up. I am moving to Arlington at the end of this month, so big changes indeed. I have been out of town almost every weekend the past year with various sorts of commitments. I don't know where everybody is...I guess they're like me and sick on absolutely NO ONE (not on this thread, but the entire board) even having remote interest in my figs I have to trade or sell...I really need to sell EVERYTHING right now because my cat, bless her heart, broke one of her side ligaments in her knee (it moves like Jell-O now, very unsettling) and requires a $1500 surgery to repair it...If this cat was 15 years old or something I'd just let her be, but Roxy (my cat) is only 4 years old. She's very active. Now she takes 3 or 4 steps and lays down for minutes (sometimes hours) at a time.

Sorry, just my rant. I don't want to go to ebay to sell my stuff because the fees for posting and final value will take away much needed cash. My fiancee and I basically are not going to have Christmas to pay for the cat. I know, "it's just a cat, " but Roxy is the sweetest, most loving cat, not to mention my first pet ever. So sentimental value kicks into overdrive. Happy Holidays!

I'm going to stop hunting figs cold turkey. Right now.

My cat needs that $1500 ligament repair operation (her walking is getting worse -see my previous post) and I have debt building up that I need to beat back down.

Thanks for the kind words - yes, I saw 2 mcnairs at Champs...he said those were the only ones they had...corporate must break up the cases and divy them between stores. I didn't even ask how much they cost, for fear of bursting out loud laughing. :)

So I just found out that GS received their NHL 9 this past Monday/Tuesday and I totally forgot about it. Also I work retail so early days and late nights have been the norm for me lately so I really haven't had the energy to go out and get what I need for the collection. As everyone here knows I'm pretty much the resident NHL collector so I'm putting out a "help needed" to all of you local guys. If any of you see any NHL chase pieces can you please pick it up for me and I'll work out a trade with you or buy it for cost if I have to. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Got a call from the surgeon last night...Roxy is doing fine! She is 'doped up on narcotics' and was 'semi-awake. She had a torn lateral colateral ligament (LCL) and a 'slightly ruptured' anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). According to the doc I'll need to keep her confined (in a cage/crate) for the rest of the year...I can only let her oot to eat and piddle. But, as 2005 rolls around she should be back to normal for the most part. I can pick her up this afternoon, which I plan to do....I'll give you a post-op pic pf her. Again, thank yoiu for your interest and support of Roxy's cause. God bless and happy holidays!

Well as chance would have it I decided to stop by a new GS by my house today on the way home this evening. Brand new case of NBA 7 sitting there with 3 figs already missing..damn! No, but wait..I still decided to go through because I saw the red Yao(left it b/c it had a big dent on the corner) was still there. Walked out with a chase Wallace(afro), Williams and corn-rows Wallace(blue). Only need a chase Lebron, KG and Redd now. Anyone have any of these they want to part with?

I also came across a fresh case of NHL 9 at the Galleria today but as luck would have it all 12 figures still there and not one of them a chase...***?! :mad:

I am out of town starting on Friday morning thru Sunday night for Christmas. I am then in Houston until Dec. 29th. After that, I will be living in Burleson, TX, just outside of Ft. Worth.

So I go into work yesterday around 1:30 and as I'm walking up to my store(Sharper Image) I see a freshly cleaned black Cadillac Escalade ESV with 24in wheels sitting in the front. I immediately think to myself that has to belong to an athlete of some sort. Where I live is in a pretty ritzy suburb of Houston and alot of the Houston athletes live out here was why I thought that...no stereotyping here...haha.

Anyways, I go in and immediately start looking around. I didn't have to look far because the first place I checked, by the car display, was David Carr and his pregeant wife. That boy has put on some serious size since last time I saw him. Anyways with the exception of one other salesman no one even knew who he was...lol! The store I work in is brand new so this was the first time he had been there....Antwain Peek was there last week.

It was pretty cool seeing him there but the best part of the whole thing was that I was keeping 2 Carr SP's in my locker, talk about luck!...and just think, I was going to take them home the other day because they were taking up alot of my locker space. So anyways, I had the stock guy go over and congratulate him on his win on Sunday and ask him if it was alright to get his auto. He said no problem and I ended up getting both SP's signed. I gave one to the stock guy since he's the one that asked and have the other one here. Talk about being down to earth and nice. This is the second time I've run into him and he's been a class act both times. Way to be David! :D All in all I thought that was a pretty cool way to start my work day and thought you all would like the story

Makes me wonder if I should bring more of my Carr SP's to work now...lol!

AWESOME, Texas33! Which Sharper Image do you work in? I ran into Stevie Francis and Cuttino Mobley in Chicago on Super Bowl Weekend 2003 and didn't have a stitch of anything (pen, paper, you name it) on me to get a sig - the only reason I ran into them was because I had on a Texans sweatshirt (Stevie yelled, "Texans? That say Texans on it?!") I went over and shook their hands and Cuttino said "Wazzup?". They must have been in town to play Da Bulls!

I work in the Sugar Land location Tim. It's a brand new store, 12/23 will be our 3 month mark. Not alot of people know we're there yet but word is getting out. As soon as it does I'm sure we'll be seeing more athletes ;) Yea, it was cool to see David in there just browsing around. Not only did he put on some size but you don't realize how tall he really is unless you're standing right next to him.

Decided to stop by the TRU today after the gym to see if the new Heritage 2-packs were in yet. I didn't find any 2-packs but they did get in NHL 9, about 2 cases worth. All the chase/Retros were already gone. No big deal though because I did find a white James from series 7 NBA. I only need the Redd and Garnett now and I'll be done with NBA. Anyone have these pieces?

I also noticed there were about 5 or so Lebron 1 hanging there as well. The Series 7 chase was hanging there with them so I guess it was just overlooked because it was white like the others...lucky me :)
