Boogie

I graduated from Douglas Byrd in Fayetteville, but I won't tell you the year <cough cough>. I will say that 2 NFL players went to school with me, Brad Edwards (Vikings, Redskins) and Donnell Woolford (Chicago, Dallas). I now reside in Garner but will probably be moving over to the Fuquay side of life soon.

I ended up getting rid of all my SP's on the table just after you got the Holt (in all, I moved out about 150 pieces).

I pulled off a trade for a Mark Messier game worn jersey from the "Ninety Nines" All star tour in 1994 (during the last NHL lockout).

It's one of only 4 that were made, and this one was worn for the first 3 games of the tour. Has been valued at $13,500. So, it's definitely the pride fo my Messier collection now!

On a side note....

I will still be set up at the toy show this weekend in Raleigh, but my stock will be severely depleted. I think I maybe have about 30 pieces left. If I bring some of my bro's stuff out there, it will look much better.

But, I'm still cleaning house on SP's, so stop by if there's anything you might need. If I have it, chances are you'll get a good deal!

#1 KCFAN... where is that shop in Goldsboro. I've heard there's a place in G-Boro, but have never been able to find it.

I'm not THAT familiar with Goldsboro, so any directions you can give would be great too.

Saw (2) - 12" Black Gretzky's at the Target at Triangle Town Center at 3:00 pm today. This is the first time I have seen any of the Gretzky 12" figures. Go and get one if you have been looking for this one. Ed :)

they seem like the real deal now, ill admit to saying State would win both home and away at the beginning of the year when we were clicking and UNC was struggling, but since then weve taken different paths. hopefully we can pull it together.

i think this is strongest conference, miami beat us and i think they are no joke.

anybody a bobcats fan. knight put up 20 assists last night.

sparkysportz-are you kidding me? I skipped school once a week to eat the buffet there. i loved that place. the ville gets a bad rap, but i loved growing up there. my parents actually have retired up here in cary, so i rarely go back, but i do have a lot of friends who moved back to run family businesses, etc., and will go back every now and then for a friendly get-together. i wouldn't mind a little garo's pizza right about now!

Ate there every Sunday night, I just hate that Boss and Janice sold the place years ago. I have not been back to Fay in about a year. My mom still lives there, but she comes here about every weekend to see my son play hockey. A lot of growing and expanding going on around there. I would love a large pepperoni/canadian bacon with extra cheese, along with an eyeful of Michelle. She was one sweet waitress!!!!! Grrrroooowwwwwllllllllll

stopped by a walmart in dunn, and found a fresh case of nfl 10. they already had gotten one in before christmas, so it surprised me to find a new one. grabbed a sapp, moss white, and a vinnie. they also had all of the nfl 3 inch 2nd series. always nice to find some unexpected figs.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Hamptonville. Middle of nowhere about 30 minutes North of statesville on 77 and halfway in between Wilkesboro and Winston on 421.
I've just recently started collecting the Panthers SP and SLU's. By my count I've all of the available 7 SP's and 6 of 7 SLU's. Guess I'm caupght up until we get some new ones.

oh no man, you were pretty much right on. weve lost like the last four and theirs alot of contraversy about the team like "fire herb" and sit hodge and another starter evtimov. im starting to think that are on fans are some of the worst in the acc, the way they are overreacting about these loses and the way they've been the last couple of years with football and basketball.

Hey guys , the EB games at exit 58 on I85 has cooperstown figures at 3.83 a piece. My girlfriend was reading them over the phone, but there is at least 2 gibsons, 2 berras, 1 seaver and a nolan ryan left. I told her to lok all over the store, but I won't guarantee there aren't others. On a side note, I hope to be stuck at home more often. In her spare time she checked a couple of places, and brought home a 49ers Owens, retro Hull, White Gretzky, and Green Redd, along with a complete set of NFL10. Alot more luck than I've had recently, I might start sending her on 'missions', LOL.

I believe WalMart on Sardis Rd. North has all of those. They just dumped a ton of figs into a huge basket, so I don't know how long they will be there before they are all crushed.

Hey NC guys... I thought it might be intresting to pick who you would like to see in the next few NFL lineups... here is who I think will be in NFL 11, along with figures I would love to see made...

NFL 11:

1) Edge James ( One of the nicest guys in the league, mild mannered, never out of line, he is a true Idol)

2) Will Shields KC OG (This is a man of great pride, and talent. He could have left KC many times to play for SB teams, but he stuck it out, thru the thick and thin... deserves a SP)

3) Brian Dawkins (One of the best safety's I've seen in a long time)

4) Ty Law (we know he is comming)

5) Reggie Wayne (again he knows his role in the line up, as a #2 man, great all around reciever)

6) Big Ben (we know he is comming too, and one heck of a rookie!)

7) Johnathan Vilma (best def. rookie in a long time)

8) Dante Hall (One of the best KR/PR all time, and very impressive to watch)

9) Willis McGahee ( I just love watching this guy play)

10) Mushin Muhammad (Gotta have atleast one Carolina Bird Dog out there, maybe Steve Smith though)

11) Donnie Edwards ( I was heart broken when he left KC, I knew someday he would make a great LB, and look at him now)

I've been watching the news for the past 2 hours just laughing at drivers. Some people really shouldn't try to drive in snow, and or ice.

Weekly update from Goldsboro

Got up a bit early this morning, so I ventured to the ever so popular Wal-Mart.

To my suprise, they had another case of NFL 10. Here is what was/is left on the pegs...

3 Tomlinson regs
2 Owens regs
2 T. Green regs
2 Roy Williams regs (White)
1 Ricky Williams reg (corrected)
3 Randy Moss regs

On another note, all Nascar figs are on sale for $7.00 They had about 20+ Tony Stewart figs, and 10+ Kevin Harvick's. They also have the three of the Shaq/Yao 2 pack for $15.00 (boxes are beaten badly). And approx. 10+ Jeff Gordon 12" figs.

That is all from G-boro this week... I will get out and scout again this weekend, but doubt I will see anything worth picking up! LMK if anyone needs any of these for C+S.

anyone else a big bobcats fan and pumped about him getting a fig. I figure they may have low production for him since the team is expansion and still gaining fans. I was also thinking that he will just get a repaint of either the Ben Wallace or Karl Malone, with the regular being orange and chase being white. What do you all think.

Also on a side note, anyone notice some of the regulars on this board who have been on here for a while seem to petition for figs, IE Horn, McGhee, etc. Im not saying these people arent worthy of them. I just hope that the powers that be dont let others influence their decsions. What are you alls opinons.

yeah i agree. some questions that i really would like to get answered:

1) why LT in back to back series
2) Willie Roaf and that guy from the Jets (I never even heard of him and dont know his name)
3) Why Gretzky 6, 7 (I dont much like hockey, so maybe I cant talk, but I guess they are just cashing in)
4)does Mark and TMP let the board influence them. I know the polls are legit but everyone saying I want a Joe Horn, I want a Willis McGhee.

I dont have any interest in the NFL figs that they put out, I might pick up a Big Ben if I see in on sale.

There are so many new stars in the league each year that he doesn't have to do that. I personally am losing interest in the whole sportspick thing lately. I would love to continue to collect all the series but, don't need these same players again. Anybody else agree with me? :spawnskul

You're probably right - but the Cwebb pose is a cool one and if it is a reused sculpt I hope it is that one.

on a side note...rumor is that the panthers will sign mus to a 4 or 5 year deal for 24 or 30 million. im pretty pumped. we will have one of the best recieving corps for the next couple years.

Mus, is good, but let's face it.. he is getting older. They are probably going to offer him no more than a 4 year deal, and hope he retires before it comes to an end. The longer they sign someone, the cheaper it is on them, in the long run...

I don't see him being a Top 3 reciever in the league, now I know his stats this year were blown way up, but let's face it... Steve Smith wasn't there. When Smith returns, Mus will go back to being #2. Now, I can admit he is one of the better #2 guys in the league... Atleast top 5 ;)

Hey guys, just thought i'd share this with you all, played in a charity b-ball game tonight against the HARLEM ROCKETS, the guys really put on a good show.....they had six players, former Duquense Univ(2), one was like 7'1....tall guy from the AT&T commercial, Virginia State or Union, North Carolina State, last name was Seales for u state fans, Southern Conn. State and i forget the last guy....2 had NBA experience........really fun time, the crowd and kids loved the show, real crowd pleasers..........one guy was jumping out the gym, he had insane hops and was like only 6'4/6'5???????one guy made a HALF COURT SHOT......BACKWARDS !!!!!......unreal...............by the way, i went 1 for 2......2pts 1reb..........we played 15 guys on a rotational basis and a running clock and with all their gimmicks and crowd things , it really burnt the clock quickly

After BullDoggs 615am hockey game at the Garner Ice House, I will be spending the rest of the day indoors working on more customs. So hopefully it will not be too bad and I don't lose power!!! Plus he has 2 games sked for tomorrow.

Kel, you may be interested in seeing this one when it is finished ... My first Irbe custom - It will be in his Sharks jersey, and I plan on doing one of him in all of his other jerseys - Canes - Stars - Latvia - Maybe Kansas City and CCCP. I know he hated playing for them, but BullDogg is a huge fan and these will look great on display in his room. When it is complete I will post and have to bring it out to the next show and show it off.

unc played great tonight, state played the opposite, the dean dome sounded like it was crazy.

i wish the state players would actually contest dunks and layups, if every team figures it out and plays us man we will be screwed unless we shoot better than 50%.

simmons, the freshman center for state, is gonna be nasty in the next couple of years, they credited him for 3 blocks but he had about 6, when he gets decent playing time he usually gets about 3 blocks.

joerrad, my guess is $47 del for sb sets seems pretty good. i would scoop them up at that price. i paid $50 at a show for the nat'l conv pieces of iverson/lebron and thought that was ok. just my 2 cents though. take care, ed :)

Anyhow, she got it from her father. We both grew up outside of KC, and moved here in 97 (military). Her father has a lot of "ties" in the KC area, and somehow wound up getting this from Gonzo... Now, all I need is a game used item (i.e. gloves, cleats, etc) and my Gonzo collection will be complete... Can't wait!!!!
