check the gamestops fella's...it sure is nice looking at my sanders retro and my aikman blue jersey...just when i thought i was out, gamestop called and PULLED ME BACK IN!!!!! i also went ahead and bought a regular set at 12.99 each...i cannot believe there were two chase figs...there were three sanders plus the chase, two aikmans plus the chase, one l.t., one unitas, one franco, plus two elway regs...i am pleased with that...there were four other legends on the pegs, i think a sanders, aikman, l.t, and harris...someone else had reserved a case, but i did not see what was in the case...someone check the g.s in cary on kildaire, they seem to get cases in at the same time...i cannot afford to buy anything else!!!

I did reserve a case...figured I'd give it another shot, and it worked out well this time. The Blue Aikman was actually hanging on the peg when I walked in today at 5:20 PM ! Then they brought out the case I had reserved (which was opened), and therin lay the Unitas No helmet :) Glad you got the Barry and an Aikman...I do not like the Elway or the Harris fig that much...the LT is pretty cool, but I have lost nearly all respect for that guy. I'll try to pay $10 for that one somewhere later...

All MLB 13 are there (no sosa)
Most of the Legends are still there

Struck up a conversation with a collector from Roanoke, VA. He got about 1/2 a case worth of legends. TRU looks like they put out 2 cases, but....

NOT 1 CHASE TO BE FOUND :( , but that is to be expected from there.


Nothing new at Gamestops, EB, or KB. But KB has a lot of 6.99 figs:D

It was exactly 3:30 when I was there. Man, we probably walked right past each other. I was thinking about how funny it would be if I rolled into boogie's turf and snatched up a No helmet NFL Legend from under his nose!! Ha Ha!! That case just came in this morning. I was there yesterday, and it hadn't shown up in the system yet.

Oh yeah, Cary put out 2 cases yesterday (employee snagged the chases). There's supposed to be one more case in the back "somewhere".

I'm going to post a story later about what happened there yesterday, and how a store manager can PROVE that an employee is buying SP's, and what time they bought them. Stay tuned!

Quick football update, our JVs our 2-0 from a nice goal line stand with 5.6 seconds left. Our varsity fell to 2-1 after a 27-24 loss in OT to Jack Britt. Pretty good day for college football, yest and today-Appalachian, ECU, Notre Dame, Tennesee all won (all my teams I follow). Hopefully NC State can pull this one out tonight. I might see about getting out to the fairgrounds next weekend, I hope to see you guys there.

At any rate, I've just started collecting again, found a bit of a gold mine with the legends (not willing to pass this on, as it's the only uncorrupted place in Charlotte I know of). But, the Concord Mills TRU produced a Vick/Dawkins for me (US carded) and had the entire MLB13 set (TRI carded :( ) I read another post and had an idea. If there are enough Charlotte boardies (4 or more) I would be willing to host a poker night, preferably Sat. to watch college football as well. I live within 2 miles of the Nissan Pavilion, and any boardie would be welcome. The only catch would be each week you need to bring a chase ante. We'd work out details, as in, I'm not putting up my faulk retro against you angels edmonds. We could come to an understanding, if anyone would be interested. It would be a great chance for Charlotte area boardies to get to know each other, (maybe it would make us friendlier when meeting at the store and not knowing each other). LOL, at least the ones I miss go to an actual collector. Extra incentive for anyone involved, if I can convince my father in law to release it for a weekend, you'll get to see a #13 Selanne up close. As I stated a long time ago, I gave him the figure as a goodwill gesture (we weren't getting along, and still aren't) but I'm pretty sure I can get it back for at least a showing. Besides that, we could at least have a good time swapping stories and exchanging info. (It's down to 2-3 chases per series that I'm actually in to, other than panthers players I'd have plenty to trade) Besides, isn't it better to know who you're seeing, when you' re roaming the aisles at 1:00 AM?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ... I have missed the smell of the hockey rink! Bulldogg had his evals Friday night and Saturday morning .... he has not lost anything with his glove. First year in PeeWees where they start checking and trying to hit slapshots. There were a few that tried to get the puck past the Dogg, but no chance. He still needs to work more side to side, but should be interesting.

Spent all last week doing the 3 Tarheel customs to give away, so this week I am still trying to finish up those 8 Cardinals. Ed - I have not forgot "the project" for you and Billy I still need to get up with you on the Peppers. Were you looking for anything for trade, or how much $$$ were you looking for?

I picked up a Blue Aikman at Wal-mart in Kannapolis. They still had regs of Aikman, Elway, Sanders and Harris. S somebody came in and bought Taylor and Unitas, but left an Aikman chase!?!? Anyways, it appears Legends are starting to hit in Wal-marts near Charlotte.

Finally found some Legends and Dawkins/Vick in Charlotte today. The Dawkins pickup wasn't enough to propell Clemson to a win over Miami today.

Going to the Pats game tomorrow so hopefully the Panthers will win and this weekend won't be a total loss.

Also looking for a Sanders chase if anyone has an extra.

It is pretty tough to lose to a team like the Panthers, although the fact that the Patriots have still won 33 of their last 36 games including EVERY PLAYOFF GAME in the past two years means that the Pats are still awesome, despite the Panthers excellent performance today. I will NEVER shut up :)

Talk to me when you make it to the playoffs :) Fact remains you lost to the Saints at home...that will come back to hurt you...good win, today though.

Doh, the flames did the same thing.. I think it was because the Flames played the very next night, but the Cats don't play til the 22nd, and THEN they play 3 in 3 nights :eek:

Do tickets ever come avaliable again once their sold out for Panther home games? My Nephew is dying to go to a game this season.

I checked ebay but those prices are terrible. I can't pay $200+ for a pair of tickets in the 500 section when they retail for $35-40 ea.

Probably three out of every four games I go to, I buy tickets outside the stadium. There are always plenty available outside, and after kickoff, the price drops big time. Sure, you risk buying a fake, but so far, I've had no problems.
