Same here, but for some insane reason I was praying that I would have to break the bank and be broke next week.;)However...if the Redskins had won today and the Panthers won tomorrow...if would have set me back about $500 because I would have had to purchase tickets for the NFC Championship game.

Good morning NC. I will be heading to a friends house to watch the Panthers game. I hope it is a good one. Also, he is a SP collector and has a couple of chase pieces he is looking to trade. He is a Raiders, As and Bobcats fan. His college team is NC State. I will be posting pics as well as shipping for him. I know for a fact he has a Messier series 3 Chase. I am not sure what else. I will post them on this thread to give me NC brothers first crack before we head over to B/S/T or eBay. Later fellas and good luck to the Panthers. Eventhough Steve Smith hates the Eagles it is hard to root against him. He is a great player. Glad we took Freddie Mitchell over him :)

All is can say about that Steelers game is "WOW". What a swing of emotion and momentum in less than two minutes. The Steelers thought they had the game won...then fumble. The Colts drive and thought they had a tie. Missed field goal. I am not a fan of either team but I was drained after that game.

You know, its not very often that as a bears fan i can honestly say our defense let us down but goo dthing our offense kept us in it, im in disbelief right now but i suppose the panthers deserved that one, steve smith really took it to us, good luck panther and panther fans, next week will be a good one.

Hopefully the Panthers will be healthy next week, Foster with his ankle, Peppers with his injury and Morgan reinjuring his shoulder but playing the rest of the game. Either way, it should be a good one next week.

I'm starting to get my travel plans ready for my Spring Break in April. It looks like a trip up to the Charlotte area and hopefully hit some NASCAR shops Friday than:

Kannaopolis Intimidators-Fri
Charlotte Bobcats vs. Indiana Pacers-Sat
Charlotte Knights-Sun

Than, I would just have the Burlington Indians left and I will have seen every active minor league baseball team in NC.

Also, Feburary 25 the Raleigh Rebels (an indoor football team) will begin their season at Dorton Arena, I might try to make it out to that.

Damn, Foster is out for the rest of the playoffs. I was hoping it wouldn't be that bad. Atleast Peppers said he would be ready for next week. Brutal game on everyones bodies. Now if we can keep the secondary from taking brief naps during the game. Grossman should have never had the game he did against us. Way to go Panthers!!!!

Hey!

Yeah, it's a card show, and there should be at least a couple of people with SP's there. If I'm not mistaken, it runs from 10-5 on Sat, 10-4 on Sun.

It's about 80 miles from Greensboro to Raleigh, so add on the mileage from Winston to Greensboro.

On another note, I'll be at the Hickory show in a couple of weeks too, so if I don't catch you at this one, I'll can still see you in a couple of weeks there.

bump for the state/duke game...as a diehard tarheel, i cannot wait to see this game...i am hoping the pack play well...duke is playing well, and state has played great following the loss to the heels...I know alot of transplants live in these here parts, now, but take it from a guy who has lived in nc his whole life, college basketball is the greatest time of the year...don't get me wrong, i love the panthers, and i like having the canes around, but growing up, ACC hoops was all we had down here...MAN, DO I LOVE ACC HOOPS!!!!

Love the avatar....I had the great pleasure of meeting Kay Yow a couple of years ago when she was recruiting one of my friends (Marquetta ****ens). She came to our high school and went to the weight room looking for her...she is a great woman. Funny thing was that me and the guy i was lifting with were the only ones that knew who she was (of course we were the only State fans at Tarboro High)

ncstate, it is good to see you a fan of kay yow...she is a great coach...i have coached high school girls basketball for the last five years, and my wife played in the 4a state championship 10 years ago, and grew up playing with a girl who was the national high school player of the year...so we are pretty big fans of the women's game...don't get me wrong, i love the men's game, but there is something pure and fundamental about the women's game that i love as well...by the way, i will say it again GO PACK!

I just recently got into watching women's basketball b/c i wanted to watch Marquetta. I watched one game a couple of years ago to see if she played at all and now im hooked...like you said its fundamental. I love watching the men do crazy dunks and break ankles, but I miss the mid-range-J every now and then and thats an aspect of the game the women still practice on a regular basis....2 mins until game time....see yall in a couple of hours!!

hats off to the pack and the dukies...great game until the foul-on-dockery-three-rebound- on-the-missed-free-throw-three-by-cheescuoni-6-point-play...simmons had a break out game, but i am wondering if the gameplan was to let ced kill ya, but dont give up any threes, b/c state did not take that many threes...i know dukes d was pushing them out, and state got a lot of points off driving to the hoop, but they definitely did not take the threes they normally do...state is easily the second best team in the acc right now

ima dukie, and i honestly think that williams kinda sorta lets dominating big guys get off to avoid fouling out...........cause if his presence goes then so goes the dukies w/ the lack of size issue..........let the big man get off ,play him decently, avoid foul trouble, and hope he misses alot of shots and try to shutdown the teams other options

it looks like the heels are definitely back down to earth, playing the way everyone thought they would before the season started...not much offense the last couple of games...thank goodness the acc is down...even with that, if the boys play any more games this way, we may not win another one...a loss at uva is not good at all...hey, i think we still are the reigning ncaa champs, though!!

Seen the new SI at Walmart on jonestown road. However, it was the B Roethlisberger cover. I can't believe that NC would get the Steelers cover instead of the Panthers. All the book stores I went to on Thursday afternoon still had the Bettis issue from last week. Maybe they will get the Smith cover on Friday.

Very interesting night in sports, UNC gets ran by UVA, Greg Oden a 7'1 245 pound senior in hs played on tv, he is going to Ohio State, dang, if UNC could have pulled him. Just saw on Fox Sports Net that Pat Summitt got her 900th career win tonight, very impressive and as mentioned Hurricanes win 9th in a row, even though I'm not a hockey fan, I do follow the Canes a bit.

rumor is that he's oe and done............should have at least gone to a contender..............wish it was DUKE..................UNC has the #1 rated class and DUKE is right behind with the #4 class

I found the new SI today at the Wal-Mart in Wake Forest, picked me one up, pretty cool looking. I will be there at about 12:30-1pm or so. It's not hard at all to find. You simply get on the beltline and get off at the exit for Carter-Finley Stadium. You will see the fairgrounds ahead of you and to the right a bit. The cardshow is in the Kerr-Scott building the first building on the right when you turn in.

There are never any card shows in Winston-Salem. I really have no clue as to why. There are a lot of collectors here. There are very few shows in Greensboro. Vader...if you heading to Raleigh from Clemmons, just get on 40 East. You will get into Raleigh and take the State Fairgrounds exit. I believe it is the second street on the right. It is about a 90 minute drive.

We have two Dollar General Stores here in Clemmons. One of them had the Series including the white Gretzky variant. However, the package was damaged. I picked up the only Beliveau and the only Bruins' Esposito. There are plenty of Gretzky's and there was one Fuhr but the bubble was badly damaged.

I checked out two other Dollar General Stores in Winston-Salem and Clemmons. The Dollar General in Clemmons over near Backyard Burgers has not received a shipment yet. I checked out the Dollar General at Parkway Plaza. They had one case. They had the Gretzky variant but it had package damage. They had two Fuhr's. I bought one and the other has some bubble damage on the bottom. They had one Esposito Bruins' fig. They had one Bossy figure in good condition. They had a bunch of Gretzky figures.

I found a Wayne Gretzky Oilers' White Jersey Variant at the Dollar General in Danbury, NC this evening. $3.00 and it was mine. They had all of the regulars from the Legend Series 2. Also they had some 3" baseball.

300 yards for seattle...less than 80 for the panthers...i was not expecting this...i saw this morning that the overwhelming number of championship games are decided by more than 10 points...basically, not many are close...pretty interesting...win or lose, these boys have done great this year...i cannot help but think that the losses to new orleans and miami hurt us, because we would have had at least one home playoff game...it is hard to win three on the road, of course, unless you are THE STEELERS, ED!!!!!

Very true, very true. We couldn't run the ball, so let's take it to the air. When your qb is not that comfortable in the pocket and your playmaker is consistently covered, you start forcing things in and making bad throws. I was nervous about them playing Chicago last week, but they jumped on them early and never looked back. Anyways, I say they should cut Stephen Davis, let Deshaun Foster walk (unless they can get him cheap), and let Goings serve as backup to whoever they can bring in. They definetly need a change at RB. Foster could be great, but he's been way too injury prone. They had also better find a #2 WR. Proehl will probably retire. Colbert and Carter aren't the answer. And finally, they better re-sign Witherspoon.

i dont know why roberson has been in on kickoff returns. he hate me did well when he was back their the past few seasons.

they say drew carter can catch anything, but in the games he seems like he is nervous. hopefully we can pick up a quality 2 receiver in the draft.

Yep. Shelton had a bad pre-season so when he broke his foot they put him on IR. Basically they couldn't decide what running backs to keep, so they put SHelton on IR and kept everybody. They probably would have cut Robertson if they wouldn't have put Shelton on IR.

they always go defense and our defense is solid unless witherspoon dont resign, but then chris draft can step in, i think draft is a decent LB, i fill like mcree will resign but if he dont we got Thomas Davis, I think they should Draft a WR in the 1st round, someone to take some attn off of smith :-)

A solid O-line person. That way they could have a better pass protection and could open bigger holes in the line for Foster/Goings....ect to get through

1st store i seen the case on the riser it was still sealed so i bought them all and 2 coloring books total was 41 dollars

2nd store 8 regs and 3" MLB 2 packs

3rd store nada

4th store gretzky kings var
