Hey guys!!! Much to report...first of all...TRU in Greensboro got two cases of Coop 3. No variants though. They had three Robinson regs, two Ryan regs, two Fisk regs, no Mattingly regs, two Clemente regs. I picked up the only Mantle reg and it is nice. They had MLB 14...one case...no variants. They had two Yankees' three packs and two Red Sox' three packs.

Then on to the Sheraton. Tyler Hansbrough was the only Tarheel that signed autographs. He signed for everybody. David Green signed for one kid and that was it for NC. I got a nice photo of Hansbrough, Green, Noel, and Coach Williams. However...the highlight of the evening was meeting Dukie V. Everyone was standing at the elevators waiting for NC and in walks Vitale. Needless to say...he was his normal self. He was signing for people and shaking hands with everyone. He is a class act...nobody does it better in any sport than Dukie Vitale. I got his autograph several years ago at Barnes & Noble in Greensboro at a book signing!!!

Yes, Ripken will be in Charlotte on April 12 at 7 P.M. at the Barnes & Noble at Pineville-Matthews Road. He will be signing copies of his book Parenting Youth Athletes the Ripken Way! I might have to purchase that book although I have no intentions of reading it. Carolina prevails although Hansbrough was not much of a factor. They double teamed him the entire game. By the way...this kid is a real class act. He was so cool with the kids trying to get his autograph. He took time with each of them. Let's hope he stays this way!!!

Fenwayp...what do you think about the Arroyo-Pena deal? I think that it was a good trade for the Reds. Pena strikes out too much and he is definitely a defensive liability. However, he can hit. If he is a DH, he might hit 50 homers if he stays healthy. I was in Cincy last summer and he hit a blast that almost went out of GABP in deep left center field. It dropped about three rows from the very top in the upper deck.

Man oh man i swear ill never have 2 normal days off. :( lol at about 2:40 yesterday my mom brought me the phone and said that my manager at wal mart was calling. i grab the phone and he said i was gonna be getting off 3rd shift which is ok. i was like cool deal. thinking it would start in 2 weeks when the new pay period takes place. but hes like naw just come in tommorrow at 4:00 (which is today) ill be going back to what i did for the 1st year i was at wal mart. and thats unloading trucks. so my new schedule is from 4pm-1am. well it wont be to bad because during training camp ill be able to go every morning and if i was still on 3rd i would only be able to go on my days off. :)

hey, did anyone see the mock draft? I'd like any opinions, in summary, here's what I got....
I traded our #1pick for a 2nd and 3rd. So far, in the first 3 rounds, we've gotten..
OLB Thomas Howard, UTEP
OT Ryan O'Callaghan, USC
CB Jonathan Joseph, South Carolina (I would've taken TE Klopfenstein here, but Joseph in the 3rd round was too good of a value)
S Pat Watkins, FSU

With Me-Shawn being signed, I think our team is solid enough that we can take the best player available. We obviously need a strongside LB, I'm figuring we take Bobby Carpenter or Demeco Ryans with our #1, from there out we take the best player that could improve our team. O'Callaghan could play OT or OG and help with the line, Joseph could learn at nickelback until Gamble becomes too expensive to keep, and Watkins could immediately compete with Branch for the S position. Not to sound conceited, but other than LB we have no real weaknesses. With Keyshawn keeping the double teams off Smith, and providing a red zone presence, Foster will run free. You can't put a S in the box with Smith and Johnson outside. We could upgrade at TE, but it's not a necessity. Every team could use an O line upgrade, so if the right player is there we'll take him. Otherwise, I say we stick to the defense (that's what our team is built around). We're now set at DT and DE. Morgan in the middle, Thomas Davis weakside, with that ex-falcons guy (Draft is it?) backing him up. We draft a quality strongside LB like Carpenter, Ryans or Howard and we're set at LB. Lucas and Gamble are both great CB's, we let Manning go and draft a guy like Maxey from Miami (he actually took Hester's job) in the 3rd or 4th, and develop him to take over later. Minter is good at safety for a few more years, and Colin Branch actually won the job from McCree last year before he got hurt, so there's no loss there. All we need to do is draft a few guys like Jason Allen, Dusty Dvoracek, etc., Guys that have talent worthy of first round status, and just need a little grooming. We're already a SB team, if we draft right we can be a SB team for several years. Just build around Smith, Delhomme, Peppers, and Morgan.

BTW, I've heard alot of things about Morgan being brittle. Anyone that says that hasn't seen him play. The reason he gets hurt alot is because he plays a kamikaze style, where he sacrifices his body to hurt the runner. He won't last more than 3 more years, but he'll be just as effective as guys like Ray Lewis in those 3 years. There's a reason no one runs up the middle against the Panthers, and Witherspoon looked so good. Everyone is afraid of getting hit by Morgan.
