Greetings from Washington DC!!!!!!! BullDogg and I thought we would come up to DC for a day or 2 to go to the Air and Space Museums and troll around the National Mall. We have run in to so many George Mason fans .... I tell them that we are pulling for them and they seem to be great fans. Glad to see that slipper still fits someone!

We have hit 2 Wally's with nothing new. Maybe we will find a TRU or 2 to check out.

off to a baseball game during spring break...the boys are in first in the conference at 5-1, and we are 7-3 overall...we played 5 out of the first 6 conference games on the road, so hopefully, we can hold onto the conference lead with most of our games remaining at home...we are heading to roxboro person for a non-conference game today. hopefully, it will not rain...

just got home from game...we went up 15-1 in the 4th...we won 16-12...craziest game i have ever been a part of...we subbed in some players, and stopped being aggressive, and dang well almost got beat...at least we have the rest of the week off for spring break

Just got back from the Bobcats vs Hawks game, scored auto's from Felton & Marvin Williams. Also Jackie Manuel, David Noel, Wes Miller & Byron Sanders were there also on the front row. Managed to get auto's of Gerald Wallace, B Knight, M Ely & K Rush of the Bobcats and Josh Smith & Josh Childress of the Hawks. Gonna try and get McCants next week when the Timberwolves come to town.:)

Not at all. If you go to a game, just get there about a hour & 1/2 before the game starts when they open the doors and go to the tunnel that the Bobcats come in and out of. The Durham Bulls are having their FanFest on April 5 which includes a picnic dinner. I am trying to find out if you can obtain autographs. Last season everyone was basically a jerk with the exceptin of B.J. Upton and Jimmy Haynes who signed for everyone.

Airfan, I emailed the Bulls but I have not heard anything yet. Two years ago...they used this format and I got a bunch of Bulls' autographs who are now with the D-Rays. Last year, it was just an open workout and you really needed to get lucky. I did...I went for Upton and Haynes and got both of them. I had photographed Haynes at Great Americal Ball Park in Cincinnati when he was with the Reds. Of course Upton is the shortstop of the future in Tampa Bay.

Hey guys, just saw in the Fayetteville paper yesterday that the Fayetteville Patriots had signed Jawad Williams. They are only playing two more home games (4/1 and 4/7). Then Kelvin Sampson would've come home to NC instead of signing on to coach Indiana. NCSU pursued him before they signed Sendek but Kelvin had only recently signed on at Oklahoma. State wouldve had a great coach, hope they do land someone that can take the program to the next level.

The Durham Bulls FanFest is tomorrow night at the DBAP. I know there is a picnic dinner for anyone that attends but I have been unable to find out if you can obtain autographs from the players. Last year was a HUGE disappointment. Both B.J. Upton and Delmon Young are playing in Durham this season. I have already gotten both of those...Upton last year at the FanFest and Young at Asheville when he was with the Charleston RiverDogs. The only other player with much major league experience is Russell Branyan. I know he was with the Reds several seasons ago. He struck out about every other at bat so based on that, he has not been a big success at the major league level. I sent an e mail to the Bulls about the format tomorrow night but thus far I have received absolutely nothing. However I did receive my tickets for Memorial Day holiday which is becoming a tradition.

::yawns:: dayum im still tired and i slept 12 hours lol but any ways i figured i would post a lil bit about the golf tournament

Left home at about 6:00 yesterday mourning.. the drive down went well... i called Jeff about 15 times lol it had to be annoying lol... finally got into Raleigh at about 9:40.. so i met Jeff at SouthPoint Mall.... Huge arse mall lol so we met and i followed him off to the Golf Tournament. Get on the shuttle and who did i see Kiapooh. lol i should have introduced myself but wasnt thinking of it at the time i was 2 excited. lol but i was the guy sitting next to Jeff on the Shuttle. We get to the event and have a little introduction. they tell us what holes we can see and which ones we can and bla bla bla.. so off to Hole 10 we go. We look at our sheet and the 1st player at hole 10 is Donovan Mcnabb... Man was he a chracter. he nearly ran over the golf cart infront of him.. He told the guy "You need to speed up D-Mc Is here. i was LMAO so he gets to the hole and he is one Funny Guy!! he named his ball MoJo. lol at this point i was literally in a state of shock and awe lol.. i couldnt help it... it took a while for reality to set in. But he was cracking jokes and everything and signed for everyone. About 45 mins or so later i look up and guess what i see? A huge arse canopy flying my way.. i think jeff got a good laugh out of that one.. then i got to see good ole larry fitzgerald... dude he his taller than what i thought.. and he looks just like Busta Rhymes lol so i got to meet Mcnabb again on 18 he hit his golf ball and where does it go? Into the spectators.. he yells look out... we look up and here it comes.. hit the top of my shoe and then a few guys behind me... i thought about catching it and keeping it lol i should have.. but next thing i know he is driving his golf cart through the spectators... and cracking more jokes.. everyone loved mcnabb :) the players were pretty nice i only got refused 2 times which aint all that bad.. Marshall Faulk would only sign for a few and said he wouldnt sign any memorabilla.. and steve smith... who has 5ft under rule into place yesterday... thats ok tho.. i know lots of kids who are 5ft under when training camp comes around :) all and all it was a good day :). i think Jeff was the one who was wore slap out his daughter had him runnin all over the place :)

What's up guys. Just got back home from the Hootie & the Blowfish golf tournament in Myrtle Beach, wow what a weekend. Glad I got to meet you airfan at the Holt event (toyfan, don't forget to introduce yourself if you see me at the Dre Bly) Anyway, great weekend, ecspecially the Holt tourny as I'm sure everyone knows by now. The highlight was getting Deion Sanders the night before at the bowling event. The hootie was not as good, but I did ok. I got autographs from Arnold Palmer, Dan Marino, Gale Sayers and Jim Mcmahon. Marcus Allen wasn't on the list, but he was there. However, he pulled a Steve Smith & would not sign any football memerobillia only golf programs or flags, etc....Well thats my weekend in a nutshell, hope everyone is well and I can't wait for the Bly tourney.

Does anyone want to split the show with Parker coming up? I read about it in the Observer, it's $200 for a table. Parker, and several other local players would be there. I'm thinking about getting a table, but it would be a lot better if I could split it with someone. Yeah, getting autographs is a passion of mine. I absolutely love it. I mainly do football because that is my favorite sport, but I also do racing & just recently gotten into hoops. Does anyone know what time the gates open at Five County Stadium? My dad and I are going to try and get there tomm to get a bp ball or two and a few autos. I want to say 1 hour before? or does it vary by game time? I couldn't find anything on the Mudcats site about it.

appst70bull...you do not want to wait that late. Here is how you get autographs at Five County. You need to arrive at the back parking lot (down the right field line about 3:30 P.M. or so). The bus arrives with the visiting team around this time. It pulls up to the clubhouse and it will be quite unlikely that you will be able to catch anybody at this time. However...as they come out of the clubhouse dressed for BP, they go through the gate in the right field corner. You can catch them as they come into the stadium. There will be usually about five people there getting cards autographed. I usually travel to Five County several times a year for specific teams and/or players and have always had decent luck. Year before last, I struck out on Prince Fielder but that is my only denial thus far. D'Angelo Jiminez (former Reds' second baseman) who was demoted about three days prior to the Lookouts' game there was a little nasty but he still signed. The Lookouts are one of the best signing teams in AA ball. Huntsville is not very good. They are sullen and a little nasty but they will sign. The personnel at Five County is pretty good. There is one old guy that is a little crass but if you hold your ground with him, he will back down.

I just got back from seeing the local arena football team, the Fayetteville Guard. They put on a good show and for a 2nd tier league like the NIFL they drew quite the crowd. I guess being 4-0 and finally getting to play at home didn't hurt. Some good action and good hits as well.

I am not bothered by this move. Yeah Manning had a great playoffs during the Super Bowl run, but being able to essentially trade him for a 3rd round pick is pretty solid. He hasn't done much since the Superbowl run other than get burnt a few times as a nickel corner.
