TF85I was going to the Kahne signing until I saw you have to have a wristband. There pasted out at like 10am the morning of the signing. I have to travel over an hour to get there and it would be late in the evening at best. I have a SP I want Kahne to sign.

Not from NC, and well to be honest, airfan makes me hate UNC (football) cause he is always talking like they are the best thing in the world, and they very rarely win.....and well dont take this the wrong way man but State fans dont deserve to win.......my reasoning for this lets see....there are 117 teams in div 1-A out of that 68 teams get a play in or invite the NCAA tourney, herb sendek got you into the tourney 6 straight yrs in a row and in the second round also, and you wanted him fired.....to the point he got fed up and left on his own....Chuck Amato has brought state to a bowl game every year hes been here, and its not enough, you want him fired...your winning, there are many other teams in D-1 that would love to win and just got to a bowl game, but going to a bowl game isnt good enough for state fans.....so i like it when UNC loses just to talk smack with airfan, but i really love it when state loses cause the way the fans act when they do win, they dont deserve to win. the teams deserve the win, the universities deserve to win, but the state fans dont deserve it.

Aight cool, appreciate the explanation. We wanted Herb gone b/c we couldnt beat Duke or UNC (which thats hard for anyone.) We want Chuck gone now b/c he makes us look bad esp after the Akron game...it was a good game, Chuck didnt want everyone to say we lost to a decent team so he goes on his rant about how Akron lets non-eligible players play..that looks bad. Chuck cant keep a coaching staff together. We had one of the best defensive minds in Reggie Herring (when we were #1 in the nation in D) and Chuck wanted to coach the D all by himself and Reggie left and went to Arkansas. I like Chuck as a DC...not head coach. If we can get an offensive minded HC and put Chuck at DC i'll be happy, but Chuck's ego wont let that happen. We've had a differnt OC every year since Chuck's been here (except Marc Tressement)...thats not supposed to happen. You also have to look at it as a State fan...in 2002 we were on the rise and went 9-0 and beat ND in the Gator Bowl, we were supposed to do big things in the ACC and even the BCS...now we were back to where we were b4 Philip and we dont like it...anyway im glad Clemson beat the crap outta dem Heels today...hopefully BC wont do the same against my Pack

I love when people make intelligent arguments like this one when they have no idea what they're talking about. I'm not a state fan, but my best friend is so I always give him crap. Amato is a good recruiter, but a terrible coach. Since you are so educated on the matter, what bowl did state go to in 2004? I didn't realize 5-6 teams were bowl eligible. Apparently it was an untelevised, unreported bowl. When Amato lost to Akron this year, his excuse is that they allowed nonqualifiers to play. Not I got outcoached, we got outplayed, but it's not fair because they have 3 players on their team that couldn't have qualified at state. Then he went on a rant about how other coaches have struggled and it's not his fault he shouldn't be blamed. The last acts of a desperate man. He'll be fired after this season, and for good cause. I can't speak about Sendek as I'm not a big hoops fan and don't want to make arguments that aren't true to support either side.

What a GREAT win for NC State last night !!! Spectacular TD with 0:08 !!! That was fun to watch ! My Demon Deacons are now 4-0 as well, despite losing both their starting QB and RB for the season ! GO DEACS !!! Liberty next week should give them a 5-0 start....not bad !!

It was an exciting game. Not a fan of any NC team but had freebies to the game. My fellow coach (State Fan) was ready to leave after the failed 4th down conversion and I said to him we might miss a great ending. State was down 5 and a FG would have made it 8 if they were to convert. The botched snap on 3rd and short was huge for state. Good game and glad to witness. Better than sitting at the house on a Sat night. On a side note, my Dawgs won a freeking nail biter at home against Colorado( A win's a win). Charlotte Independence QB Joe Cox might be our starter over Stafford next week. GO DAWGS!

hey everyone on this board knows im not a state fan, but you gotta give it up for Evans, he played a great game, thats pretty darn good composure for a redshirt, i mean, look at marcus stone, he was a highly recruited kid out of florida, and this kid a local boy from broughton high........even if he stumbles some later in the season, they have two great running backs both sophomores and a pretty good QB. cant argue with the way they are playing now... guess that will silence the critics at least till next week

Well got back late last night from Bobcats camp down in Wilmington. Scoped everything out for a day to see what there schuedule was for the week, the where staying at the Hilton in downtown and having two a days one at 10 am and one at 6pm.First night we go down to the hotel a little late and Morrison is standing in front of Subway stopped the truck got out and asked for auto, he was like no problem very cool. So got down to the hotel yesterday at 5pm right before they start loading the bus. Got autos from Felton good as always, Knight really nice, Wallace ok, Primoz came walking towards me to give auto, Okafor personalized everything ok by me and May would only sign one thing **ckweed had a couple more things for May to sign but I guess all in all it was a very good couple of days off chasing autos.Talked to Coach Bickerstaff in the bar about the up coming season and how big a fan of the Bobcats that I am so he said just give me your addy and we will send you a autoed team pic.Thanks Caoch. Will be going to see them play at the Smith Center both times.

It's not a bummer if you're a Clemson fan that almost set his TV on fire in the first half. Wake was making some great plays until the fourth quarter until the momentum shifted.

Hey all, I just dropped in to write a quick note. Between teaching and coaching football and the lack of new Sportspicks out, I haven't posted in about 3 months or so. Tonight I got on the board to look through a few threads and saw the Titans Mawae, another lineman for me to buy and of course the Steve Smith fig. So, maybe I can start buying a few figs again.

The football team isn't doing too good this year (3-5) with 3 games to go. I've been to a few college football games (ASU vs. NCST) and (ASU vs. Elon) and upcoming NCST vs. Wake. Other than that, I spend my Sat pondering the game the night before and watching college football. Sunday, I don't get to watch the Panthers, because of a 3:30 coaches meeting, but I still pull for them.

Hopefully, everyone is doing well and I can find some time to post more.

Just have to gloat a little. My former high school SouthWest Edgecombe #9 in the state (3A) beat the #2 team in the state and conference foe Rocky Mount last night 21-16 to improve to 6-0. Nice win considering they beat us twice last year and knocked us out of the playoffs. I figured they wouldn't do as well as last year because of losing 16 seniors but they have proved me wrong. Raymond Cobb did it with North Edgecombe and now he's doing it with SouthWest Edgecombe. He is an amazing coach and SWE is now a football force!! Thats funny to hear being that the whole while I was there we were the laughing stock of the conference.

I headed up to the NCST/Wake game today. We had four kids playing in the game so our head coach made some calls and got us some tickets. We were sitting 2 rows from the field in the endzone. Very nice seats for free, although traffic and parking was horrible.

boogie...i went to bed half way through the 3rd quarter, and woke up this morning and about ****** on myself...the only way i could have won our game was if the bears defense scored touchdowns...i got lucky...how did the cardinals collapse like that...

I know Jon, he lives about 10 miles away from me. We've done a few trades, nothing big, but he's been more than fair. If he's not responding to you guys give him a chance. He's always been very prompt with me. I learned along time ago that people arent who they say they are, but at least give him a chance, who knows what might have happened to him.

Too far away to have felt them. Although earthquakes in NC are not that rare it is unusual to have 3 over the span of 2 days.

Hey guys, you might remember me as sprucecolm, after my car accident (which you might have read about, it was between Charlotte and Myrtle, drunk driver (not THAT story though, not the one that made the papers about the teacher). At any rate, I've just started collecting again, found a bit of a gold mine with the legends (not willing to pass this on, as it's the only uncorrupted place in Charlotte I know of). But, the Concord Mills TRU produced a Vick/Dawkins for me (US carded) and had the entire MLB13 set (TRI carded :( ) I read another post and had an idea. If there are enough Charlotte boardies (4 or more) I would be willing to host a poker night, preferably Sat. to watch college football as well. I live within 2 miles of the Nissan Pavilion, and any boardie would be welcome. The only catch would be each week you need to bring a chase ante. We'd work out details, as in, I'm not putting up my faulk retro against you angels edmonds. We could come to an understanding, if anyone would be interested. It would be a great chance for Charlotte area boardies to get to know each other, (maybe it would make us friendlier when meeting at the store and not knowing each other). Obviuosly the surrounding areas are invited to, I know Huntersville only has like 1 collector, because I occasionally find a chase there several months later. Gastonia wouldn't be far, Concord. My house is less than a mile from exit 48 on I-85, very convienent for traveling (as I used to do, and know do to a degree). Let me know if anyone is interested in such a meeting/poker night.
