I just got back in a few hours ago from Boone,NC. I went up Friday night and watched Watagua County get whooped by Mt.Tabor. Than we were at the stadium at 9am to watch the Mountaineers beat the Eagles. They play the Richmond Spiders next week for the rights to go to 'Nooga. I went to a few Wal-marts but no SPs anywhere to be seen.

I had a friend that owns a card shop over in Cary (Cardiacs) call me last week and asked if I wanted to attend a funtioni that Josh was speaking at. Told me if I had a fig made up I might get to get it signed and what not. Well long story short, I was able to "present" the custom to Josh and got a big hand shake and tons of smiles. Great guy who has been on a long journey to be so young. Hopefully some one got some good pics and will be able to send some to me as the one my friend took came out really blurry.

I met Josh last summer when he was with the Bats on a rehab assignment. I am a huge Reds' fan and he was extremely generous with his time. He signed a mini helmet, a baseball, and the only Beckett that he appeared on the cover in 2001. He signed everything that everyone put in front of him including some guy that had him to sign about 50 cards. I guess that person did not learn autograph etiquette.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke's Martynas Pocius will have season-ending surgery on his left ankle.

The junior reserve averaged four points and 2.5 rebounds in four games this season for the sixth-ranked Blue Devils (8-0).

Pocius originally injured the ankle while playing in Lithuania over the summer and re-injured it in the Blue Devils' win against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 25, the school said Tuesday.

Pocius is scheduled to undergo surgery in January, which will allow for ankle swelling to go down. The guard had similar surgery on his right ankle after last season.

Well, they were all gone at like 2pm yesterday, so no public sales. They are saying to go the Chattanooga site which are saying sold out and go the the school sites.

Based on the way duke has played this year, i really thought they were unbeatable. They took care of wisconsin, so i figured they would have no problem with a bigger team. the last 10 minutes was the difference in the game. the devils are only beatable when they do not shoot well, which will not be often. they can afford to get beat on the boards. they are athletic enough to make up for it, and those guys can flat out shoot. defensively, they are 99% of the time going to do better than the last part of last night's game. as a diehard unc fan, i know we are number 1, and i have watched every game. i really like our team and their chances. i am not disappointed in the way we have played, as a lot of fans appear to be. I just think we will struggle against them. defending the three has been tough for us. talent-wise I think we are even, I just think the matchup favors duke. of course that is a long way away and right now all i can think about is being out for christmas break!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I just got in from Ohio not to long ago. I finally got to mark a sports trip off the list, we went up to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday. It was great, we spent about 2 hours walking through it. On Friday we went to Findlay,OH to look at the girlfriend's college University of Findlay and also saw Big Ben's high school and the stadium he played at in high school. The HOF had multiples of pretty much every figure but no Fanecas or William Thomas. I did pick up a Brady Quinn to add to the collection.

Based on the way duke has played this year, i really thought they were unbeatable. They took care of wisconsin, so i figured they would have no problem with a bigger team. the last 10 minutes was the difference in the game. the devils are only beatable when they do not shoot well, which will not be often. they can afford to get beat on the boards. they are athletic enough to make up for it, and those guys can flat out shoot. defensively, they are 99% of the time going to do better than the last part of last night's game. as a diehard unc fan, i know we are number 1, and i have watched every game. i really like our team and their chances. i am not disappointed in the way we have played, as a lot of fans appear to be. I just think we will struggle against them. defending the three has been tough for us. talent-wise I think we are even, I just think the matchup favors duke. of course that is a long way away and right now all i can think about is being out for christmas break!

i know those glowing duke remarks took alot...lol..........i think alot of people are hating on unc because they havent played anyone.....no ranked opponents and this current string of cupcakes coming into chapel hill while most teams are playing other top ranked teams..............that duke /pitt game hurt, but as bad as we played, we still had legit shots to win.....im still expecting 4 to 5 losses this season....who knows....dangit, is it jan 6th yet.....i need 2 see my DUKIES babbbbeeeeee!!!!!

Actually I am going to get two Millers. I am going to open one and put the other one with my regular figs. I don't usually open except if they are coming out with one a player on one of my teams. Being a Cincinnati Reds, Buffalo Sabres, and Washington Redkins' fan, I have not had to worry about purchasing two figs!!! This will be the first Sabres and the Reds have had Griffey, Jr. and Dunn along with the Bench Cooperstown fig. The Redskins had Lavar Arrington and that has been it!!!
