Saw 2 RED Vick 12" figures today at Clayton (US70) Super Walmart (they were on top shelf)...they also had 4 12" McNabb (Green)...

Saw and picked up my first 12" Urlacher this afternoon at Cary TRU...nice figure !!

MY walmart all of sudeen got a couple nfl 8, nba3 5 6, mlb6 and mlb7, a pujols 1 , a steve francis, like 20 some figs total all of a sudden right after they reset and starting putting out 2packs.....now, all are gone????????????either someone unloaded a crapola of returns or they stopped putting things on the floor????????

NCState...if you are headed up here and want a Red 12" Vick, they have ONE left at the Clayton, NC WalMart on US70...bottom shelf in the back...if you are coming up I-40, take US70 East exit and the Super Walmart is on your right about 3 miles up...can't miss it !

EB in Carolina Mall off I-85 (exit 58) has 4 McNair, 2 Ahman, 1 Lewis, 1 Brown, 1 Holt, all regs, all marked down to $3.50. They also have 3 inch sets marked down to 1.62, but only 1 NFL left (Mcnabb/Emmitt). They had several older NBA and MLB marked down also(Glaus, Randy2, Ordonez, Hasek2, etc.) If anyone does some custom work you can't beat that price.

Fellow Charlotte area members, I stopped in at the Gamestop at Providence and 485 to check on upcoming series and was told that most if not all of the Charlotte area stores were no longer carrying toys. They stated all their toys and those from the Carolina Place Mall store had been sent to a store in Concord. Has anyone else heard this? Anyone know where there is a Gamestop in Concord? I'm strictly hockey and I had already pretty much given up "hunting" on the south side of Charlotte anyway.

I spotted a few at EB Games in Concord Mills a few weeks ago. If you are up on that end of town, you might check it out. Thanks for the offer, I'm waiting on NHL9 & 10. First priorities will be Datsyuk, Lang and (please, please, please) Red Wings chase Fedorov. I haven't seen an NHL chase at retail since NHL3 on my side of town. Thankfully, with the seeming increases in chase to reg ratios, I've been able to get most of the recent chase off the Bay at "reasonable" prices.

nice find fenway...and congrats on the sox, man...big braves fan, but for some reason, i have always been a red sox fan, too. not diehard, but big fan.growing up jim rice was my favorite player, and yaz and fisk and burleson and lynn and hobson.i loved those guys when i was 8,9, etc. the braves took over in 81 when murph and horner played, and they were on tbs every game. but i still consider the sox my favorite american league team. i went to unc and love carolina b-ball, and love the rivalry with duke, but there is nothing better than yankees/red sox in october.nothing like those games at fenway and yankee stadium. those games are exciting for a fan with not much at stake. i cannot imagine what it would be like to watch those games as a diehard. Didn't mean to be so long winded...tru in cary still has the moss, mcnabb, urlacher, and manning 12 inchers. now they have the mcnair's. if those were 19.99 instead of 29.99, i would snatch all five. i just cannot afford. no portis/lewis as of tonight.

Found Portis-Lewis 2-packs this afternoon (Saturday) at about 4PM at TRU in Cary, NC Crossroads Plaza...grabbed one and there were still seven left !!! Go get them ! They are sweet ! I almost bought two, but held back. Also found a Nomar2 white variant...thanks to whomever returned it :) They also had 2 more 12" Priest Holmes' and 3 more 12" Steve McNair's...among many 12" Moss, 12" White McNabb, 1 12" Urlacher, and two 12" Mannings...

I just got back from Charlotte from the game, and the Chargers were stayin in the same hotel as we were. I rode the elevator with half of the team. I talked to Quintin Jammer, and most importantly i had a conversation with Philip Rivers....overall good weekend

tru in cary still has 8 portis/lewis, and for john holmes' (12 inchers) one urlacher, one holmes (priest, not john), lots of mannings, moss, mcnairs, and mcnabbs left. i wish i could buy them all just for craps and giggles. Is it me, or does the quality overall look lacking since the first few series of figs. i have always thought the quality of the card has gone down, but it seems the figs themselves just look cheaper. i dont know, just a thought. despite all that, i love these things. i am a 35 year old kid when it comes to friggin sports and sports cards, figs, etc. the sad thing is, at this point, if i wasn't engaged, i would rather go to walmarts and targets on a fig search, than go downtown raleighwood on a booty search.

TRU in pineville and on Independence both have regs from NFL 8 and 9, and some random leftover baseball, hockey and basketball. New super walmart on sardis rd. north probably has the most NFL figs of anybody in town right now. You can also try Media Play in matthews and on south blvd.

I am a high school civics teacher, and i must tell all of my north carolina buddies this interesting info...for every presidential election held since the first election ever held, the last home game that the fayetteville state broncos has played has predicted the winner...if the broncos tie, the president wins re-election, if the broncos wins, no body wins the election, and if the broncos lose, the challenger wins...i am not sure if the fsu broncos won this weekend...check it out...also, check out meredith college in raleigh...the same thing can apply...honestly

I found an ogden and a white plummer today at a walmart in dunn. i teach at a school in erwin, nc., we didn't have school, but we did have b-ball practice, so i ran over, and found these figs up on top shelf. if anyone wants these, i will sell for what i paid,. or trade for another new variant fig. went by tru in cary, and those 8 or 9 portis/lewis figs are gone. that might be the only thing i have seen new to come out that people actually bought. i passed on them because of no money, now i wish i had bought one, and just not eaten lunch that week!!!! ncstate, i will pm you later today, and maybe we can work something out. if you have nothing to trade, i will sell for walmart cost (where i bought it)

made the durham run today (live in cary)-thought i might find something at the hidden tru-no nfl 10, but they did have a bunch of 12 inchers of all but urlacher, and they did have sosa and ryan 12's-no portis/lewis either-checked by the walmart off 15/501, and in a separate isle section they had nfl 9-no variants, but there were 4 ogdens, and about 10 of the other figs each-they must have gotten in several cases-no nfl 10-i am 5'11" and 240, and i am quicker on the basketball court than i am at hunting figs-anyone hit the kb toys/eb games/gamestops at any of the raleigh/durham malls? i am resigned to just paying for the figs i want off ebay-the chase is so darn fun, though

Ahhhh. If anyone is interested, the TRU on Independence has all the 12" figs, 2 Kings & 2 Blue Gretzky, a White McNair and several NFL8 & 9 regs. No NFL10 yet. Nascar regs marked down to 5.98, and the 3" NBA twopacks on sale also. They only had the Wallace package and Nowitski.(I don't remember who was paired with them, not a big NBA fan)

Oh yeah, Concord GS got two cases today, both are reserved and sealed, and the Kannapolis GS is expecting 1 case which is also reserved. I'm not a big fan of this reserving crap. I was in the Kannapolis GS earlier this year and the manager offered to reserve me a case when I asked about expected delivery date (MLB8). I said okay and did so. When the case arrived, they called me and I went over that night to check it out. The guy comes out of the back with a handful of 8 regs and gives them to me. I asked him if my CASE was back there, as this was just a stack of the same figures he had on the rack. He said that's all that was left, it was picked clean earlier today. ???? So reserving a case did me no good at all and I haven't wasted the time since. Now, I go into the GS and they say they have 2 cases but they're reserved, I have to wait until someone picks through them and I can have what's left. (Isn't that the same deal I got when I actually reserved it myself?). He wouldn't crack the seal to at least let me see the case assortment. (Plus I'd like to see a Delhomme chase) Just my rant, I'm tired of wasting time with Gamestops.

there are ten delhomme variants from one seller on ebay right now. there is a buy it now for 34 plus shipping. looks like the delhommes are starting to show. i just realized that i ordered a roy variant for 9.50 plus combined shipping b/c i bought 4 other figs off of ebay this weekend. the seller did not know that the blue was the variant, and not the regular. actually, when i bought the roy, I thought the blue was the regular. but as the weekend went on, all the whites began to show, so i am under the impression that the blue is the chase.

that's not what they told me!!! They said, I could reserve any figure I wanted, or reserve the entire case. I said, okay, I will reserve the case, but I dont want the tape cut until I get here. They said, the store policy is to open the case to make sure it's not damaged!!!! And they wouldn't make any exceptions.

If I can't open a case I buy, then I won't buy the case! They will rip you off anyway they can!!!!! Be careful!

Well, thanks I suppose :) 2-3 months ago I would have bought them, just to buy them, but I have come to the conclusion that I don't need EVERY figure made. I just collect KC Chiefs figs now, along with a few other ones. It wasn't easy to leave them behind. I examined them very carefully though, looking for errors, etc... Nothing out of the norm...
