I went to a near by out of town GameStop. I go in and see there are only ten figures on the pegs. I'm thinking someone has beat me to them. So I go through them and to my surprise I find a red Emmitt Smith and a Chief's Rich Gannon. I asked the salesperson if they had anything else and he say no. I was just curious as to who were the other two figures there were gone already. It was a good day for me.

I'm up here in Wilkesboro. It's about 40 minutes from Winston or Hickory either way. I don't know if any TRU near me have got wave six yet. I don't think you will find much at the TRU in Winston, that store is really picked over either by collectors/scalpers or salespeople.

Gamestops and EB Games got them here today in Raleigh. I picked up several variants but no cowboys emmitt or favre, the only two i really want.

I'm pretty sure that TRU is picked over by at least one salesperson. I remember talking to him last year and asking about NFL 5. He said he was on the lookout because there were certain figs that he would looking to pull. KB was the same way. I don't know that it is now, but chances are good that it still is.

Like most have said my local Wal Mart still has a ton of MLB 5 and other stuff that's been hanging there for months. We did get the Urlacher/Favre two packs in last week though so maybe we will get NFL 6 soon.

EB Games in Crossroads on Saturday had 2 reg. McAllister's, 2 reg. Gannons and 1 reg. Bledsoe at $11.99...I left them all in hopes of finding some at WalMart or TRU later. Also, TRU in Glenwood supposedly had one case "on the truck" last week, but it is clear that the employees snared all of them, as I called first thing Friday AM after having the manager tell me Thursday they would be stocked overnight (but, of course, they won't hold the case or any figures). All of the figures were gone 5 minutes prior to opening :rolleyes: Whatever...I'll find some at WalMart soon enough...

I;m going to be working at EBs over the next few months for my job and will keep an eye out for the Davis figs. Hopefully, the employees will help me out because I'll be there helping them out. Fenway - I opened that case about 11 at TRU on Friday and there were no variants in there. I left the whole thing in the doorway near the stockroom. It was there but you didn't miss anything.

I broke down and bought a case of NFL 6 online. The price was just too good to pass up ($120 including shipping). I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Finding anything there is going to be next to impossible because he told me that he was looking out for a guy that was going to pay him more for pulling certain figs for him. Bastards! :mad:

I did my run today in Hickory and here is what I saw,

TRU didn't have anything. I was told last week they would be in Thursday. I checked last night and today and there was nothing on the pegs. I ask them to check the back and they said they didn't receive anything on there last truck shipment.

KB had nothing.

Media Play had just put a case out but it was picked through already. The had Gannon x2, Alexander, Alstott, Bledsoe, Harrington, and McAllister at $12.99 ea. I asked again if that was all they had and of course it was. They guy said the went out yesterday or today one.

Babbages had only Holmes.

I went by KB tonight and found one Deuce on the pegs. I talked to the guy I know there, and he said he took the Holmes variant from the case and sold it on ebay for $45. Lovely, eh? I think its safe to say KB is a lost cause.

I've heard here before on the board that KB in Winston is not a good place to find stuff. I think EB may be the sameway. I do think though that Gamestop in the Mall puts most of there stuff out on the pegs.

I was in Fayetteville this morning and the TRU there said they had them but not anymore. Said to check back on Friday, which does me no good. The Babbages in the Fayetteville mall had some in the back but nothing I was looking for, all regs.

Last week, I missed two cases at KB in Cary by about 2 minutes, as I was walking in, some guy was walking out with a BAG FULL, probably all variants as all that was left was regs. Bummer. I have really stopped looking since I have come to the conclusion I'll never get a Falcons Favre so why waste my time running to stores. Now NHL6 is a different story all together. Good luck boys.

I went by KB and found nothing of course. The guy there told me that they got some new MLB 7 in on Friday but that all the variants were gone. He even said the manager snagged the retro fig from the case. If it wasn't bad enough having to battle scalpers and regular employees, now we have to battle the managers too?! This sucks!

I took in one of the inserts from a Gannon I had opened and gave the UPC to the Toy Manager. She scanned it and said they already had them in. When I showed her that all they had was MLB (all they see is "sports assortment") she scanned it again and told me she had just ordered 2 cases! :D

my local eb got a panthers davis last week....the assist. manager that i was dealing with came into work at 12:30 and the case was put out immediately right b4 he got in...he did call me when he got there and he saved me the remaining six that were left..ALL REGS.......i cant complain, cause i got a red emmitt and kc gannon...from the 1st case...hopefully a third case will come in today...

This is the first time I have posted anything, but I've been reading stuff on here for about a month. I only recently discovered this forum existed. Just wanted to say that I found the 12 inch football figures at TRU's today in Cary and at Crabtree. Cary had about four or five favres and rices, and crabtree had a smith, a vick, three ricky's, a rice, and two favre's on display. The guy at cary tru said the only ones they had were the ones that were out. The person at the crabtree tru went to the back and got me a vick. the one that was on the shelf had a tear. i would think there are more in the stock room. I thought about buying all of them, but then I realized I was a teacher and dont make ???????? for money, so I just got the vick. anyway, hope this helps anyone looking for the figures.

Hey Big Daddy Kel - where have you been looking? I picked up a complete set of reg. figures plus a black McAllister and a Panthers Davis at the WalMart in Hickory. They also had a retro Gannon but the facemask was screwed up - it was at the top of the helmet - i left it there.

-jackI check Winston(never find a thing down there) and Hickory the most. I saw the Gannon/Brooks two pack today at TRU in Hickory as well. They had a NHL two pack too but I didn't look to see who it was because I don't collect NHL. It seems most Wal Marts have got shippments in of NFL 6 but I'm still waiting on mine to get theres. I check everyday but haven't found a thing. It's very possible that they have them in the back but won't bring them out until the other stuff sales.

Cary, NC Toys R Us (Crossroads) had 12" Jerry Rice (x3), 12" Ricky Williams (x1), 12" Mike Vick (x3).

Cary, NC WalMart (Tryon & Kildaire Farm) had 5 Gannon-Brooks 2 packs and 2 Favre Urlacher 2-packs. I also saw 1 reg. Bledsoe from NFL6, but nothing else from NFL6...

This was as of around Noon today. FYI.

Did you type that correctly? You found a Panthers Davis at the Wal Mart in Hickory? I'm there two or three times a day (I work at the Lowes right beside it). I think you've got an employee helping you out. You didn't say you found them on the pegs. Come clean... did you have someone pull them for you?

The only 12" I have not seen is the Dallas Emmitt. NFL6 has not been around here long, if at all, either. I think it will show up sooner or later, though...suprising that WalMart has not had more.

same here...my tru has all 12" except the cowboy emmitt as well and my wally never got nba4 or anything since mlb5....it would be nice if the original urlacher gets a 12incher, which would be good for us late starting collectors....thats why i got the ricky..cant find him anywhere and online is over 30 bucks.....so i spent 30 bucks on a big one...which is okay, but those 12 inchers cant become habit forming...cost 2 darn much

I took a NFL 6 insert into Wal Mart today to see if they could scan it with a hand scanner and I was told they don't have them. I really don't beileve that but I went along with it anyways and took it to the scanner on the wall. It came up in the system with D Bledsoe $9.63. So I don't know what the deal is with my Wal Mart and NFL 6.

Was at Cary Target this afternoon...there was still a Gannon, Bledsoe, Harrington and Alexander hanging if anyone is interested.

Also, at the Cary TRU (Crossroads), I noticed that there were two 12" Williams' and 3 12" Rice's near the normal display. In addition to that, I noticed that they had placed about 14 other 12" way up high near the "Cars and Trucks" sign...there were about ELEVEN 12" Favre's and THREE 12" Cowboys Emmitt Smith. I snagged one Cowboys Emmitt and the other two were placed at the normal display. This was around 4:45 PM Saturday. Just thought someone might want the Cowboys Emmitt heads up, as they seem quite a bit tougher to locate.

Also in Greensboro this month there will be the annual toy show at the Greensboro Coliseum. I believe the date is 22-24. I know I will be there sometime during those days.

KB in Hanes Mall said NFL 7 next week also, but they are usually useless b/c any good pieces get snagged by the employees there first (but I did find a red gloves Emitt there last night)

How does your KB know they are going to get NFL7? They dont even know what is coming on the truck until it is there. KB has switched to "positive receiving" which means they are told how many cartons to expect, but they do not know what is on the truck until just before delivery.

Several weeks ago, he held a complete case for me - wasn't even open. It was great. Just be nice, maybe they will hold some items for you.

I found NFL 7 today at Raleigh area WalMart...unbelievable case...they were just sitting (all figs out of case) on the top shelf in the figure aisle ! I could not believe it ! It was BY FAR my best one time find EVER...here was the breakdown :

There were a ton of Favres, a couple of Penningtons, and one of each except Pepp, Vick, and Carr at the WalMart on Hendersonville Rd in Asheville.

I was passing through for work and was hoping to get lucky outside the Queen City. I was also in Knoxville but there was nothing at all there except for a bunch of Gannons variants :eek: ;)

See y'all in the trenches when I make it back to Charlotte. By the way, the only variants i'm lookking for are Pepp (what a shocker, huh?) and Pennington. Anything else that I find (another good joke there) or get in my case, I'll offer up to you guys first in case you come across the Pennington or an extra Peppers.

Sorry for the ramble....I've been up for 45 hours and got on the road at 5:30 this morning.

Well, I'm shocked and I apologize for the length of this post.

I beat some scalpers today while on the road in South Carolina. I pulled up to TRU at a few minutes to 9 to see a few people standing outside. By the time I parked and made it inside, I saw this big fat guy and his friend carrying a bunch of figures towards the register. Dejected, I headed back and went to the spot by the Simpsons stuff. I noticed 2 pegs of NFL 7 figs, but figured they had been ravaged.

It took me a second to notice, but then it hit me....there were no regular Rams figures in the Series. Sehorn repaint right up front. Excited, I decided to go through those pegs. Right behind the Sehorn was a Green Pennington and White Shockey. In the peg above that one was another White Shockey and the very last figure on the peg was my prize....White Peppers!!!

I was on my way out and this guy came up to me asking where I found those and I showed him where they were and what I picked up. He then started telling me about the scalper who he thought grabbed everything in the entire area. The scalper came up while I was showing the other guy what I had and he looked so pissed, because all he was able to get was a White Ward and Blue Carr. He didn't look too happy either when I gave the other guy a White Shockey right in front of his face.

I left that TRU and decided that maybe luck was on my side so I drove up the road about 15 miles and went to another TRU. I figured it would probably be a wash because it was 9:30 already and lightning had already struck once today. I was wrong!

I walked back to where they keep the SPs and there were a ton; nicely organized by figure on the pegs. Again, I figured there would be nothing, but about 3 Penningtons deep I noticed a Green one. Sweet right? There were actually 4!!! White Shockeys? 5!!!! I grabbed one of each and kept searching. I then proceeded to find 2 Blue Carrs which I picked up. Rounding out the day....another White Peppers!!!! I left 3 Green Penningtons and 4 White Shockeys because I had already dropped too much money. I wish I stuck around long enough to see the pissed look on the scalpers face when he found out I beat him again.

Final tally:

Green Pennington x2
White Shockey x2
Blue Carr x2
Rams Sehorn x1
White Peppers x2

If you made it this far, congratulations. I am looking to get rid of 1 White Shockey, 1 Blue Carr and possibly 1 Peppers and 1 Pennington. If interested, shoot me an email. I'm looking for a Red Vick and Colts Faulk from this series and some others stuff from older lines (mainly NHL and NFL)

Hey guys, I'm moving to Charlotte this weekend, so I'm also allowed on this thread. :D I found a bunch of NFL7 today(gotta clear out Virginia before moving on)Anyway, I grabbed a couple extra Peppers regs, let me know if anyone needs a few, they're available at cost+shipping(or just cost if you want to meet up in Charlotte) Also, I have two more cases I'm supposed to be looking through tomorrow, so I can get some more. The peppers are alot easier up here than they will be down there, so let me know if you need some. Haven't found the elusive white peppers yet, hopefully it's in those two cases.

who me? is right. I got there after Zubslava got there, he has a booth at the toy shows if you know what I'm saying. I saw him in Durham and he told me he got those the day before, apparently there was one case left that he didn't get to get, which is the one I found the next day. If I would have gotten there when all of the variants were there, I would have either picked them for the board or hid them for someone here. Which gets me going, I collect star wars too and a bunch of us help each other out by stashing stuff and letting the others know where it is. Anyone interested in doing this. Peppers, and a reg. Hines Ward. Chances are slim that I'll get any of them, but there is always hope...

I hit Winston tonight knowing that both Gamestop stores got there NFL 7 shipments in. I went to the one at Target and they were all sold out, ok that's no problem. I then go to the one at the Mall and was told they have them in the back but there all reserved and to comeback in two days, what a load of bull sh+t. I tired to reserve the case some weeks back and was told I could not. I get so tired of being lied to with these damn things. I think I'm done hunting SP's at retail. It's just to upsetting when all the figures are reserved or in the back because the salesperson is hold them for himself or a friend.

This is real frustrating to read. Except for the guy who got like 15 chase figures?!!?! most of the threads have been, "got to the store, only had 5 figures left". I'm in Greenville and that's pretty much the story at the one and only TRU there. The EB I've long since given up on and the I'd rather run onto the field at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in my underwear than go to the 2 KB Toys here because I feel I'd get more accomplished streaking. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to have to buy cases on the internet and trade for the ones I'm missing and put the extras on eBay if I can't trade them all. It's annoying to think in a town this small that the TRU employees are scalping the figs before they hit the shelves, but I guess what else is there to do around here. smile.gif Oh well.

Do you guys believe in good karma? After striking out earlier today with the NFL 7, I was rather dejected. I had to make a run to the post office tonight and decided to stop by TRU, the last place I ever expect to find SPs, on the way home. I go in and see that the stock folks are bringing out the pallets. I check around and low and behold, what do I find but a fresh case of NFL 7 stacked on one of the pallets. One of the stock folks was kind enough to let me open it, and to my delight, I pulled out an alternate jersey Vick, Ward, Shockey, and Pennington. This will probably be the biggest SP haul I ever have, and it definitely makes up for the reserved case I couldn't partake of earlier today.

You know I don't care if a collector gets them over me. That's fine, he/she collects them and enjoys them but when someone like a salesperson takes them to resell that's what upsets me.

I here you, BDK. All I ask for is a fair shot. It sucks to get there when the case is put out only to get the Heisman because some person who came in a three months ago asked to have it saved for him. It kind of spoils things a bit.

I'm with you guys on the reserved cases crap. Crabtree Babbages won't reserve cases anymore which is a good thing and they are usually pretty good about helping out. One guy there usually holds them in the back until the collectors get what they want before he puts them on the shelf. You just need to ask when you go in there. I've lost figs to several guys that I know resell simply because they reserved the cases. I use to think that the employees pulled the variants, but the only store that I know does that is KB in Crabtree.
