Sorry to go off the topic of Chucky, but i want you guys advice -

If you look over some of my earlier posts in this thread i have a problem with CornerStoreComics. To cut a long story short, my round 4 variants got lost in shipping from America. They put together another package for me with the same figures, but i havn't heard anything esle from them, and they told me that on the Monday before Christmas. I've emailed them 4 or 5 times now and still no reply. I don't know what to do next. I paid for the figures already (over £100). Any advice? :confused: :confused:

Edit. Ive just checked my emails, and the last email i got from them was the 10th fof December, they said they would be sending out the order the following Monday (the 12th)

Just keep emailing them until you get an answer. Surley by now the figures should have arrived?

Bah Kitch got it, doesn't seem that long ago we were all vying for post number 2000. Set up my Valkerie, she's one damn fine figure, but, here's the thing, she has that damned real hair thing going on, which is one of the mongiest things McF has ever thought up. Does anyone know if I soak it in PVA glue/water mix will it harden but still look semi decent?

Hey waylander13, welcome to the boards.

Warning - Choking Hazard, a similar incident happened to me when I ordered a single pack Evil Ryu from them via eBay. After 4 weeks, I emailed them and they claimed that the first package got stuck in customs so they provided a replacement. Fortunately I managed to get their replacement. Its pratically been 4 weeks since their last email and I'm sure they must have sent it. Only thing you can do is email them again, maybe its stuck in customs since its over £100/a large package? I hope it works out for you though

PB, I do the exact same thing with the FP on my way to Uni. I'm practically in their every day, they must be getting sick of me especially because the majority of the time, I don't even buy anything, hahaha

Looks like i'll just have to get the player 1 colour figures and the UK colour variants in the future. It's not worth all this hassle really, plus im probably going to get charged customs charges when it does get here :rolleyes:

Yes, now you see why trying to get colour variants is foolish. As for round 4, I'll only get instore Akuma variants if I see them. Just hoping I see the black variant, I've still not been won over by the blue one yet.

Manga haul Trigun Maximum 4 and 5. Would've gotten 6 if they had it, FP do a 3 for £15 on manga which is great. Went looking for some toys aswell, but there's really nothing out there which I like. I may buy 12" spawn issue 95, but apart from that, nothing. I'll have to go onto ebay to get anything good until new toys start coming out.

They've been boxed up and in the loft for afew weeks now and I didn't get all emotional when I took them down to photo and list so I think i'll be OK ;) It's a lot of years collecting, a lot of searching out hard to get figs and a lot of money but I have moved on to new stuff now. There's still a few I haven't listed so I'll always have a MM or two (or 5!) in my collection.

Agreed!

They're just a big shock value gimmick now :( I only got Red and Gretel from the last series (because I'm a perv ;)) and I'm not overly attached to them to be honest.
Despite the gripes and groans about 'weird protrusions' on Franky, Drac and Wolfy (which I agree with actually) I still love them to bits. Voodoo Queen, Sea creature and The Mummy more than make up for the three lesser figures.

there is computer games shop on Union Street in Glasgow, 2 shops down from Games Workshop. Got some nice Alien v Predator, Spawn, Star Wars etc. Much better than A1, and cheaper than FB

what, you must be scottish, yes!!!! I go there now and then, but stock wise, I've bought what I can get from there for now, ( I really need to get those 12"ers they have). Do you work there or something, cos that's quite a sales pitch you just put forward.

I'm a bit annoyed at how A1 has gone I used to go there all the time for my toy needs, and it was great now they don't seem to have much great stock, it's generally FP who have the odd intersting thing right at the back where all the manga is kept.

those following few series are just not designed as well. the twisted thing "could" be a good concept if the design was executred nicely and in a more creative way.

I'll need to start storing my toys. But I don't know who gets to stay and who goes in the box, it's so difficult to decide. It'll be ages once I finalise my shelves. The are a bit clutered and a bit messy now, which just looks awful, I hate seeing collections where toys are just crammed in, I prefer 1 rank of toys in a nice line with uniform spacing. Ooh, except for Sf, that has to be a group shot.

The FP up here has one of the japanese releases of Advent Children with the first sculpt Cloud on fenrir and a few other dohickeys that come with it for £250!!!! damn I was so pissed, £150 and I would've given him my card then and there without hesitation, but £250's far beyond what I can spend. Damn I'm so annoyed they charge such a high price for it.

My haulages, first the manga, Trigun Maximum 6 and 7, and Death Note 1 (which is excellent). And toy wise, the Yamato Vash the Stampede from Trigun Maximum, the one sitting watching TV, makes a good book end for my manga.

But I'm so, so, so, so insanely annoyed at FP's insae price for that Advent Children, if they weren't a bunch of ****s I would be bragging that I just bought it right now. They will burn in hell for this.

Considering that the FFVII AC LTD Edition was about £200 odd, I agree that FP are insane for selling it but the initial price for just Cloud + Fenrir on eBay was around that and the fact they only have one so...

And theres not much of a reason in buying the inferior version of a set which will be improved in terms of sculpting and quality and also readily available from March onward for less then 1/3 of what you wanted to part.

Death Note is an awesome manga, a horror/thriller without any type of gore but at times, the movement of the story and the artwork can really creep you out. That Light's a right b@stard, hahaha. PB, are you a big fan of Yashuiro Nightow? Have you ever seen Gungrave?

Yashuiro who? I'm not really clued in on the ar**** and stuff, I just know what I like. I've been meaning to get into Gungrave though, that entire genre of gun action is the kinda stuff I like, well that and mecha. I've read Death Note now, when Ryuk appeared to the criminal on the bus, it was so cool, I never saw anything like that coming. I'm hoping Ryuk is in it more for the whole sereis, he's great. I want a death note, it's be cool.

I peeled the bubble back to get the figs out. It's still partly attached on all of them but obviously some of them look better than others. There's a couple there that you could glue back to the card and probably wouldn't even notice that they had been opened.
All are sold as loose basically, the packaging is there for those that want it and is reflected in the slightly higher shipping charges.

The low prices on Eve and Patrick surprise me? When I was collecting these I had to get Eve from US Ebay as she was fetching £30+ in the UK! Patrick was a 'badly listed' bargain but I have seen him go for £20+ loose.
Funny how the prices fluctuate so much on this particular figure range. Especially as EVE is one of the best ever MM's (IMHO ;))

el updato, just bought a Black Beast gazelle fot £20 including shipping off of the bay, not bad seeing as retail was £30. Anyhoo, the Glasgow FP, been to the Edinburgh one once. It looks really good, but stock wise, wasn't much different. All in all the Glasgow one rocks, layout and stock is generanlly quite good.

Not overly worries about the end prices TBH, I took about £200 all in so I can't complain.
Better that I help other collectors to fill their gaps than have a big stash sitting in the loft gathering dust.
I kept a few, surprisingly I found it to difficult ot let my Series 7's go? Also kept the 3 Army of Darkness figs, Chucky and Tiffany, The Crow, and original Leatherface so it's not like I'm all MM'd out!

Yeah, I always thought the same, especially as they took me years to acquire.
I think it was the disappointment of seeing MM's come to an end that spurred me to clear them out. It was always more the thrill of the chase for me rather than actually displaying them. There was nothing better than finding a rare one at a silly BIN or for a good deal on US Ebay. Personally I now think Spawns look much better displayed than my previous jumble of MM's (some of which, if I'm entirely honest, were pretty crappy!).
Plus I lost count of the amount od times they fell over, got broken and had to be replaced, got stolen by my kids!
At least my current collection is a little more robust ;)
End of an era for me I guess and it did hurt but I thin it was for the best.

So ken has diffrent gloves than the normal versions of him? You got any pics? I decided to get the white one bceuse the yellow one looks a little stupid actually. His gloves should have beeen a diffrent colour, maybe white?

hmm, i don't have close up, this is all I got from my old collection thread, but you can kinda see ken has full hand dark red/brown gloves, Ryu's are bright red and just cover the back of his hands.

ken's just look loads better, so a white ken with Ryu's head would look ace, also a way of getting a white Ryu if you only have a grey or whatever.....hmm that's a pretty good idea actually and probably cheaper.

Spendage update, I really should stop until Uni starts back proper but I needed a toy fix. Spawn issue 95 12"er. Ordered it off of the FP site mainly cos I have yet to see it instore, anywhere, I've only seen Gunslinger about ( ooh and G-Force have a WOR, must buy that). So it's 2nd class, so this time next week, I'll hopefully have my 12" issue 95 in my hands, and all for only £25.49, instore was £29.99 for 12"ers.

Yes indeed I got my gazelle, black beast repaint for £20 including shipping. I've spent the better part of the day working out how the damn gun came apart, the instructions being in japanese did not help, but now he's posed next to my Maximum TV watching Vash.

Bad news from FP, they had to cancel my order for 12" issue 95 spawn cos they couldn't accept my card, ugh, atleast it means I'm £25 up, but I still want one of these, hopefully FP will get some instore soon, cos so far only Gunslinger has been around.

Where else but ebay, £15 BIN now, I was clicking it before I'd realised it was black beast repaint, but it still rocks. the Gun is teh roxor, how it comes apart is great and how you can actually chain it him. is the dude on the base supposed to be just someone or an actual character. i haven't read or seen anything with the planet Gunsmoke, just maximum, so I don't even know who Gazelle is,. Was he a Gung Ho Gun?

I don't think anyone knows who Gazelle the Peacemaker is. There's no information on this guy except for the figure itself. I'm guessing that he's an unused character design for a Gung Ho Gun which Nightow wasn't able to use in the manga, or a specially designed character just for Toy Tribe (because Trigun doesn't have enough characters already, sheesh!). Is Legato the next figure to be released? I remember seeing prototype pictures way back...

Congrats on the price though. £20 is awesome for such a massive and well made figure, I think I paid close to that just for Vash the Stampede back in the day. FP London is charging £55 for it which is why they've still got plenty.

As for Cloud + Fenrir, it'll depend on how much money I have left in the bank come March. At first, I had no plan to get it but the price seems reasonable now so I've come to terms with spending it on such an awesome set

I did a wikipedia search on Gazelle, nothing. But in one of the volumes of Trigun Maximum Vash has a flash back of the Gung Ho Guns he's killed. You just see their heads, one's Monev, someone else and the thired is a guy with a Cow Boy Hat, so maybe it's backstory from before the start of the manga. Never knew Legato had a bit of vash's arm grafted to him, awesome. If I can't find Death note tomorrow, I'll be getting some of the first trigun manga.

I only have the first volume of Trigun (been reading it on the train to uni past couple of days, something I haven't read in a while). Never got round to getting the second volume and then Maximum. I get too much other manga as it is. What Death Note volume just came out? I think the first 3 volumes are monthly and then tri-monthly afterwards.

Its the first series that follows the anime, but I'm now prefering manga over anime in oh so many ways. Damn FP still only had death note 3, I need 2!!!!

Damn now I need to hunt down boxes and padding cos I have like near 20 figures who'll be going to, "the other place", aka, in a box under my bed or something similar. Gazelle replaced a whole 3 figures shelf space wise. I'm trying to unclutter them, it makes a collection look ten times better when you only show the gems you have.

Ok guys, got a big update on my CornerStoreComics, Street Fighter round 3 situation. I got this email from them on the 17th of Jan -

Hey Richie,

Sorry for the delay in reply. It's been an absolute madhouse here since the holiday break. We came back to work right into the annual warehouse inventory, which totally blew up our systems for several days! ARGH! So not only did we end up with a holiday shutdown backlog of emails, but then it extended well into January. As you can see, we're just finally hitting the email from January 9th today. ARGH! ARGH! On top of that, we got hit with both Marvel Legends 11 AND 12 a week apart from each other right in the middle of the inventory fiasco. ARRRRRRRRRGH!

It is very disconcerting to hear that you haven't received either box. We're running some tests on our Intl postage system right now to see if there might be a problem there. Once before we had a UK address that the "auto-verify" system kept insisting was a different city/postal code than the one we were providing, and that package ended up coming back to us due to a "non-existent" address. We never really did get an explanation on that one (although we did inquire.)

If we have, in fact, had another box go missing, we could be in some trouble. We had to call in a few favors to replace some your items for the first replacement box we sent you. Getting them again may prove impossible this time around. ARGH! On top of that, there is more than a little trepidation on our part about sending yet another package off into the "black hole of space and time." It's already cost us an arm and a leg here (not that we are blaming you for that, so please don't misinterpret our statement.) ARGH!

We will get back to you as soon as the techs finish noodling with the postage system. In the meantime, I'll check inventory to see which pieces we do and do not have, in case another replacement is warranted (and deemed safe to send.)

Sounds like great news, i sent them a reply saying how grateful i am for them doing this for me. They have had to use 3 packages now, so they have lost 20 figures because of me :( God knows where they are, it seems strange that 2 packages have been lost, 1 maybe, with a bit of bad luck, but 2 :/

Hmm never thought of that. Maybe just a hand switch. Cos I really like ken's gloves. I suppose I could just repaint Ryu's. The red is a bit too red, ken's look more realistic.

I think you should repaint them or just switch it. Ken would look ok with red suit and red gloves. Funny thing about the ripped edges of the gi on Ryu as Ken has a ripped gi in most of the games as well, as their sprites are just a palette swaps. Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter III etc etc. The only game where he's depicted as clean gi is Street Fighter II (and the Street Fighter II anime movie)

Yeah was just about to asked if anyone has heard anything from atriot, hope he's sorted things out.

Yikhai, I am actually amazed at how smart he is, but also at how he can so easily kill anyone now. Like after he killed the biker in the street in volume one, he hid under his bed sheets, but now he relishes it. I loved how he managed to kill of the 12 FBI agents in volume 2, that was excellent. I'm just at the point where L will meet the NPA, so it should be good.

Do you know when volume 4 is out?

updates on my situation. Just got back from the travel agent and embassy and got my passport and tickets. But I had to pay 50 quid for a passport renewal and 200 quid for a new flight ticket. I am now officially broke as hell :(
Hopefully I dont get into any more trouble this time. Will be flying off Monday night. Arriving in Malaysia tuesday.
BTW is there anything or document else I need other than a valid passport and flight tickets to get on the flight? I just want to go super fully prepared this time. I have flight phobia now and trust me...it aint about the aeroplanes...:o

This one look excellent though, like freakin' excellent. i wasn't too happy with Piece of Mind, mainly cos I've never liked the cover, I'll get it soon though, but I WILL get this one, it's too good to pass up on.

Another Marvel Haul today. I wasn't planning on getting any more Marvel Legends due to lack of space but then it hit me. If I removed the sentinel bases that came with Magneto, Colossus and Gambit that I still used for display, I would save alotta space for new figures, especially since I have an actual Sentinel in the centre of the display. Ya-Ha!!
Marvel variants aren't as hard to find as they used to be. ML12 Bishop (variant) = £9.99.

I'm seriously thinking of stopping collecting figures. I just don't have the room anymore (I have space to fit about maybe 10+ at most :( ) and its a real drain on cash when I could be buying more important things.

I've made the decision, I'm goin to plan out the stuff I REALLY want this coming year and only get those (Some Street Fighter, Resi Evil, Halo figs etc..).

I don't think I'll be on here as much too. I have to resist the temptation of coming on to the forums and seeing a new product that I want and end up buying it. I'll still come on every so often but just not as much.

Theres still a few stuff I want and I'll post pics when I get them. :)
