Slowed down completely these last few months. Ebay prices have hiked for some reason and it's real hard to get a deal on there these days. Postage increases is making it difficult to get overseas deals going on here too.
Everything I have is still in boxes until I can get time to make somewhere for it to go. I'm not as enthusiastic about my stuff as I was this time 12 months ago though. I'll take a long hard think about what I'm keeping and what goes when I get it all out eventually. I still pick up the odd Spawn fig as and when I come across them, and I am keen to complete my Puppet Masters but other than that there's not much I want. Looking forward to Mezco's AoTLD2 getting released and the odd CC grabs my attention but I am starting to wonder how much longer I'll collect for.

So how's Malaysia then fella? Hotter than here I'm guessing? ;)
yea. i feel the same. the need for completing the collection has somehow died down.
now thinking of how to get rid of some of the stuff here as the interests in McF stuff has been steadily declining here.
the only spawn fig i picked up was the nightmare spawn. the rest of the lines jus doesnt really interest me :(

hahaha. hotter than there is an understatement. burning here.
was in cambodia last week. it's ven worse there. scorching hot!

Kingdom Come figures are indeed out again, came out...3-4 weeks ago, I believe.
Yeah, I plan to get at least the Wonder Woman and her in that white jump-suit style outfit, don't come out until December so will have to wait a while.

I just saw the latest trailer for Gundam 00, I think the Exia is OK, very much like Strike but the Kyrios looks cool. May have to get the cheap First-Grades and build it properly (doing that for Wing Gundam Zero Custom HG 1/100 as my first glue/sand/paint model)

I didn't get the lightning edition, but I got the 1/100 MG Strike Freedom, which is equally as cool. I think my first PG will be the Strike Gundam, definately.

So what you doing nowadays, atriot?

To be honest, I haven't seen any at retail for a very long time now, Soil. Even checked eBay and there isn't alot of MGS McFarlane there...just the odd one, here and there amoung the konami figure collection and the 12 inch figures...

Erm...just a store, its not huge but it isnt small

And its only one floor

Half of the room is comics and graphic novels and the other is figures

Graham

the newcastle store is pretty small.......comics, books, dvd's and figures on the ground floor, and gaming (as in warhammer etc), and more books, down stairs. it's pretty cramped. especially when there's a signing.....

Hi,

Soil referred me to this thread, and I am hoping someone might be able to help me out. I am trying to collect the popco, or cards inc whichever the companies name is now versions of the new Harry Potter figures. My son wants all of them, and from what I understand they are only available in the UK and then some parts of Europe. Is there anyone that might be able to pick them up, and then mail them to the states. I can pay through Paypal for them if it helps any.

I could possibly help you out atcost+shipping. You're currently looking at around $45 all in for 3 figures delivered via airmail to the States.

Haven't really been paying much attention.....although, from what I have seen, The Simpsons stuff has probably been the better seller of recent months. Everything else has seemed to hang around, but the Simpsons Movie stuff seemed to go pretty quick....

I stand corrected

Ive been buyig Star Wars model kits from TK Max, looking for the Millenium Falcon now

And Alien Dragon i have bought 2 10th Anniversary Spawn figures from TK Max (Spawn and Ripclaw) and in Bradford they had a few McF Conan figures too

Just remembered they had the Ultima Online figs too, minus the Ancient Wyrm

yikhaichan

Haha, TK Max has some odd figures, I found a Palisades series 2 Invader Zim for £5 amoungst the Superman Returns and X-Men 2006 figures a while back. Haven't revisited, queues are atrocious at my local one, theres not enough staff against the bargain hunters.

This thread was worth a bump, good to hear from UK boardies.

I'm with Graham on this, I haven't paid attention to much mcf toys for a while. I did buy 24 Jack Bauer and a few of the LOST figures from series one but thats it. I still see alot of the Simpsons Movie figures but thats because they're now being sold in places like GAME.

My tastes have changed over the past year, I'm buying less and less DC Direct and more anime-related PVC statues and trading figures. I'm still interested in Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid figures, the MGS 20th anniversary sculpts from Medicom look nice while I'm currently against paying £10 a piece for the NECA RE figures, though really need their Tyrant.

And still getting the Marvel Figurine collection...have to pick up the Galactus this weekend.

Soil
11-15-2007, 03:46 PM
Hey Yik You mean Galactus is out next week?

Will i still be able to pick him up at WH Smiths?

Have you found any Metal Gear Soild figures anywhere? i found a Fortune MOC but she was priced £15 and i didnt wanna pay that

TK Max is strange I always feel kind of dirty looking through their shelves. But sometimes you luck out. There were a couple of the Falcon kits at the Hounslow branch the other week.

Good to see you guys still about BTW

Can't remember exactly. I think around £20 - 25. Just enough that I couldn't justify adding it to the stack of unbuilt kits in my shed. They had the Tyderium and the Droid Fighters too. There were also some Star Wars Attacktix, including the Wampa for £6, which I did get. And a couple of Zoids.

Whoa i dont like the price of that

I picked up the Death Star for £7 and it came with a movie print ( down from £28) and i got an X-Wing to go with it too, im looking for a TIE fighter now and an Imperial Shuttle

My bro picked up that Wampa attacktix too, they also had 2 starter packs and the Star Wars/Transformers double pack too

Lack of any real shops here means I'm limited to purchasing from ebay or play.com
Ebay sucks at the moment so pretty much everyhting i get is from Play. They do seem to have increased their variation of stock quyite a bit over the last 12 months so it's not usually hard to find mainstream stuff on there. Prices are pretty good too, especially with their everlasting sales.
Twisted Xmas is only £8.99 each on there at the moment.

most of the mcf stuff has been pegwarming in Malaysia. (where i am at anyways). it's pretty sad. the only one that was really sought after was Nightmare Spawn. and most of the female figs quite generally fly off shelves.

i aint getting much into the mcf stuff these days either. nothing interesting to me. looking for a kratos though.

have been regularly getting revoltechs. those little muggers are awesome!

@ Soil: Galactus is out now according to some people on action-figure.com and ebay. Its a hefty piece of lead at £18.99 RRP. WHSmith might sell it like they have the other specials lately, I get mine from a comic shop so not 100% sure.
Don't see any MGS figures anymore but try ebay, theres a 99p Fortune ending in 3 hours time...

I know what you mean, knightjar, TK Max is literally a dumping ground.

Play.com is great, I've used them for Star Wars Animated Maquettes, looking forward to their Christmas Sale already, hahaha.

@ atriot, I agree, paint jobs for the latest RE series are quite disappointing which is why I'm so reluctant to part money for them. I still have the Palisades figures on display, still need Alexia and Tyrant to complete them off which is why I want the NECA one so badly. Still eating up the Revoltechs? I've been wanting to get the Fate/Stay Saber one for ages but the new Revoltech FRAULEIN sound intriguing with Evangelion characters...

I'm pretty much complete on Spawn now. Just a couple of lesser 'wants' and I'll stop with the Big guy I think.

yea. the paintjobs horrible. i think ppl will be buying the figs on the strength of their licensing by itself. did u see bonedust's repaint of em:
http://chaoscustoms.blogspot.com/2007/11/licker-repaint.html

yea. u would get hooked on the fraulein line. they look great for a almost micromen articulated female figure. and they have long term plans in store for this line. lets hope we get to see more female in this line... that hopefull doesnt turn out like Revy (black lagoon). I would love to get one of the babe from Gurrenn Laggann.

That collection has a Deadpool. I haven't been able to find that issue yet. It upsets me:( So does the fact that the Gears of War toys aren't out here yet. I called FP and asked, they said maybe call back on tuesday or wednesday. I don't know if that means they'll be out around then, or if maybe they get their deliveries then and they're not always sure what they're getting.

I hope it's the first one. But that's still like 4 days away!
