as for figures in london, yeah no more iori, didn't expect him to sell out while the sf figures are still warming pegs in fp. they do have new sf series II stock so if anyone is longing for red/white ken... i wanted to get a b/w hartigan but fp only have color and cinema store was charging too much.

btw have you seen the episode III fx lightsabers in the cinema store?? they only have anakins but the graphics on the box makes it look like a cheap bootleg and it doesn't come with a display stand. they had it out for "try me" but i didn't want to break it with my jedi skills with the lack of space, hehe

comics, yeah, i got green lantern #1 (both covers as Alex Ross is da man), secret war files of nick fury, excalibur, x23 and the latest issue of wizard. btw, i have about 4 copies of that sketchbook, luckily the actual comic comes out this week and should be biweekly

wizard's pretty good this month, has jim lees sketches for wonder woman, black canary and zantanna (who cares about batman and robin, eh??) and a preview to the alex ross title Justice.

the box seemed to small and thin to have stands, but as i said the actual graphics don't match previous fx lightsaber boxes and the names are used in a font like impact and not the sleek design master replicas are used to.

yeah Alex Ross is one hell of a painter. at first when i first started reading comics, i didn't like how realistic his art was but after reading kingdom come, i'm glad hes doing more painting. although he's not drawing Justice, hes painting makes it so clean. i need to get "Mythology", i've been meaning to get it for ages

yeah the box does not look as classy as the previous ones. but eh...who needs to box...it's a lightsaber!!! :D and the new oneos has better sounds and brighter lights too...and less battery usage...3 instead of 6!

tell your friend to rewatch epi 4-6 to get his interest back and then tell him there are luke and vaders available, use every trick in the book to get him/her to get one so you can muck around with it

yes palisades re are good, but i think the new re4 figures look cooler and nicer. adas face at least looks like a woman compared to the monkey like expression palisades gave claire. if they keep to the scale, i'd b very grateful

with series II, the marvs available will be a b/w cut (coated) marv and a b/w blooy (wife beater) marv. if you think about it, there are gonna be b/w and colour versions for the rest but what about marv, where the color versions are exclusives?? so i guess they ship these two b/w version together.

at the moment i'll not bargain buying off eBay, but more buying the wants that i've wanted for a long time. i've just won a Superman Batman #11 cover Michael Turner signed print for £27.00 shipping from US. i'll show you when i get it

no, theres a part in the first time you are in the village, if you go into one of the houses, you get a cut scene where leon pushes a crate over the door only to have chain saw dude tear it apart and then your constantly chased until you shotgun him down, i let him decapitate me twice. it was funny the first time...

i have two sperate lists, one where i put done all the things i must get and another where i get as bargains when i haven't bought alot in a while. i'm mainly hitting the first priorities as the eBay list is fairly full, though i need to update it now, damn it

went to bromley today and had a little look around, i saw all the colour sin city figures including long haired nancy and marv for £10.75 but i now only want the b/w versions which the guy had sold out of. had a chat about how he thought the case packing wasn't all the great as people want the b/w versions and selling only half a case won't warrant him getting more in. went to woolworths and again, nothing new though i was tempted by sp helm's deep aragorn which has the best likeness out of all the figures of the king but passed, haha

dunno when i'll be in london next, i'm saving up for that london film and comic con at the end of the month which is probably why i'm refraining from bargain buying (hopefully there'll b bargains there, haha)

It's worth checking out. Not quite TRU scale, but two floors. Generally have some very cheap stuff. Particularly lego. Not a massive range of figs though, and I've never seen McF there.

its the bison you see in sfII and capcom vs snk

basically we call the alpha bison, "fat" bison. in sf alpha 3 has fat body was destroyed and hes "being" was transferred to a brand new body thanks to the pyscho drive (or something like that, i dunno the details but basically old fat body destroyed, transferred to new thin body). although the costume is the same, the actual body is different, in sfII hes taller and leaner and he can't throw fireballs (body isn't powerful enough, supposedly)

so theres my quick and somewhat inaccurate understanding of it

i'll probably pop down to fp next week when i c batman begins and spend depending on how my eBay sales go (put some dbz figures up in 2day if theres any interest) and how MY bids items turn out

Went along to the FP sale today. A bit disappointing really. FP sale prices are a lot like everywhere else's normal prices. Did pick up the Giger Li sculpture for £15. God-awful paintjob, of course - the reason I'd always refused to pay over £20 for it despite being a life-long Giger enthusiast. I'll be getting to work on it with the airbrush when I have time. Unfortunately they didn't have the Now Playing variant I wanted - the Nightmare Demon with machine gun and helmeted spare head. Just about every other combination though!

They'd sold out of the two M4 figs I wanted - Muffet and Red. Oddly there were tons of Gretels but only one Humpty remaining. Humpty actually looks way better in person than I'd expected - I can actually see myself buying it at some point (if I can find it reduced). Peter looks pretty good too. Was slightly disappointed with Hansel. They can all wait for clearance though. I've ordered the girls at my local comic shop.

Also bought Toxic from the new LDD series ready for my girlfriend's birthday in August. Really nice looking doll - I can see them selling out quickly.

yeah. its not absolutely bargain buys there but much better than usual days. there was a robocop for 10.50 too. i didnt get the giger for the same reason. the paint was pretty tatty. and i overspent. so i had to pass on that one.
weirdly the MM4 line...the best sculpts has the worst paints and vice versa. humpty does look better in life. but still i dont buy that idea. and he's pack 1 and the rest 2. so hes the shortpacked one.

its that Superman/Batman #11 litho/print i mentioned earlier. i got it from herofix which are situated in canada. i dunno if you saw it when u went to that crap comic con but there were people selling similar michael turner prints for about the same price i got this one including shipping (£27 - a little ouchy but i needed a nice professional print for my wall). these things must be hard to find as they are a) expensive and b) gets loads of bids. the more sort after ones with dc women such as catwoman or the superchick that was in the superman godfall arc went for alot more then what i paid. i personally love the fiery shaow of superman and wonder woman's in it. and gotta love michael turner's batman. i dunno if the signatures are authentic and/or printed as these dc lithos don't come with certificates unlike the aspen ones as michael doesn't own the images but the auction claims that they are actual signed so i take their word for it. if the guys at the collectors mart are at this months london con, i'll probably ask them

off to see batman begins 2morro and to see if the bleach wave 2 have arrived. i have them saved if they are. i've seen pictures and abarai renji looks damn cool

they send it using 2 poster tubes, one thick, one thin. pretty secure and it was wrapped in a cellophane type bag so that it wouldn't get ruined when i removed it from the poster tube. its not actually that big, 13" (32.5 cm) by 19" (47.5 cm) but it gets the job done

there will be a turner bats supposedly in the identity crisis wave 2 based on his designs. its supposedly a bronze age version in blue and grey with oval bat symbol on chest, his appearance portrayed during the time elongated man's wife was raped, some of the justice league members at the time taking sides to mind wipe her rapist and mind wiping batman who caught them in the act. michael turner has drawn that style batman for a wizard cover but i can't find it

saw batman begins 2day, man, that movie was awesome. out of all the directors, tim burton didn't get it, joel schumacher never had it but christopher nolan understood it, completely. i was not bored during any minute of it. reviews are stating how slow the first hour of the movie is but i disagree. being a comic book fan and recent dc reader due to the HUSH arc, i wanted to see the origin, i wanted to see bruce wayne's journey which ultimately led him to decide to take the role of the dark knight. and you'll b amazed when you see the bat-tumbler is action. all in all, i want one, hahaha. maybe they'll do a hot wheels version like the 1989 movie batmobile they released.

and when i got home, i received the second part of my eBay haul. for £18 including shipping:

and atriot, finally found this. its the wizard cover michael turner did. most people believe the batman that is rumoured to be released in id crisis wave 2 will look like this. rag morales did the art of id crisis. he's been put in wizard's top 10 artists for many months, but i think his characters are irregular from panel to panel too often and is therefore overrated

Saw Batman Begins Yesterday. I thought it was better than all the rest but the fights scenes were hectic.They were way too fast and flashy...

...I thought the Scarescrow could have had a bigger part and I think the film should have been at least a 15.

I really wenjoyed it though. So The Joker (and Scarecrow) will be in the sequel?

the good news for street fighter fans is that these two new eternal challenge variants don't contain the minor errors that the retail version contained, is printed on 100lb stock paper as opposed to 50lb stock and is hard cover bound. plus autographs from both ikeno (artist of first cover) and shinkiro (artist of second cover). but at $80, imo, its hardly worth getting it the second time

the akuma bust looks good and i'm glad its not just a repaint of the standard akuma with the addition of the added snarl and different kanji character. theres also an ultra secret variant but i have no idea what it is...the bust is $50 btw

saw the fantastic four figures in woolworths, well 2 of them anyway from series one, mr fantastic and the human torch

At the moment all I know is that NECA is focusing on the Resident Evil 4 game. Unfortunatly for you there were no lickers in it but there were some other pretty twisted and bizzare creatures. The only ones I have seen are Ada and Salvador (Chainsaw guy). At a guess I would say that Leon would make the lineup as well as Jack Krasuer or Ashley Maybe?

I hope they make a boxset of one of the monsters too. That would make my year. ('The Thing' boxset will already make my year!).

resident evil 4, man. i saw the pics of salvador earlier on the neca site as well as pics at e3 (i think i posted that pic earlier but can't remember...). ada looks great, i have seen other pictures of the supposed-to-have-been-dead-in-re2 dame and yeah, the neck looks kinda long. nec@ will sort it out, i have faith. i read somewhere that the series I line up might be leon, ada, salvador and verdugo. verdugo is salazar's "right hand" and looks pretty cool. i can't find pictures of him though. i still need to complete it, i think i'm stuck, so many enemies and not enough ammo

okay so i got my exams results 2day and they were better then i expected (the exams imo didn't go too well and i thought i'd failed a few, luckily i didn't). and so i wanted to get a figure to celebrate my joy and got Sin City Hartigan B/W from gosh comics at £9.99, watched sin city yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the story telling

Was just in Forbidden Planet. They have a huge stack of the Giger sculptures @ £15 if anyone's after one. A few more bits and pieces have turned up in the sale too- though nothing I really needed.
The Jenna Jameson Halloween figs have also turned up. I like them in spite of their tackiness. I think I'll pick one of them up - just have to decide which (the Plastic Fantasy website is very funny and didn't help me decide at all!).

Yup "fully detailed". Check the Plastic Fantasy website (obviously not work safe) - you can mouse-over each of the figs to see them in the buff. Some look more plastic than others.

I can almost justify adding a JJ fig to the collection since she seems to be trying to make it in horror movies now. I can claim she's a Movie Maniac. And yes, the witchy one was the one I like best too.

Other stuff in the sale was little things all over the place - yellow stickers turned up in the Buffy section, a few Kubricks etc

Loads of Dragons (£8.50 somehow still feels too much) including the box set (£18.50). Lots of SW figs, some for 49p! I picked up the Jabba's palace figs with the Bomaar Monk for £7. Also grabbed a couple of mini Transformers for my son for £2. Some more X-men and ML figs have turned up - I noticed Captain America( £8) and Wolverine Weapon-x(£6). Got my Jenna fig too (went for the witchy one, turns out it was the last - still loads of the red one though). May post pics later if I have time.

Incidentally, Comic Showcase have Monsters4 in at £10.99 - chepest bricks and mortar price I've seen.

all in all, great day. tons of places to get figures for less then £10 each, i saw some MM7 for £5 (leatherface, jessica biel etc etc). saw all cult classics figures, cheapest being £10, street fighter series 2 ranging from £5 - £10, loads of recent buffy figures. if you compare this to the national collectors mart, this has more figures and merchandise then it had comics (though took a break during the middle to get my usual comics at the orbital and to fp london but the prices in the con were cheaper so headed back for a second round, btw tenjou tenge aya natsume BOME figure for £17.99 *cough*eBay it*cough*)

anyone planning to go 2morro, go. you'll possibly get new dealers and it may be busier with many people having a day off 2morro but there are loads of figure dealers, mainly look for "a place in space" and "incognito comics" if you can find them

as for LFCC, how much older are you talking about, atriot? there were a few places that had older movie maniacs like incognito comics with t-800 and evil ash for £6.00, some of the mcfarlane japanimation figures for £6.00 also. there was also a place which had some older dc direct stuff, especially from the superman waves including superman and cyborg supes but all of their prices were scalper type and something you wouldn't see from dealers at these places. the place is quite large, and there are loads of dealers, as i said. having said that, my friend and i managed to quickly go through the stalls in 2 hours, occassionally stopping if we saw something good, the second time we went round we just took random routes.

to drag a friend, see if they like anyone from the guest list at http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/, try val kilmer or ron perlman, although i've heard ron perlman wasn't very interested. the ones lower down the list are said to be more friendly and allow chit-chat but i didn't have much time to try (or much courage, i'll learn my lesson for next year). other then dealers, theres not an awful lot more to see, theres talks that are listed on the site. i'd personally go see adam baldwin's talk because i've heard he's a nice guy, but he hasn't been in much, i only know him for his episodes on Angel. theres a lot of movie props that your friend can see when they go straight in. theres a i-robot replica, a replica of the green goblin helmet, a suit from rid****, bullet shells from mi-2, glasses worn by tom cruise in mission impossible etc etc, things like that. oh and freebies, get as much as you can. my friend took a whole pile of fantastic four posters because no one was guarding them, hahahaha

btw whats IP? you've mentioned it before but i just nodded along, sorry, hahahaha. i'm trying to put a name to it...

haha, thanks for the pics, i still think that you have loads of rooms for more clam shell carded goodness but it'll fill up if you buy more KOTO SW stuff, hahaha. i actually find willis' likeness better then alba's on both her figures. still need to find b/w hair flowing nancy for a decent price. the colour figures don't look too bad.

i agree, open up your DV, its all parts in the box and doesn't look great, it demands to be opened and built, man!

Iv'e really started something...I said to myself that I would not buy any of the Kotos but I saw the Darth on Play.com for £49.99 and I just had to buy it. Its excellent, the qaulity is top notch and it just darn cool. The problem is that now I want ALL the rest...

Yeah I know what ya mean, there just a tad too expensive for what they are. Is it because they have to be imported from Japan? I'd say a good price for them would be around the £35-£40 mark? I just want more!!!!!! Mwha!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

yeah sometiems they do. but its cool that their prices are delivered. even their fx lightsabers are quite cheap.

i like how koto sculpts their cape...might be a bit dramatic at times but just looks really cool to me :D

90 dlvd. you dont even need to spend moeny on fuel or travel or anything. it jus plops in front of your door :pi prefer the anakin one this time round actually. i was holding the old vader one and the hilt actually feels quite bulky. the new one feels great though ;)

i own an appleseed duenan figure


been leavig her on display on my shelf for a few weeks since i touched her coz i got her in a cool position.

today i tried to pose her to carry my RPG from the soldiers boxset to shoot a pic

upon trying to mmove her left arm, the joints in the left elbow cracked and the left hand came off!!!


its not broken but the whole joint kinda rumbled to powdery plastic :(


must have rotted

Thats the exact reason I decided to get him last. I bought Nancy, Gail and Hartigan (Colour Chase variants) all off Play.com becasue I knew they would sell out the fastest. They have only manute and Yellow Bastard for 9.99 (which is a good price imo). All the rest are £13.99 I think?

I'll get him later just to complete series 1. Btw Yellow Bastard looks awesome. It looks exactly like in the movie and it just looks so damn cool (creepy?)!

i should think that these kind of figures should be around £2.99 - £3.99 (well for the regular ones anyway). any more is just extortionate. i doubt mass retail will have them while i think forbidden planet would charge about £4.99 or more. its crazy, trading figures in japan are approx. 300Yen = £1.50 and from what i can tell, these are of the same kind of quality. i think if toybiz wrapped them with plastic and sold them in a case instead of blistered them, we may have been cheaper. they are nothing more then fancy packaged trading figures

Was in town yesterday. saw Bome kirasaki mai figs both red n green in FP. 15 quid. not bad. also cult classics. and scarface too. fist of north star....the fella with the crossbow. sonsaku hakafu prepainted pvc (not quite nice as wat bome did to TT figs). some price drop on ML8 captain and ironman.

yeah. its so weird that the packaging andother bits cost so much for basically a gashpon, therefore jacking up the price. i think the main point of trading figure/gashpons are their affordability. maybe the marvel quality is better....hmm just got to wait n see....
there was some pretty cool marvel gashas from japan werent they. i was quite tempted to get the firs tn 2nd series. :o
