hey guys, a london meeting without me?!?! how...how could you?? hahaha, j/k, nice grab from atriot you got there knightjar. mayb one day i'll meet you both, you can get me a figure each for dismissing me and then i'll decide whether or not to forgive you, hehe

finally decided that I will get the Sentinel from ML10 (i only need 6 out of 7) so i went to my local ASDA as somes cleared them out! they only had Mr Sinister, Cyclops and Mystique. so i grabbed the two i needed. when i went on thursday, they had omega red, angel and black panther *sigh*. i have another ASDA close to me but I don't know how to get there but i will be going next week, so hopefully i can complete my Sentinel. anybody got a complete one yet?

the supe/shazam is pretty good. the story feels pretty "lite" though. maybe it's jus a soft start...
I saaw the new GR too... i liked the effect on GR but the restof the humans/angels facial proportions jjust dont seem right :p

i enjoyed "supes/shazam", was a nice read, i don't read much captain marvel but hes a good character, stronger then superman by a hair (and magic thunder). i didn'tpick up ghost rider, not much of a fan but i will watch the movie when it comes out (mayb on DVD)

i've seen all 12 standard episodes and the 3 OVAs so far, poor manaka, gets sucked into an all- girl's school and gets accused of being a pervert. 1 more OVA and thats it (isn't it)

visited my asda today after work....no ML.....doesn't look like i'm gonna find them cheap, so i bought another 3 that i need on the bay.....mystique, angel and cyclops. worked out at about 30 quid.

also....just bought 23 spawn comics for 20 quid. i'm embarking on a new mission to snag all spawn-related comics ever made, i doubt i'll ever succeed but it'll be a bit of a distraction. add those 23 to the 1 i already have! :D

hey everyone, I have been speaking to a seller on ebay about ordering some guyver figures from him and having them sent to the UK.
The figures would be sent from Hong Kong and I have already traded with this ebayer, as I bought my 3 guyvers from him as did my brother with fast delivery, good communications and with no problems what so ever
He said that if I were to get a few of us together in the UK that would want the guyver dark and the ne-zxtole or both then he would be able to give us a discount price.

There's slight bleed of paint on wolvie, in the face and mask area, but nothing too terrible i think.
Claws on his right arm seems to not be pointing at the right direction but its just a minor quibble. I aint trying to push lead claws around. Dont wanna be left with a 2 claw wolverine :D
The effort to create his hairy arms looks kinda weird up close (like he's got moss growing on his upper arm :p ). but looks fine from far.

I like the pose and design. like the solid "feel" of the figure.

It's really small, I'd say 3-4" at best, I'd rather they came unpainted, I'd have a great go at painting them and could probably do better.

yeah. batman is kind out of his character kinda. It's much too "miller"-ish. I just look at it as a "different take" on the character and story and have to leave some other older bats concept behind. *spoiler* that spread where the batmobile transform was pretty awesome :p and the Alfred+Vale panel looks like some cover for a soft porn/romance novel :D

ahhhh! about that no pick up thing. i actually gave up and told the seller to check how much combined postage is.... but she accidentally left me a bad feedback!!?! ahhhh. please tell me we can retract that.... to make up for it she's giving em to me for free !! :eek: ... actully i won em for pretty much close to nothing anyways. :p
I geuss it's a good lesson for sellers to not start items way below what they want for it unless they are know perfectly well it's a big gamble and could blow up right back at them. :(

i haven't read Ex Machina and not too familiar with it but Brian K Vaughan is a pretty good writer. i'm reading his Ultimate X-Men run and although not as good as Mark Millar's, the latest ish is a pretty good read

yep, Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine, set after the incidents of ultimates 2. Artwise, Leinil Francis Yu is doing the chores. hes done Superman: Birthright, did many issues of X-Men and Wolverine comics before his last (New X-Men 2001 annual) and he's also doing a book at the moment called "Silent Dragon"

ultimates v1 and v2 are excellent reads, marvel are doing an "Ultimate Avengers" straight-to-DVD animated movie which will be based on volume 1, no trailer of it yet but expected to be shown with f4 movie DVD. and your right in saying authority

although i've never read it, the cover art for "silent dragon" looks good. for me, i really liked his art in the new x-men annual 2001. the inker "simplified" his art in superman birthright but its a good read

i did read the 2 issues that were the prelude to house of M but the first one dealt with the ending of a story arc (didn't read anything before it so was completely lost) and the second one didn't reveal alot which wasn't shown at the start of HoM, so i could have done without it and still not lost any knowledge

For ages I've been wanting a Spawn i.88 and a Spawn VII, and I could never find one for either a decent price or one which would ship to here( damn yanks) and finally off of the bay I'm getting my Spawn i.88 ( unmasked though, urgh!) and my Spawn VII, it's like my Spawn grail!!!! I'll hopefully get both through this week and I'll try get some pics on saturday using my mate's camera.

I got my Spawn i.88 just there, like five minutes ago, and it kicks so much arse, it has crazy articualtion for a Spawn figure ( 1oth Anni. maybe) but it's awesomeness!!!!!!!! I'm actually glad I got unmasked , it looks much cooler with the way the cloak covers his face. All I gotta do now is, 1 find space for him, 2 keep him from falling over.

It depends what i can find and how much i want the figures... If im looking for a certain figure line but i can only find 1 or 2 of them i'll buy them, then pick the rest up when i see them next. But if i like the figures alot, like SF Series 4 in your example, i already have them pre-ordered so i know ill get them all at once :)

1. extra transportation costs to travel to & fro

2. risk of not getting the figures again that u passed up in the first place , and forced to buy from ebay

how many types of accents are there? The one that I hear all the time are spoken by usually the young british blacks at universtiy (and sometimes Indians trying to sound like that). I couldnt understand what they were going on about.

Okay I just opened Spawn VII and did a really rough paint job, just to make it look overall better. But, it feels like it's made of polystyrene!!!!! That being a really crappy material compared to all the other Spawn figures. But all in all, coolest.spawn.ever.

Nice haul Graham, although I feel the Sony PSP so far is slightly overrated in terms of enjoyment value. I have one and I've had it since May but I'm disappointed by the selection of games. Not that theres a limited amount of games, it's just there isn't alot that I wouldn't see myself playing. Alot of sports games and I've never been into them. Theres a lack of platformers and good beat-em-ups. Luckily, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Double Upper will be out soon as well as GTA and Irregular Hunter X. And I'll make my first UMD movie FFVII Advent Children when that comes out in January (anyone seen it yet?)

I've always wanted a Spawn VII but never had the space for one. Am I mistaken by saying there's never been an officially named "Spawn VIII" figure, although we've had so many since VII?

That's what I was thinking cos I've got I, V and VII, so I might coolect all the "Spawn ( enter no.) figures, so what happened after VII? I think the idea of a new official Spawn figure is excellent.


My friend should hopfully bring his camera down on saturday after we go towning, so I'll get some pics then, although it ain't much of a repaint, but considering the original paint job, then it's okay.

Oh and I'm getting a deapool ( I already got a thread on it) off of ebay, I'll hopefully get it soon (ish, I paid first class!!)

Now that I'm at Uni, I can't help but go into town afterwards and hit FP or A1 to see what they've got, so as soon as say, Series 28 hits, I'll be picking some things up, although this will mean I have feth all money to go out drinking or whatever.

well, i love it.....maybe it's the novelty value having only had it for just over a day, but i think it's a great piece of kit.....was just watching revenge of the sith earlier...... :D

i've got burnout legends and virtua tennis, both great games IMO....but i guess if you're not into sports games.....got a bunch of UMD movies for it as well, watched once upon a time in mexico at 1am this morning..... :D

Glad you like your new piece of tech, I loved it when I first got it. I'll probably pick it up again when I get a new game. I only have a 512MB Mem Stick so any full movies need to be low quality and conversion takes a while to convert to mp4

btw theres packaged pictures of the Friday 13th set

and theres a new Star Wars Figurine Set in the same tone as the Marvel one. May check out the Jedi and Sith of these but I'm gonna be so broke...

dr doom was in ML2, and the doombot variant was re-realeased with ML8......he's a ***** to track down though.....it'll be cheaper to get the marvel select one. that's what i did. but i'd still snap up the ML given the chance. :D

That Cable you described is pretty obscure. When I first saw him, I thought he looked alot like X-Man (Nate Grey). Because of the popularity of Cable (or lack of), I don't think we'll see much of him but X-Man on the other hand may see the light of day

I'd rather get the Marvel Select Doom then the Legends one. The Select one has a better looking mask and a freaking throne. I rarely see much of ML2 on eBay apart from human torch.

Nate Grey was Cable or rather another world kind of Cable, it's only really in the Deadpool and Cable comics ( that's what it should be called:D ) that I've seen Cable young.


So if they make and X-Man, (who was so cool!!!) then that'd effectively be a young Cable.

The current look of cable in the ML line is awful, I've never liked the look at all.

yeah. definately the Select Doom. The doombot goes for more than the Select doom sometimes :eek:

actually ML are supposed to kinda cheaper than the regular specialty figures. more catered towards mass market. but when it gets to UK the prie jus becomes :eek: so they aint as worth it.
like back in Malaysia a regular McF fig costs RM50 (or RM60 if its movie maniacs or music). ML retails for around 29.900 RM. so i think it's kinda u pay for wat u get. and for a few instances u get more than ur money's worth (bike's, bases, accesories, etc not forgetting those free poster books :p )

btw I was the Dr. Octopus Marvel figurines today. the box is bigger than the earlies issues to fit his tentacles but I am not as impressed as the prev figs. Maybe I aint keen on Dc Ock in the first place :p

but i cant find the star wars figurine!!!! :(

As for Marvel legneds they only cost like £8-£10 each, which as we brits should kno wis damn good for toys, I mean proper cheap.

Yeah the teleporter would've been cool. I got issue 20 today, pretty cool, a bit short, but the BAD girls add that needed "lift":D

I also picked up a limited edition of Appleseed the anime, came in a cool metal tin and I got the Demons and Wizards album, touched by the Crimson King, pretty good album.

Yeah, I saw Cult Classics II on Thursday. I saw one Freddy without the hat and alternate head in the package, hehe. NECA have used some pretty flimsy clamshells, most of the ones I saw were badly deformed

As for Alex Ross Justice, I went to every comic store last Thursday and none had actually got them in. Must have been a shipping error because FP only had Batman (at £15.99, total rip). So hopefully I'll finally get one this Wednesday.
