they did bring the Kaiyado trigun in this year which i gladly grabbed. sadly they sold out quickly as i wanted vash too.
TMP goes for around 9.99 - 12.99 for the regular stuff.
i try not to get em new here as they cost around 6.99 each back home.

The FP in Glasgow is pretty pants though, as is A1, well for Spawn stuff anyway, they never have any of the older stuff, I'm gonna see if the Dream in Eastkilbride, just next to Glasgow, can order stuff in for me, cos I really want Spawn VII, it's so kewl.

HMV used to sell loads of figures, mainly movie stuff. now though, they only have a few niobe figures they only put out when there's a sale on.....but nobody buys them. i may buy one out of sympathy next time i see them.

Last Friday I ordered Evil Ryu from SOTA, but it had a state/province thing going on, and I just put in UK, cos we don't have a system for that up here. But I'll hopefully get it at around Jan 10th, here's hoping. But I just clocked on to a great way to get hard to find figs from America!!! My dad lives in LA, if he ever visits us he'll tell us about two weeks in advance, so I'll just email him, give him a picture and name of something I really can't find here and hopefully he'll find it for me!!!

Shipping was $22!!!! the figure only cost $12!!! But with the exchange rate at nearly 2.0 dollars to pounds, you can make a killing on the net, buy stuff now, cos in total Evil Ryu cost me £18 and that's shipping included. Normal SF retail at about £13, so £5 shipping ain't bad.

the normal blanka looks great.....the whole line looks great. just this exclusive irks me somewhat. i know i'll end up buying it, and maybe it'll look better in the flesh, but it just looks cheap.

as for the two pack? it's risky.....sure you'll save on shipping, but you need to be careful with the customs charges. if customs pick your package to check, and value it at over £18 (and one set on its own is), then you'll get hit for extra money. if it wasn't for that, i'd be interested. :(

only ever had one package checked....luckily it was only a video. :D

Radioactive Blanka looks bad, but I'll still buy him, I'm rather fond of Blanka as I always used him as a kid when playing SF, now I tend just to go for Vega or good old Ryu. But as for the two pack, do you mean get a chracter each, or buy two and share shipping, I presume you mean the latter as the first is really, really stupid. It depends on when they get more back in stock, but don't put my name down for anything.

i preordered ryu, bison and sagat from forbidden planet international (http://www.scifiwarehouse.com) way back in june and i may do the same for ken, blanka and verga. i got chun li at forbidden planet london when i had the spare cash and i only recently got sodom on ebay for £6.99 inc shipping

when i go for figures, i skip all the mass market department type stores like woolworths and just go to comic shops or speciality stores even though they rn't the cheapest. if you live in london, forbidden planet in shaftesbury av is a must but their prices have jacked up since moving from new oxford street (due to rent). for a cheaper alternative, i also check out comicbook showcase in charing cross rd, where the tend to have some new figures now and then, usually dc direct for £10.99 each. for import trading figures and gashapon, i go to the orbital which is also where i go to get manga.

other then those where i get new releases, i usually just get older figures from ebay like older marvel legends, things i missed or see for cheap

I never bothered getting all of Series 1, so far I've only got Ryu, Sagat, and Evil Ryu in the post, I'll get Bison when I find him, but I'm not sure about Chun Li, same goes for Cammy, skinny figures are ruined by articulation. But I don't preorder them, A1 has plenty of them, Sagat seems to be the peg warmer as they say, but he's like one of the best of the series, I though Sodom wouldn't sell, he licks balls. Series 4 though will be awesome, but right now I'll only buy one figure when it's released, AKUMA!!!!!!!

I'd think that the translucent is just the Blanka variant, whereas the glow in the dark is the Series Exclusive, like Evil Ryu for series one. What will Akuma's varinat be in series 4, cos him in another colour will look wierd, he only looks cool in black.

have you just recently signed up? if so....then you will have paid a small amount to sign up. this will appear on your next, or most recent, bank statement....along with a code which you enter on paypal. this lifts all the buying and selling limits.

"I GOT MY EVIL RYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It kicks so much posterior, the best in the line yet, I wasn;'t gonna open it, but four hours later I opened it, it's just too cool. Even the symbol on the back isn't that bad. I kept the little card insert for it though, just cos it's Evil Ryu. But, but but but, the right arm joint is loose, but nothing too bad, atleast I got one. The box they sent it in was fething massive, you could fit like the entire series into the box!!! It was addressed to my mum though, so I didn't even know what it was, but eventually curiosity took hold and I opened it. Now all I'm waiting on is 12" Mandy.

went to fp, nothing impressive since i last went which is a damn shame. they've filled up their class cabinets to the brim and it makes me so envious that i don't have enough money (or space) to get some of the cooler items in there. ml8 are still present, no hellboy 1.5 and no sf2, damn shame

i got trigun vash the stampede and evil ryu off ebay. the only reason i got evil ryu coz u guys were making me jealous as its the only other sota street fighter figure i wanted and didn't have :p. i got evil ryu for £17.57 inc shipping while vash was £14.79. not bad considering ones an exclusive and the others a japanese import, now i just need to find a cheap place for gungrave - beyond the grave

and Street Fighter Eternal Challenge is a sweet book, tons of artwork and canon story for every character from II to III including evil ryu

yeah i only work on a sunday as i'm busy during the week. i work at a small sainsburys supervising 6 - 7 checkouts, u wouldn't believe how busy it is on a sunday, nobody has anything else to do except shop 4 groceries :S, at least its 1.5 pay per hour which helps fund my collectors addiction

i got the SF Eternal Challenge at orbital comics, i have a friend who works there. they've recently moved store location and are probably the cheapest when it comes to comics in london. the book was £0.49 cheaper :D and i always preferr to help the independant companies then fp with comics and comic related books. you should get it, its £22.99 in fp and i thought it'd b more expensive, around the £30 mark

re superman/batman, yeah the superman seems to have some shiny paint (and captain atom, but theres a reason), have no idea why. i will have to see if i can get a full set when shops start ordering off previews next week, i'm not gonna miss even one of these suckers. they are gonna have the standard 10 points articulation according to julius marx even if the protos don't show it

speaking of julius marx, he's got one of the deluxe batmans from mattel previewed if anyone is interested. he believes there's three versions of the super-poseable batmans, just hope we see them soon

i need to read the kia asamiya batman, though after reading so much manga and watching different anime, he's artwork doesn't look as good as when i first saw it (he had a disappointing uncanny x-men run which was over hyped)

all dc direct figures are around £11.99 - £15.99. comic showcase will usually have them at £10.99 while gosh comics being next cheapest at £11.99 - £13.99 as they individually price their figures. never buy dc direct from fp london, £15.99 isn't worth it, even their staff go elsewhere as to get them as their discount doesn't even make them cheap, dc direct are releasing so much good stuff that i think they'll over power my marvel legends

postman has just been.....hellboy 1.5 anung un rama and officer kroenen......pretty good figures. kroenen is a huge improvement over the original figure, anung un rama is a little disappointing struggling to get the flames to stay on the horns AND look good.

thats a pretty gd price, there are still some hellboy 1.5 at the cinema store but mainly the ones you just got. i did see those two cut in price, the anung un rama for £11.95 and Abe for £9.95. the shirtless one and the kronen were still £14.95 while the BD was sold out

lucy liu was slated for series I but there was a problem with the approval of the likeness so NECA had to pull it out last minute. it was shown at toy fair last year if i can remember correctly. i doubt it will ever show up, along with series II. shame, i really liked the figure, had a nice likeness and would have added more variety into the first series

yeah, i did feel that £40 for a 12 inch figure was a bit much. still, i dunno, i find it easier going to comic shops then say woolworths or toys r us because i have more local comic shops then those around me, especially in london. i mean, it'd be great if they stocked more because it'd be better for most people to find what they want at cheaper prices. action figures for collectors then kids is a big enough art in the uk, i guess

i think the 12" retail for around 29.99 usually....so maybe they are preparing to drop half price one em...so they can sell em for 19.99...thats when i would get the pred :p
It's easier to get new figs from specialty stores...but bargains are hard to come by....u know sometimes theres jus this figure that u "might buy if the price was right" kinda thing. i find it tough to look for figs in London though. Only central enough to visit is FP...sometimes cinema. sometimes comic showcase...other than that i am stuck.
there's this place in edgeware though...but thats wayyyyy up on the northern line...and another small one in ealing...

yeah they have pretty nice bargains and their prices are usually reasonable...
the best bargains was when I went to their shop. picked up a ML wolverine, Ult thor and land of Oz toto for 12 pounds from their discount bin! :eek:

cool haul Graham,

went around london today, tried to get a mattel batman/superman twin pack from argos for £4.99 but they were out of stock so i went back to forbidden planet to get KUBRICK BATMAN MOVIE "BATMAN" for £9.99. this is the first kubrick i have and although it was steep, i bought it in gd reason, i'll post it opened later with the so called reason

i also got DBZ Posing Figure Furiza Saga Part 2, the latest in one of my favourite trading figures in a while. the anime may have tured sour but unifive keep cranking these out. i dunno if u guys have any interest in dbz so no close up pics

all in all, all japanese haul today and its only part 1, :D

i got the hot wheels die cast batmobile for my bday and it looked kinda lonely so i decided to get a small block figure batman but couldn't decide which one. most of the ones on eBay came from hong kong so shipping would still have been expensive. i then stumbled across the movie batman kubrick. as the batmobile is a replica from the batman movie, it was a perfect match. i think it looks kinda cool on display like that (i think my picture taking skills r getting better, woowee)
