Current KORN drummer Ray Luzier let the cat out of the bag during a recent interview and revealed that his band would be headlining the summer festival. Meanwhile, ThePRP is reporting that Rob Zombie will headline the festival as well, which makes perfect sense seeing as though he is about to put an album out.

Meanwhile, Jamey Jasta was a little more subtle about HATEBREED being on the bill. When speaking to Metal Mark, he said "We're gonna be on a very big summer tour, which I just can't say just yet, but most people will probably guess." Now, he could also mean Ozzfest, which is rumored to be returning next summer.

How do you guys feel about these initial announcements? Who would you like to see on the bill?
Im cool with Korn,RZ,and Hatebreed being there.
As far as my wish list,
FFDP (Yeah I said it )
Motograter (new album coming)
Hell Yeah (new album next year)
Down (tell me that wouldnt be awesome!Down & Hell yeah on the same tour)
Machine Head
Testament
Life Of Agony
Bile
Seven Dust
Mushroomhead
Sepultura/Soulfly/Cavalera Conspiracy (one big dream jam!)

That is the worst lineup in the history of the world, and it would ensure my presence would be elsewhere. Seriously, Korn, Rob Zombie and Hatebreed on the same bill would transmit tremors of suck cascading across the country so severe, it would make 2012 look like a lazy Sunday afternoon. Plus, it wouldn't even be remotely possible to get Hell Yeah and Down on the same bill when you can't even get Phil and Vinnie in the same room. I know its a dream lineup, but even that is so far past the realm of possibility that it's ridiculous. The only decent band on that list is Testament, and I would much rather leave my state to see them with Megadeth and Slayer. Speaking of Megadeth, there's a band I would LOVE to see on Mayhem, especially since I have no idea when we'll see Gigantour again, if ever. So here would be my lineup consisting solely of bands who have yet to grace the Mayhem festival.

Main
Megadeth
Lamb of God
Avenged Sevenfold
Children of Bodom

Jager
Unearth
In Flames
Between the Buried and Me
Necrophagist
All Shall Perish

Hot Topic
Meshuggah
Gojira
Nevermore
Nile
After the Burial

Man, you need a breather or two in there. How about Katatonia? There is no good reason Katatonia isn't known in the US.

Yeah, Katatonia is a good band, but I'm trying to appeal to a larger fanbase, and you're right, there is no good reason why they aren't better known.

Yeah, but regardless whether you like them or not, they're a huge band that is at least marginally heavy (read: Dragonforce, Bullet for my Valentine from previous Mayhems). They will attract a lot of fans, especially kids, and kids buy merch. Well, their parents buy them merch, but still.
