Arrow ***Official Home Theatre and/or Gaming Setup thread***

Please post you setups.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I enjoy seeing what others have done with their living rooms and game rooms.

Get those cameras out and lets see some impressive little setups.

Ready, set, GOOOOOOOO!!!

-Samsung 61" DLP
-Xbox360 w/HDDVD Player, wireless racing wheel, and Harmony 360 remote (very cool)
-Nintendo Wii
-Sony Receiver w/HDMI passthrough
-Sony Playstation 3
-Sony 400 disk DVD player
-Ipod HiFi
-Directv HD Receiver

I'm in the process of getting rid of my Samsung Receiver/DVD changer and running new speaker wire through the attic to use my new Sony receiver. The Samsung only had one fiber optic audio input and that just wasn't getting it done. Plus I was interested in teh HDMI passthrough that the sony made available.

My small living-room setup, we're thinking about moving everything to a bigger room in the front of the house - if we do I'll take new pics.
Equipment:
Toshiba 57HX83 57" RPTV
Motorola 6412 HD- DVR hooked up via component cable (service by Comcast)
Denon DVD-1910 upscaling DVD player hooked up via DVI cable
XBox 360 core system with HDD hooked up via component cable
Onkyo HTS570 5.1 surround sound system (HTIB)

My stuff is over at avsforum for sure. My username over there is Trendy8, I haven't updated my pics over there in a while though - I think it's from my old apartment still (which was actually a nicer setup and a lot larger room). I enjoy browsing the galleries over there as well, some of those guys have just the sickest equipment you could possibly dream of and amazing dedicated theater rooms. I end up getting really envious but it's great to get ideas for what I'd like to build some day.

Nah, I've never been there before. I'll have to check it out!

I need to get my racing seat out of the back room and take some pics...the female won't let me keep it in the living room.

Got a Playseat for my Wireless racing wheel to mount on...this thing is BAD

I might take some picutres of my entertainment center later, when it doesn't look like a big heap of crap. In the mean time I'll post a link to the HDTV I have. What sucks about this, when I bought in May, it cost me $400 more than it's listed now on Best Buy's website.

My gaming/sports room is under serious construction so these pics are rough to say the least but heres an overview of most of the stuff I have until the UPS man hooks me up with the rest. (also please excuse the god awful camera)

Heres the Mcfarlane Wall...still got some serious work to do here as I'm about 7 series behind what has to go up. The 2nd picture is another shot of the wall but it's got the fathead that also needs to get put up one of these days just gotta move some light switches around to make things work how I want them to.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354253
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354382

This is my pride and joy....keeps all my friends grubby hands from looting my fridge. For those not familiar it's basically just a standard vending machine that maytag puts out but it's got customizable side and front panels so you can outfit it with your favorite sports team

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354481

Heres my gaming stuff...just a ton of controllers that I have no place for and my games/movies. Right now I'm just looking for a good storage device because as it stands I just have random stacks of games and movies littered throughout the room.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354774
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354901

And heres what I play on/with

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167358560
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1167354998

TV - Samsung HLS-7178W
Service - Dish Network HD DVR
Receiver - Yamaha HTR-6090
Systems - PS3, Xbox360, Wii

I still got a ton of work left. I gotta hang like 100 more figures, have no dvd/game rack, wire management is AWFUL, and surround sound should hopefully be here a bit after the new year

It's probably the smartest purchase I've made in a while. I just didn't want people running all through my house or more importantly me running all through my house everytime someone wanted something to drink/eat. So now I try to keep that stocked up with different drinks etc and all the food is down below in the stand. When I have people over for football games etc it's a lifesaver.

After painting and completely switching two different rooms around over the last 24 hours here's what mine looks like today:

I love it - it's probably a couple feet greater viewing distance, I'm in love with the rust color on the walls, everything's just better all around. Total cost for the remodel, excluding $25 Home Depot gift card, was $11.00 - pretty dramatic improvement I think.

Well my setup is very basic, but I can't afford an HDTV right now. Here it is anyway.

The television is a 20" Toshiba flat screen from 2002. The DVD player is hooked up with component cables, the GameCube with S-Video and the PS2 with composite. I ran out of room so my N64 and SNES systems are in the closet.

And if Best Buy ever gets more systems in stock, i'll be playing this on my new Wii. For now it just mocks me.

The vending machine itself (top half) goes for $500 flat.

The stand/base below it is I believe $100 and a must buy. Without it you are either vending soda into the floor or worst of all you don't have a place to keep food/snacks

Then the side panels are like $30 each and they had all the major sports to choose from and movies/tv shows were on the way.

It holds 12 cans of the first brand you want, 18 of the next, 18 of the next and 18 of the next for a grand total of 66 cans. Something like 30 or so bottles.

Im in the process of getting a Skybox(the venging machine) the problem is they are now discontinued and the panels are hard to find. Im holding off getting the machine until I find a 49ers panel.
