NOTE:

This post was from 2004. For all the newbies or those who don't read the date...this was LAST YEAR!!! yeesh.

After speaking to Rich (rocksays089), Ron (Canuck1), Ken (silversurfur65) and Steve (Michael Doyle), we're thinking about having an end of summer swap meet. By that time, hopefully NFL9 will be out by then. The proposed date is Sunday, August 29th some time in the afternoon. Just for us to hang out, trade, have some beer and food, and course..sh1ts and giggles. Anyone that has some time that day, come by!

Silversurfur65 is willing to open his home for this event and he lives in Brampton. If anyone is interested or has some input/feedback....please feel free to post here.

If you can't make it, don't worry.....most likely we'll have a swap meet again in November during the Expo (can anyone say Hockey Legends?!!) at that time as well. All are welcome!!

It is a WONDERFUL idea and the timing may work as well.I am interested in attending and have already talked to Silversurfur65.I always seem to need a regular something or an opener chase and the shipping cost outweighs making a trade.This works for me,I hope.
It will give me a reason to pickup Cooperstown and NFL chase that I have no need for.
As we have done before,we can post needs and wants here and hook up some trades ahead of the swap meet.
The other thought I had,with four weeks to go,is it would allow traders not in the Toronto area a chance to consolidate trades or sales with all the members heading to the swap meet.
Members may be able to buy from two or more members and get their figures shipped together..Just a thought...

I'm just south of Buffalo and I'd love to be there!!! I don't think anyone would drive me though, up there just for SPs. And since I'm getting out of hockey cards, I won't be attending the Expo this year.

Next year, after August 25th we should have one!!! I get my license that day and will be free to drive!!! Only one year, 3 weeks, and 3 days!!!

But who's really counting?
