Arrow UPDATE – 10/12 – NEWS & BEOWULF PACKAGING

Hi,

Stop by the NEWS section today for all the latest happenings around the McFarlane Companies, including a ‘HALO 3,’ Series 1 Spartan update, an NHL All-Star Game announcement, a Spencer’s exclusives announcementand the NFL Series 15 contest winner.

Today I have a few pics of YOUNG BEOWULF from the upcoming BEOWULF movie figures line…

Beowulf figures will be hitting retail stores this November!!!

That’s all from me. Let’s check in with Mark “Who ate all my cheesy fries” Weber for his half of the update…

Hiya folks!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote in yesterday’s Atlanta Hawks Sports Picks thread. Based on your feedback, Todd approved Josh Smith for the NBA 15 lineup (due in stores next November).

Today’s preview is another look at a packaged sample from NHL 16:

Huet and the rest of NHL 16 (Sidney Crosby 2, Simon Gagne and Jaromir Jagr 3) are scheduled to arrive in stores the first week of November. That’s all for today!

It's only a small change in the rounded edges of the packaging, but even small changes like that make it look really good.

No, the whole footprint of the clamshell is smaller. That's the whole reason they changed them.

I don't dislike them though, they look really realy nice.

Hey Jon I find it funny that Wal-Mart will have a halo toy exclusive but I rarely see any other Mcfarlane toys other than sports in the walmarts around me. Is it because of each store?

I used to see Mcfarlane toys in Wal-mart, but that was like 3 yrs. ago.

That is odd. Why would WM carry this new McFarlane fig? Prob because it is widely known character, even though it is based on a video game.

well is say on the news section that wal mart will have an exclusive, but like I said will have to see how the distribution is going to be on this line.

Are any of the Beowulf figures in scale with the movie? Grendel is about twice the size of Beowulf!

Nope, the change in packaging that they implemented for the good of all lines doesn't allow for nets to fit into the clamshell.

They are working on a CC item similar to the NBA backboard though.
