Default OT: Visiting NYC for the first time in Feb. What are some must do/see things?

I'll probably hit up the Devils/Islanders game... Maybe the Marilyn Manson concert...

Trying to plan some sweet stuff to do Im sure i'll have a blast regardless tho

Aside from what's already been mentioned, Chinatown, Broadway, various museums. Be sure to buy some bootleg DVD's/sunglasses/watches from various street vendors too

I was going to say nobody said the Museum of Natural History! Best damn museum I've ever seen, I really enjoyed it. What about the Army/Navy Museum on that old ship the Intrepid, is that still there?

A buddy of mine lives there, and he took us to all the non-touristy parts of the city, which were great.

I really liked Toy Tokyo and Forbidden Planet. If you collect toys (I'm assuming that you do), I highly recommend checking them out. Lots of cool stuff. There are also loads of tiny stores that sell all kinds of loose vintage figures in various conditions, so be on the lookout.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was amazing, and I wish I had more time there. It's not every day you get to see mummies, parts of ancient Egyptian temples, a medieval armory, Dalis, and Picassos all in the same place.

I also made a pilgrimage to CBGB, but it's no longer there.

Definently Toy Tokyo. I went to NY and hit up that place and spent AWHILE there. Most of Time Square was bleh. The TRU was fun though.

If you've got the time, you should really try assassinating Rudi Giuliani. That's what all the cool kids are doing these days.

Nothing I really know of. Maybe Pete Wentz's new bar but I forogt the name.

All the club/bars really closed when Rudy was in office. You can always go to the Continnetal right near St Marks.
