Default Sun glare

In your opinion, is this sun glare damaging my figures? I know direct sunlight does, but in this case... Thank you.

That doesn't look like it gets enough light to make a difference. I have a glass cabinet in my front room, which gets plenty of light, and not one figure has changed at all. Now my storm trooper who sits in my front window.....he's yellow. The helmet is still white.

Yes it will damage them...the colors will fade or be bleached out. Trust me I learned the hard way, the best is a dark room....it will keep the plastic from drying out and the colors vibrant.

I would protect them from the sunlight. Better to be safe than sorry.

That's why my window in my toy room is completely sealed off with a curtain, and i keep the lights dim! I used to have a few stormtroopers near a window, now they are ruined

Of course, this is if the window is open daily, right? A little sunlight now and then won't kill them right?

This sun glare lasts about 1 hour every morning, and to be honest I never felt comfortable seeing my showcase under it... Maybe I should find another place where the light is always dim, better safe than sorry. Thanks to everyone by the way!

Or use one of those cabinets with special little lights that museums have, apparently it's the only kinda illumination totally harmless. Gotta get ready to spend some change on it though...

Yes, plus you should hide the shame of your toy collecting from the world. Don't want them thinking you're trying to lure young goth kids into your home to see if they want to play "Demon Throat".

I think that if that glare is too hot your figs will warp.

No, actually it's not warm at all, my only concern was all about the light.

as long as they don't look directly at it...

any form of UV ray is bad for your figures, over time it will discolor them... I cringe every time I see someone's collection in a room with florescent bulbs... over time that stuff is just as bad as the sun.
