Got bored and decided to spruce up Crime Boss Destro a bit. First I did some heavy blacklining on his arms, which looked terrible--like some crappy tribal tats or something. Then, to make things worse, I decided to do some silver drybrushing on his torso and legs. That looked awful too. So, in an attempt to fix the mess I'd made, I painted over his torso with gloss black Testors acrylic, then painted over his arms with metallic silver. Still looked awful. Then I tried a blackwash and some more silver drybrushing. Still looked horrible. Finally, in desperation, I tried several washes with some watered-down metallic sequin black, followed by some very light silver drybrushing. Looks somewhat like burnished metal I guess. Added some drybrushing to his respirator, and blacklining to his weapons and knee pads. I also added a strap for his Uzi. Took me longer to fix all my mistakes than it did to actually paint the figure. Ah well, every figure is a learning experience I guess. Sorry about the dark images, but it's a cold, snowy day here.

Thanks. I was happy with how his arms finally turned out, particularly after how crappy they looked the first few times I repainted them.
