A weird incident

I'm a big collector of mcfarlane and neca figures, so i have them in my room in a big wood shelf, but later the other day, i count that i have at least 100 or 150 figures in the shelf and something weird happen, the smell of the plastic in group was too strong that i need to remove the shelf from my room, i always thought that the smell of the paint or the plastic fade away after remove the figures of the package but in this case it didn't, i put the figures in the hallway now and all is normal, does anybody have the same bizarre experience?

I have noticed that smell on some of my figs also.

My Spawn S27 figures still smell like gasoline. It's more noticeable when it's hot, but if you get close you can still smell.
