And when the economy improves another chain of mall stores will open in it's place.

KB was always overpriced as hell anyway.

Good for you, it's good to have your own opinions.

I never really liked K-B, and there hasn't been a K-B in Oklahoma for almost a decade now. But, the ones in Dallas were always overpriced.

Just FYI, They have done this about 10 years ago. This will be temporary.

I used to find some older stuff (sometimes stuff I've been searching for) at KB's for really good prices.

uh...no...it's not a temp deal this time - they are liquidating all assets to pay back their 200 million or so in debt - investors took a $.10 to the $1.00 deal on the last filing and won't do it again...

Anyone remembers FAO Shwartz (sp?) There was only one here in Houston and didn't last too long from what I remember. Now THEY were over priced.

Poor selection and non-competitive pricing, no surprise.

KB had an awful selection and their prices were terrible. Sure, they would discount stuff really quickly, but going in there felt like going into a garage sale.

It sucks that another toy store is going under, but I saw this from 10 miles away.

KB's always had awesome clearance sales. Back when I was a kid I remember spending what little cash I had on 10" scale Marvel figures. They would always be on sale, sometimes even cheaper than the 5" lines!

As a teenager bought most of my collection there on clearance. Toybiz Resident Evil, Duke Nukem from Resaurus and a whole bunch of Movie Maniacs for about $6 each. Those were good times!

They are overpriced because they are in Mall's. They need to jack up the price so they can afford to pay the rent. I think if they were to open a few B/M stores like TRU they would do ok

The three we had in my area that were not in malls went out of business years ago. The four remaining are all in malls.

There is only one around the area, and it looks like a tiny alley.

If they had awesome clearance sales, that means their merchandise was overpriced and nobody was buying it.
