Looks like ODST is going to expand the arsenal a bit

Considering how long it's taking to get the first Magnum, I don't even want to think how long it might take to get This Guy for The Rookie after he comes out this fall.

We'll see what new weapons actually come with Halo: ODST. Until we see in-game shots, nothing is confirmed.

Wow. I'm more interested in the pistol that the ODST is holding in terms of gameplay than the possibilty of it becoming packaged with future figures.

Ok, not that I'm complaining, but why are they makeing new guns that you don't have in H3, when this game is supposed to take place before or during the events of Halo 3? I like the gun, alot better then the Magnum. That Pistol reminds me of RE4. And I like it. I just think its stupid to make new guns for a prequal or alternate story of the same timeline. I mean if this was the future, sure go for it. But its not...

And I hope the figure comes with it. I would buy at least 3 or 4 solely for the gun and custom the extra figures.

That gun wasn't in the campaign but things might've changed since I've played. I am betting he will come with the silenced/scoped SMG.

I'm not being a **** or anything but, there are tons of possible explanations for that specific weapons absence during Halo 3. Maybe it is only issued to ODST's or some **** like that. There are a TON of weapons in the Halo universe and not all of them are in the games.

This is dumb and I really hope you realize why it is dumb. Every gun in existence in the Haloverse should have been in the game. Riiiight.

I think it's stupid not to make new guns for games that occur in the same timeline considering that there's so much they wanted to include in the games and universe and only have bite-size installments to do it in.

I mean, why in the name of Jesus do they only have iron sights on 99% of their in-game weapons?

Because, sir. Say for example Bungie release new armor, and you download this new armor and wear it in matchmaking. What if you run into somebody who does not have this armor downloaded? The game would **** up. New weapons on the other hand can be featured on specific maps. Just like the snow camo Warthog is exclusive to Avalanche and the 7-Wood is exclusive to Sandbox, the silenced SMG and this new pistol could be featured exclusively in the 3 new maps that come with Halo 3: ODST.

Bungie has already stated that they are in not going to release new armor and that's only a part of the reason.

New weapons would be nothing more than a new skin on an existing weapon. If that's the case, there's no point in adding them except as an aesthetic. And the 7-Wood is not a default weapon. Adding it as a skinned weapon would make it a magnum replacement that works just like a magnum. It's a moot point. Especially if it's not going to show up outside of custom games.

Why don't they just add VISR mode to Halo 3 campaign and multiplayer while they are at it. Lol. I seriously doubt they are going to add the SMG to Halo 3. Anything could happen I guess but...no, just no.

I'm not saying that they are going to add the new weapons to Halo 3. I'm saying that I think that there is a possibility that Bungie will include these new weapons in the 3 new maps that come with Halo 3: ODST. I'm not saying that they will add them to the whole game, as in, being able to use the new weapons on old maps, that's stupid.
